I've been reading comments posted..and somehow no one seem to talk about the innocent man in the BMW returning from a vigil..while some people support drunk driving, others are just "whatever"....You need to pray that you don't become the innocent caught in the web, when the guilty are receiving their punishment....RIP to all that lost their lives especially "Lucky" who happened to be my secondary school mate...but my condolences go to the family of the innocent guy in the BMW. |
imperiouxx: First of all, congrats that you went through the previous threads and I know by now, you should be confident and know what you are expecting/expected of you. Now to your questionsSeconded by Me ![]() |

ronald2g1: I thank Almighty Allah for his mercy on me. @house I got my f1 visa today at the lagos embassy, although I was scared because the guy @ dlast counter denied all students that approachd him and my no appeard on his side. But with experiences frm nairaland both the success ones and denial (because if they didn't hv d courage to post deir denial u probably uldnt hv learnt frm deir mistakes) and self confidence and God factor, I was d first guy today that d lastguy gv a visa and also a 10am appointmnt for that matter. I thank nairaland gurus, imperious, kpooli, walex biofem and others that I hv failed to mention. God bless u all! Advice for odas is be confidence, study u skul faculty n use a research study to convince vo, and also talk wiv prove, as he was askin, I was sayin answrs n showin documnts wivout him even askin. LolCongrats Bro welcome on board... |
My F-1 visa got approved dis mrng @ d lagos embassy.... It ws just God o!
Congrats sis...welcome on board! |

Yvete: See me see wahala! I don't wish to dig up any dirt, but I feel the need to respond to you. Did I ask you not to attend the community college or imply that your Dad is not rich? FYI: As a smart lady,Abeg e be like say we go gist about the bolded area ooo...how can we pls?...Thanks |
kpolli: Sorry if I sounded harsh or out of line. . . . wasn't in my best of moods. . .No worries bro...how your side? |
ferdimako: Guy, for the fact you have been using 23401 and 23402 and having your stuff delivered does not mean they are correct. When you go to the US pls get the correct zip code of where u live or work. 234 is for calling Nigeria and when you go to a NIPOST office your street zip code will be revealed to you. Because Nigeria does not make most use of their zip codes, should not make us tell others to stick to a wrong thing. My area zip code here in Jos is 930282.I wasn't standing my ground that i was correct...i may be wrong...what i mean is the way some people approach others here is very annoying...i know the zip code thing isn't really necessary but i don't like people making an issue out of nothing...if i'm wrong tell me politely not in an annoying manner... and moreover i'm already in the US.. |
kpolli: I only responded to the poster not to be afraid cos naija's official zip code is not 23401 so that can't be the reason he wasnt seeing the tracked info until some ppl who knew best tried to challenge knowledge. . . .Kpolli...the only reason i didn't respond to your reply was just because you seem to want to put up a quarrel about the zip code thing and i like playing safe...all i know is that i do use 23401 or 23402 for ibadan and my mails got to me...but i don't think it should really be an issue...more so we all understand english and know how to seek answers (replying to your "what is a zip code" question)...i didn't expect such question in the context in which you used it 'cos i could read a thousand and one meanings to that question the way you asked it...no hard feelings bro. |
kpolli: 23401 is not a naija zip code ooo, its for Keller, VirginiaContrary to that...23401 is actually Nigeria's zip code for Lagos!....it's widely accepted...i dunno where you got your facts from bro...but i guess google is the best shot at seeking for info... |
kaytee07: Thanks peeps. Interview was yesterday @ the Lagos Embassy with a black American guy. Here's how it went: Can't even remember if I greeted him.Congrats bro...sounds very similar to mine...did you go through my interview experience?...welcome on board! |
mr swagger: Hello house, Oga imperioux and others I need your advice on this. I intend applying for admission for undergraduate fall 2013 resumption. I went to my high school to get all necessary documents with the transcripts from the school. My high school package everything for me.You can send all of them at once...as long as the transcripts and other documents being sent by the school are sealed....i sent all my documents at one through my school...they put all of them into one big envelope but my transcripts were sealed in smaller envelopes by the school...why waste too much money... |
dnpasion: It was really a sad day for me because i got Denied today at Lagos Us Embassy and here is how my interview went. Firstly i was bit nervous when answering the questions.I'm so sorry to hear this, Don't worry, Kit up very well...and pls try to know much about your school and the course which includes knowing all the faculties in your department...Wish you the best next time. |

deevick246: Madam Yvete, I hope your last comment does not imply that you are backing off from this thread? Please, don't. The thread need people with balanced eye of criticism like you on here. I have seen some of your contributions/suggestions here and they are well articulated. Hence, please continue doing your humanitarian job here. Thank you ma.Na waa ooo i wonder when fights will end for this thread...you guys should take it easy ooo...Yvete and AnthonyMighty...please take it easy... |
To a certain extent, your career choices greatly affect you here. As a migrant, I'd advise you to pursue a degree that's easily marketable especially if you're gonna reside long term/permanently in the US.
I like your attitude towards the visa situation. *Nice one* I think you deserve better than half-baked institutions with poor Alumni network. Forget about that joke of an interview and nail the GRE to increase your chances of better Grad Schools with funding. Its OK to change careers at any level so if IT is your passion, follow it.
