Car Talk / Re: How Much Did You Buy Fuel This Morning? by walemoney007(m): 10:00am On Feb 09, 2022
TemmyT002:
It's a strategy.
One Okada rider told me that they will first make the fuel scarce. Then when people are so desperate to find fuel, they will bring it back and increase the price.
The people will be so happy to get fuel that they won'tcomolsin about the price.
Them just dey waste themselve time

There will never be a fuel increase this year

grin In Abuja here, APC government decided to punish us since we did not vote for PMB here. We queue for hours and hours to get fuel here.

I went round town yesterday searching for less congested filling stations as if I was treasure hunting.

It is so bad. We now spend one or two hours in traffic morning and evening since Lagos people decided to flood into Abuja thinking we are enjoying here, only to make the matter worse.

Many of them are regretting now. All of us dey suffer the traffic grin now.
People are moving into Abuja in large numbers from every part of Nigeria.

No, Lagos already has one. The new one for the SW will be in Ilawe, Ekiti State. They merely mentioned Lagos to highlight that the SW now has 2 just like the SE has one in Enugu already and a new one in Okija, Anambra state.
Oh!! Thank you jawe

I was confuse and wandering why a new law school will be created in Lagos state again.

I think you need to read up on these two cases. Because of click baiting for traffic, some incompetent bloggers/journalists report in a shallow way that ends up giving wrong impression to their readers.

The case of HE OUK that started over 10 years ago still has not ended because SC lifted his conviction on technicality ground but EFCC is starting the case all over again even though he is arguing that it will amount to double jeopardy but this HE Okorocha case is just starting, trust EFCC to wear him thin too like they did to OUK.

That Okorocha's lawyer is not cheap o. To take him from here in Lagos, Norman Williams in Ikoyi, to PH for a case is not cheap; traveling by flight, accommodation, clerical support, professional fees etc wink Those kind of SAN lawyers are experienced in dragging cases for years and it's no small thing for EFCC to eventually get folks like Okorocha convicted.

To convict Farouk Lawan took like 12 years, OUK too took more than 10 years, I will be surprised if this Okorocha case does not linger for 10 years but EFCC will eventually convict him for as long as he is guilty of those monumental fraud he is charged with. EFCC is not doing a small job o.

Even the same thing happens in the US too. Donald Trump is notorious for that approach too until now that most courts in US are now accelerating cases linked to him.

Well done to all the patriots in EFCC. May God bless you for your patriotic service.

All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose. God bless Nigeria forever.
Amen!!

He should go and pick his passport since the EFCC has told him to come for it.

He had time to go to Aso Rock but no time to visit EFCC to collect his passport.
So nah like this the case against Okorocha go end?

President Buhari should send a bill to the National Assembly that will stop this kind of court orders that stop Security Agencies from carrying out their duties

Orju Uzo Kalu too is now walking as a free man.

The only judgement that is correct.
Nigerian courts really need to find a way to harmonize, a situation whereby judges go dey give conflicting judgement is not so good.

The court strike out the case because nah party affairs, but the same FHC gave a judgement against Ganduje faction in the APC in Kano state even though is just an internal party affair.

Politics / Re: Igboland Has More Land Than Japan (see Facts) by walemoney007(m): 12:34pm On Feb 08, 2022
wirinet:

Why and when did igbos become traders - pre colonialization, pre - independence or after the biafra war? Igbos have been migrating, particularly up north before independence and even before amalgamation. What were igbos trading in the early 1900 that made many of them migrate up north?

Igbos region is not conducive for trading. Yes a region is conducive for trading if you are a link or thouroughfare between manufacturers and the market. For example Middle East was/is a link between China (producer) and Europe (market). Same with ancient Venice. Igboland has no advantage whatsoever in trading within west Africa. Even during the slave trade, Calabar, Badagry, Cape coast were the slave trading ports.

I hate it when you guys compare yourselves to the Jews or other people. The histories are very different. The Jews were driven from their land twice. First under Babylon and second under Romans in AD70. They came back after Hitler killed over 6 million of then with the sympathy of the winners of the war. Do you think there would have been an Israel or even jew if Hitler had won the war? The Jews had been under every major super power the world has ever had - Babylon, Egypt, Persia, Rome, British.

The Lebanese were involved in a bitter civil war that saw mass migration to other parts of the world.

How many Chinese are in Nigeria compared to the general population? How many Chinese want to migrate to Nigeria. I am sure there are more igbos in China than chinese in the whole of Nigeria.

Yes Africa has more than 50 countries, but how many are ready to accommodate igbos - Ghana, Cameroon, South Africa, Morocco. Igbos generally don't get along with their host communities for one reason or the other. I doubt many countries would be ready to take in mass migration of igbos, particularly if all they intend doing is trade.

I am not excusing Fulanis. I am only pointing out that Fulanis are nomads and they follow water and grazing routes of their cows and the markets.

While getting the inland port at Onitsha operational is a very good economic plan, making it happen is very comply and costly. Firstly, I was not built to accommodate container ships, it was built by the British to move primary produce to the sea, by steam boats. Those boats are nowhere big as container ships of today. To make the river accommodate container ship would require extensive dredging to expand the depth and width of the river. To do that you guys have to negotiate with your brother - the Ijaws. Abacha attempted to dredge the river to Onitsha but was stopped by the Ijaws.

The ijaws won't agree to the Niger Delta getting dredge, it will lead to the destruction of marine life, environment and the Creeks in the delta

The Japanese were not really happy to have such a small land mass and in 1941 launched total war on their neighbors ,China,Korea Philippines and even Russia to get land. How and why ?
Do you understand Kano politics?

Power has left ganduje since 2018.. reason why shekarau became an option.
If power left Ganduje, he won't have won the 2019 Governorship election. And why was Shekarau faction not inaugurated by the Caretaker committee?

The court has no business with internal party issues. I'm sure you followed the case between Aregbesola faction and Oyetola faction in Osun state?

Why is asari stressing

Thought he used to have his own Biafra outfit too.. what happened to that one..

Asari is not telling Nigerians the truth .. a toad not to run for afternoon for nothin .. either his pursing something or something is pursuing it

Guess Yoruba people are too gullible out of hate .. Sophistication include making use of the brain to reason

Everybody's right stops where another's begins. Herding is a business. A lucrative one in that matter. It stands to reason that everyone involved in business should not in anyway become a nuisance to the society or worst a threat to the survival of his host. This has been the Hallmark of the Fulani herdsmen irrespective of who owns the cattles.

The way and manner/boldness with which they invade their host communities with violence leaves one with no option than to either stand to defend himself or die.

Worst still, is government open support to their nefarious activities. Such utterances merely emboldened them. "Give your land to herdsmen if you want them to stop killings"

To bring peace and a lasting one, herdsmen must carry out their activities as business, leasehold, rent, or buy land.

This killings MUST STOP
