i did the airtel blackberry unlimited subscription on my z10 but its not coming on even though i already got a confirmation sms from airtel telling me 2 do a hard reset and the service will come on. i called customer service and was told its not working cos i'm not using the dedicated z10 plan..........how far guys? tot it was supposed 2 work due to the earlier comments on this thread...its a new airtel line though. what should i do? pls help o, my 3k is on the line

since its a new line, try and do the 1 day, 10mb data @100...the short code is *141*712*11# to jump start the sim

you can upgrade to the leaked 10.2.0.1047 or you can update the android run time. your friend who helped you sideload the game should be able to sideload the android runtime.

maybe the game needs a debug token that your friend didn't install but the two steps above might solve that problem

Open the contact app, swipe down from the top and select settings

Toggle on all the accounts you want to see in the contact app

There's nothing your galaxy can do that the Q10 cannot do. Your galaxy doesn't have bbm though and Q10 has it

Reinstall your os using BlackBerry Link. Note that you need to have Internet connection on your pc when you do the re-installation

I don't think clearing error log is the solution to the problem. The BlackBerry 10 software doesn't hang so if you have that problem it must be something else.

A few things you can try to isolate what the problem could be are,
1. do a hard reset,
2. update your BlackBerry 10 software to the latest version 10.1 MR

If you still experience the hang, then you could be using a hardware not designed for gsm network

if you must have a physical Keyboard, go for the Q10...the Keyboard is bad a$s

cassette: I must warn that this upgrade is a battery killer especially when you use 3G half the time
.I already had to replace my Z10 battery less than 2 weeks into the upgrade

its not the upgrade that kills your battery its YOU ...i mentioned earlier in this thread that people should avoid allowing their battery to drain completely as that shortens the life of the battery.

keep your phone plugged in when u are close to a power source

its normal for a smart phone to become warm when there's high antenna activity. its usually related to data transmission. if your phone is working extra hard to maintain high speed data connection, it will become warm

to solve that, you will need to drop down from 3G to 2G or move to an area with better signal

Z10 has higher spec compared to the Q5...if you must get something with a keyboard, Q10 is what u should be comparing to the Z10

that's because BBWorld is set by default to not allow excessively large files download using cellular network. just another way Blackberry likes to look out for the interest of the users

BUT

you can change the setting by going to Blackberry World;
SWIPE down from the top;
Select Settings (Gear icon);
Select Network & Data Limits...
Toggle 'Use Wifi Only' off

is your PC connected to the internet? what is supposed to happen is that it restores your OS to the latest official OS but that can only happen if you are connected to the internet

you will need a PC with Blackberry Link installed.

there's a button in Blackberry link for refreshing the OS. dont forget to back up your important files because everything will be wiped

if you are based in lagos, change your 'Network Mode' to 2G

Settings->Network Connections->Mobile Network->Netwwork Mode

you have to long press the link to the song and wait for the context sensitive menu to appear on the right hand side of the screen, then click the 'save linked file' icon

i have a GS3 and a Z10 and as much as i agree with you that the BB10 native twitter app is not yet at the same level as the android version, i wont go as much as saying it is horrible

just one or two updates and they will be at feature par with the android. Native facebook already achieved that with the addition of chat
