I have been trying 2 update my OS since forever. Keeps telling me there's not enough space, I have deleted all d apps that didn't come with the phone..fb,instagram,whatsapp etc still keeps telling me the same thing...also I can't read or reply msgs on my bbm, I can change my dp, pm n all but 1ce I try 2 open a ping 2 read or reply d bbm app closes...I don't know why and I don't know what 2 do. do u have any idea what I can do about this?

I know glo and airtel BIS works on blackberry 10 devices. What I don't know is if etisalat and mtn BIS works too. Please someone should brief me more on the better one among these mentioned networks. Also, is mtn daily BIS unlimited on bb10?

welcome to blackberry 10...MTN and Etisalat BIS do not work on BB10 devices...the Airtel BIS works BUT the #1400 for 3GB data doesnt work on BB10 devices..so becarefull to not subscribe to that plan if you choose to use the airtel BIS

I think mtn can hold on to their update which they no want to push to me, I will wait for 10.3.2

MTN knows nothing about the update push...the push came directly from BlackBerry...remove your sim and connect to wifi, then manually check for update

switch off your device, remove your sim, switch it back on and connect to Wifi

check for software updates

I tried it on 2 cards. My 16gb and 64gb. Wen I format dem, d msg goes away. Wen I copy bk my files, d msg comes bk. The cards are working just dat d msg appears wen I remove and insert or restart fone

if you have encypted data on media card using BB, you have to decrypt that data on that media card using that particular BB otherwise you can never access the data on another BB or media card

Are you talking of a single card or you're swapping cards?

I think the flickering and rotation lock issues are two different beasts.

Anyone experienced the screen flickering issue?

A bit more update on the GLO BIS data sharing issues....BlackBerry bridge between the Playbook and a legacy BBOS doesn't connect to the internet anymore but BB10/PB still works

i doubt if you can find any cafe with fast network in Nigeria....cafes charge for time...the slower the network, the longer you are forced to stay to do anything you need to do and the more money for the cafe

Glo has blocked hotspot capability on their bis data especially pronounced on legacy devices...and now even if the sim is in a BlackBerry 10 device, you can't share data anymore...noticed it on this current subscription I'm on

Is your phone branded? The update has not been pushed to branded phones....only unbranded devices are getting the update pushed from BlackBerry directly

pls guys after updating my z10 to the latest os 10.3.1.1565(official) my phone has developed issues. after
booting for some minutes all apps crashes and nothing opens afterwards. The network after a while goes to voice only. nothing seems to be going right any longer pls help is needed. would there be a likely solution soon cos its now frustrating.

Cause:

There is currently not enough free space (internal device memory) on the smartphone to install the update successfully. The BlackBerry 10 OS requires 2.5 times the downloaded package size, for example, an update package of 1GB will require a total of 2.5GB's free space to download and install successfully.

Resolution

Option 1

Complete one of the following options and related steps to resolve the issue:

Perform the update via BlackBerry Link, or by visiting http://www.BlackBerry.com/update

Option 2

To continue with an Over The Air Software (OTA) Update, remove data (applications and media) from the BlackBerry smartphone's internal memory until there is enough free space by following the actions below. The software update message will show exactly how much space is required to be freed up, for example:

"Please free up additional 401 MB of space to continue with this update."
"You can move files to your media card or remove applications that you don't use."
Help in determining what to move or delete:

First, review the data and amount of storage space being consumed by installed applications or games, and each media type. You can then choose to either move data out of internal memory to the SD card, or delete applications or games.

Open Settings and then select App Manager and then Device Monitor. Within this application select Storage. After a few seconds this will display how much memory each application or game has consumed, as well as how much media has been added to the device; the media is broken down into pictures, music, and videos, each grouped on their own. This view shows only the internal memory consumption and does not display media or data saved to the SD card. After reviewing how much memory is being used by applications or games, and media, a decision can be made to either move data or delete applications by following any of the actions below.

Move data from internal memory to the SD card. If a SD card has been inserted into the BlackBerry Smartphone the File Manager application can be used to move the data from internal device memory to the SD card storage.

Open the File Manager application from the BlackBerry home screen.
Select the files and/or folders you would like to move by touching the item (select Select More to move multiple items at once).
Select Move from the menu the appears on the left.
Navigate to the SD card and to the location you would like the items moved to.
Select Move.
Deleting Applications in Device Monitor:

Note: Deleting an application will remove all application data, for example: high scores, game progress, app settings, etc..

If data is unable to be moved out of internal memory another option is to delete applications. You can choose which applications to delete in order to free up the required space by reviewing their size within Device Monitor. To delete an application while in the Device Monitor application:

Open Settings and then select App Manager and then Device Monitor. Within this application select Storage. Note: This step is not required if you are already in Storage.
Choose the application.
Select Delete.
Deleting Applications from the BlackBerry home screen:
Touch and hold the application. Once the application on the screen begins to pulse, tap the trash bin icon next to the application and then select Delete.
