gykes: l stay in PH, agip estate... I also noticed whenever the H was stable (capital H without the bb logo) all other apps were connecting except bbm.. What could possibly be the problem? Thats the apn I'm using. Glo comonth ryt?

Just to bring to ur knowledge, its a new glo sim, is that affecting it in anyway??

I stay in pH too and I get H with the BlackBerry logo. I had used my sim extensively on legacy BlackBerry devices before BlackBerry 10 came out so your sim being new could be a reason for what you are experiencing.

We know new airtel sim need to be jump started before the regular bis works on a BlackBerry 10 device, maybe that is what is happening to you.

If you can put the sim in a legacy BlackBerry for a few days that could help stabilize it

gykes: plz whats th apn u used? I just subscribed to glo comonth 1k4 and its not working Though i noticed the e is fluctuating (capitalised E and small e)..plz help a brother.

zilomes: Please someone should help me confirm glo BIS still works in BB10. Been using MTN for 2 months now and have been in hell. I rarely browse with it cos d size data allocated is like a fish in d Ocean. Each time I login facebook I consume close to 30MB of my 500MB bundle. I read GLO gives 3GB. I dnt mind porting to any brighter side of life.

there are many devices with non-removable battery...the most popular of them is the iPhone. HTC 1 also has a non-removable battery so the Q5 having a non-removable battery is not a big deal or a deal breaker

if there's a factory problem with the battery, you simply return it within the warranty period and get a replacement

I think it is. The 10.1 MR is the latest official release so if you follow official software method, that's the version you'll get

sydney01: Tnx gykes. I can actually "browse" for channels. Buh I cnt find an option for adding a channel when u got d channel pin.

When you browse for channels, you can open the channel and even preview the channel activities but at all times there's a join button at the bottom of the screen that you can use to join the channel easily

Like someone mentioned, you can also join a channel by adding the channel pin the same way you add a BlackBerry pin

vozkini: bros is not so shaa, like i earlier told you. i am using glo mid month on my q10. they allocate 2GB to me at the cost of 1400naira. while max month cos 3000 with 3GB data.
it works fine and am getting 3G on my fone as well as 2GB.

You're talking about dedicated BlackBerry 10 data plan and I'm taking about regular bis plan

a bit of awesome news this morning...you have heard of Blackberry BetaZone ( a place exclusively for BB enthusiasts and geeks to test the latest apps before they are released to the wider public)

well its now available in app form...the biggest thing being tested right now is BBM Channels (the improvement over BBM group)

if you are interested, follow this link (preferably from your BB10) to download the app

once it installs, open and create a new BlackBerry Zone account using your current BBID and you should see a list of apps in beta that you can rock out

Rowybest: Pls guys is there any difference if ur phone is put on 4g and 2g, either in speed or facility.

my bad...yeah of course there's a difference....2G is EDGE, a slower and older data transmission technology...4G typically refers to LTE which is the latest in mobile data transmission technology but is not yet implemented in Nigeria. the best is currently at 3.75G (H+) and that is not even widespread

like someone just mentioned below, 2G speed places less demand on your phone due to restricted and slower data transmission so if you are going to be without a charging point for a significant length of time, you can drop down to 2G to conserve battery life

to update your BB10 to the 10.1MR, you need a wifi connection if your BB is not allowing you to use your cellular data

3GB is the data limit for GLO BIS. the data limit for the "dedicated BB10" plan is 1.5GB however

just open Blackberry World and you should receive a prompt that you have upgrades available

if you are based in lagos and abuja, you won't get anything faster than 2G and yes it still works

are u trying to log into your yahoo account via the web browser? that's so 1999

you need to just link your yahoo account to your BB .

Just go to Settings->Accounts
