imperiouxx: She is joking..... she has hooked up, only no internet can stop her.She better be...'cos she is still the present "first lady" of this thread...well maybe until her tenure is over...lol |
Please help mε̲̣̣̣̥ out,I want to travel abroad to further my studies but don't know Ĥ♡Ѡ to go about it.I did industrial maintenance Engineering in Yabatech for my ND and came out with pass. Would I need to start afresh abroad or what and Ĥ♡Ѡ would I go about it?Can I use my ND to further more and is SAT or TOLF necessary for international student? In case I want to start with my Olevel is it possible pls advice mε̲̣̣̣̥ I'm in my late twenties.
well..with a pass in ND, well i cannot say much, but you will definitely need to write SAT and TOEFL, apply to the school using your O levels and ND result, the major thing is for the school to offer you admission, try to perform excellently in SAT so as to overcome the hustles of the embassy, also with your age, there's no problem if you can defend yourself and your "wait times" to the VO...above all do all with faith and determination and you'll get it...others can shed more light |
imperiouxx: I'm good and preparing for 3rd-4th quarter. I need this whole MS end soon, there are many grounds to break. No worries bro, very soon you go dey smile... |
Yvete: lolIt's not "their" thread...it's "our" thread, at least you have given more advices to people than i or anyone apart from imperiouxx has.. |
Yvete: LoooolYeah, you may be correct to a point, it's okay to discuss some other things outside visa at times, but it becomes disturbing when it's now an everyday issue to always talk about "other stuff" not related to visa, I know we want to keep the thread lively and on but i personally feel we have chased away so many prospective visa applicants due to the way we answer them when they ask questions and we decide to neglect them and discuss our own "issues"...I have also said some jokes or said stuff not related to visas but I don't do it everyday, some people are scared now that if they ask a question, they will be insulted or talked to out of anger and disgust so they have just decided to keep mute and read whatever they can grab from the thread...we can joke or derail a bit but not all the time... |
imperiouxx: Even after you. At least I stand against those spreading panic and derailing it. And still kept it going for what it's meant for. That's very good!...howfa |
Adolite: Why is this place kind of silent todayit's simply quiet because the main purpose of this thread has been sidelined and this thread has now become some people's sitting room...lol |
odowetalu: It was by 10:45am Abuja consulate.Hmmmm...I guess this should be a lesson to those who wants to go to CCs because of money, why waste all that money on Visa applications when you can save it, apply to a good school and get your Visa...The VO smelt your intentions real strong....My advice, apply to a University and go for your visa, petroleum engineering no be beans and garri wey dem dey offer for CCs |
Uzodynmah: Hello House, my student visa was approved today. I have been following this thread and this was actually my first visa attempt. Thank you allCongrats bro...give us the gist! |
I think some people here need to "Hug a Transformer" ![]() |
imperiouxx: Like I said, Biochem is versatile..... making people multifunctional. One last switch in my education I'm on the right path into Biomedical science (Health) purpose of my daily research. If US can't contain us all, Canada is there for a postdoc(Job).Na so oooo |
moroh: E tire me too o, everybody dey go Texas, etc no one wan show for my side..I don dey watch thread since months now...Na CA you dey?...yes oo all of them dey Texas...and i love Texas food ooo...I dey go Texas Roadhouse for here go chop at times..I love their steak.. |
geodarmy: May God help us all.amen ooo....are you in California...are y'all telling me no one's in CA here...i'm more lonely than imperiouxx ooo |
geodarmy: If you are not a United States Citizen or Permanent resident and talking about heart desires, ain't you deceiving yourself? We all came to the USA to live the America dream and to stay in the USA legally, what happens if after your education you can't land a job with a degree that is not "sellable". I personally don't see anything wrong if you study the environment you find yourself in to determine what is in vogue or selling that can put food on your table or a roof on your head - A wise man would do that.Well you may be correct to a point, but one thing i've come to realize is that, the US government aren't silly and know what they want, foreign students are the ones holding up the economy of this country to the level it is presently, not just any foreign student but foreign students in STEM majors particularly...you can hardly find "Americans" studying engineering courses, and of course after graduation, the companies here would require the services of such people to be able to run effectively and meet their goals, moreover foreign students are rugged and reliable considering the places most of them came from...and yeah healthcare is equally good but like someone said, what are the prospects of getting a job after you study healthcare or an oil and gas related course, it's not automatic, you still have to fight for your space in the job arena, and i think it applies to most courses....let's refrain from confusing people, and that you don't get a job in the USA doesn't mean you wouldn't get in any other country, you have an international degree which makes you a perfect match for many countries worldwide, I have a friend who schooled in the UK for his masters in Mech Engineering and now works in UAE for Schlumberger...follow your route is my own ooo..."cos changing because someone said so might just be the mistake you were ever gonna make in your life. |
Na waa ooo...me i don dey tire for this thread...why must everything be about tension, if you can help someone's inquiry then do that without saying anything offensive, if you cannot then just keep mute!....this applies to those in Nigeria seeking their visas as well as those here in the US who have their visas....if someone is confused about making a decision, if you can give the person an advice without insults, that's good, but if you know you must add insults, then just skip the question and let someone else answer it, some of us were in their shoes while we were seeking visas, only if you could go back to see the kinda questions you were asking those that were here when you weren't and was still an applicant, you wouldn't answer the way you are presently....and for those still back home, don't also come and ask questions or say statements that may brew tension...this thread is for "visa inquiries" not "school application inquiries"...so it is expected that you only ask visa or standardized tests related questions and not what school or course to pick, and now i think that's what's finally taking over this thread which defeats the original purpose of this thread... |
ollyboy1: Thank you so very much. I will do just that, you're welcome bro.... |
smithjanetstore: house make una help me out of what to do pls and the school gave me an international presidential schorlarship is not because i have been typing scanning but my friend wey go give me wrong documents ooo is nt becaus i have been typing or scanning or printing i told him to give me at least ond transcript and certificate but the guy na bad person he just decieve me ni joorI don't seem to understand...lol...or who understands?...maybe you have to rephrase it bro...is this a question, statement or a mixture of both? |

Well i doubt if that's possible...the embassy may not give you a visa once the date on your I-20 has been exceeded...so i will say you defer till whenever the school says and wait till then before you go for your interview. |
imperiouxx: Imagine you - a novice who always think US admission is like ticket to heaven and love fully baked cake, and you came across hungry agent who told you he will get you US admission even without TOEFL, less much of other standardize tests and with just some amount........Won't you go for him or you continue beating around the bush looking for something that isn't lost?even at that I still wonder why, with the internet at our beck and call, someone...an undergraduate or graduate or even a secondary school leaver would need an agent to search for schools for him or her...what's the purpose of google?...it's as easy as typing on google "list of universities in the usa"...and you'll get results and check the schools out yourself, If you don't know how to use the internet or a computer, then what are you looking for in USA where everything is about the internet and computers...and na only lazy student no go wan do at least TOEFL... |
olarwarlay: Salute to the moderators and contributors here, i have been following the thread for a while. Pls i need your help o, I applied to Virginia International University to study Business Administration and i am yet to send my documents though i have paid the processing fee already. The school doesn't require the TOEFL score but I am scared 'coz almost everyone in here is saying you should write the TOEFl exams even if the school doesn't require it. Please advice Me on what to do as i applied for Summer1 which starts in May and time is going... Thanks in anticipation of your response. God bless y'allThis VIU is fast becoming the most popular school in the USA now ooo...shei i no go transfer go that school sef, at least my tuition fee may get reduced by half...shebi all na American school...lol ![]() |
@ Walex and @ ALL, good 'noon. Pls how do I get a cheap flight to houston texas on the 11.1.2013. D prices am seeing r outrageous. Pls help one, help all. Tnx
I think you have been well answered by snazzygirl, imperiouxx and others,...if you feel the price is too outrageous, then consider breaking your flight to see if it gets any cheaper...like go to www.wakanow.com and search for flights from Lagos to New York (which is always the cheapest flight destination from nigeria to the USA)probably royal air maroc, eygptair and so, don't consider iberia, arik, british airways and the likes cos their prices fit break neck at this peroid, then search on google for flights from NY to Houston probably jetblue airlines...you will need to spend the money all the same if you must meet your resumption date so act fast...all the best |
funmiad: pls house..can i defer my admission after entering the US..Bro...lemme tell you the fact...to get a job as an international student is like taking a camel through a needle's eye...what work are you thinking about sef...$8 per hour job for 20 hours or less a week? i will advise you do not defer after entry else you will fall "out of status"....defer before coming and remain in naija till your deferment is over or when you have acquired enough money...USA is not for faint-hearted international students ooo...don't worry bro it is well |
Yvete: I believe you're hot all day, everyday.ok now let's continue with the purpose of this thread....who's next for testimony? |
I don't understand why you guys would always wanna fight....i'm really disappointed in s-beauty and yvete...even if you are angry, try to accommodate it and let it pass...please...fighting or abuses will not resolve anything but cause more harm...it's your right to get angry or say some stuffs but please, let's either let it pass or say it in a more respectable form...most of us are graduates or undergraduates here...abeg...God be with us alll...oya S-beauty and Yvete...smile to yourselves now ![]() |
imperiouxx: You got the VO wrong. He wasn't the first to denied paywole, though we don't know the reason for the first deny but I'll buy the idea that the AE Technology sounds to them like a course which should be offered in technical schools.Ohhhh now I get it...then let him change the course to a more "university-like" course...like mechanical engineering and then he can specialize in automobiles or automotive systems...@paywole is that ok? |
Paywole: visa!visa!! visa!!! second refusal in a year anyway no shit..heres the story..Lagos embassy for the 8:30 appointment 4 V.Os we were very few compared to my first interview i was even thinking those V.O wud think lets issue all of them jor.. but mehn that wasn't the case.okay back to the story lineSorry Bro...i'm yet to figure out what might have gone wrong, he shouldn't deny you based on the fact that you would be the first to come to the embassy with such course, there's always a first to everything...you sure this is complete or revised?...i'm so sorry bro |

Departure date is 12th of JanuaryBor check out wakanow.com now, i saw a flight on royal air maroc from lagos to new york for $1026 and then a connecting flight from NY to Boston on Jetblue airline for $180 which gives your total journey as $1206 total...it's the best i could find bro...rush it now... http://www.wakanow.com/NG/flights/listing.aspx?searchId=itd2sredhbndsbuapkcrxgdi1873914480 and https://www.google.com/flights/?hl=en#search;f=EWR,JFK,LGA;t=BOS;q=flight+from+new+york+to+boston;d=2013-01-13;r=2013-01-17;s=0;a=B6 take care |
