yankison: Ok boss nice try , but how many pages did u printout , am thinking the first page dat carries the scores and name is most relevanti printed all the preceeding pages as well not just the first page and i stapled them together. |

Yeah as long as your original TOEFL result isn't with you, the online printout is acceptable, just be armed with your username and password should incase the VO wants to confirm...that was what i used although it wasn't asked for from the VO |
GboyegaD: Walahi, those boys are unrepentant. Imagine, I moved the last bowl of stew into the freezer and brought the vegetable to the fridge. I woke up and found a vegetable stained fork in the zinc and so I checked my vegetables and saw that they had scapped it again. I had to accost them but they both denied. Anyways, it was only summer lease I signed so I dey move out by the end of summer. The thing vex me because me I dey struggle pay and person wey dey come school on financial aid dey steal my food.hehehehehehe...my belle ooo... .....so dem dey scrape food for yankee...hmmm...infact i'm not only coming with shelf and padlock..i'm also coming with naija made chain...and i will intergrate it with alarm system #kitting up#... ![]() |
imperiouxx: Pack of burritos will be good for you. Email me on yahoo imperiouxx is the id, we can be connected on facebook when less busy or no semester o.ok connecting u ASAP.. |
GboyegaD: Sorry I have been a little scarce. Na one of my roommates vex me and for some time, I prefer coming home late at night because I do not want to fight with anyone and that has one way reduced my nairaland browsing. i would want to suggest that if you would be living in an apartment where you have roommate, do not familarise yourself too much with them because in my case, my roommate each time he sees me cooking usually says he likes adrican stew (he is a black american). We got talking more and I realised he was a very good friends with one of my first cousins and that made us talk more. Most times when I fry my chicken he would ask to buy a piece and out of courtesy I would ask him to take one. Since I prefer cooking my stew for like 3weeks at a point, one day, I slept very late because i was busy cooking and to my dismay, 3days after, I brought out one of the stew and I saw only one meat and I felt maybe I wasn't sure. Bringing out the next bowl, I realised all the meats were nowhere to be found. i got so upset that I had to start hanging out till late because I do not want to fight with him since the lease I signed with the apt was for only lease. The most annoying is that the only day I used one of his disposable plates, he took the others out of the kitchen. He keeps eating my fruits which I feel is no biggie before now but you can never get anything from him. I have learnt what familiarity could cause and I am only trying to advice my people here.Eeya...Continuation of hostel life for naija university...lol....go build shelf and buy padlock make u dey lock am like the good old days (Uni days).....lol...anyway the guy did wayyy too bad..habaaa with all the survival tactics wey we dey do for yankee somebody go dey put sand for our garri... |
I tink dat question should be directed to jamb and d schools I applied to. I asked a straight forward question , no need for d joke. U wrote jamb and prolly got admitted and did ur undergraduate, good,I wasn't as lucky as u are. I tink dis is now my time. Abeg help answer my question though.
your answer is ok but i dey fear for undergraduate degree wey u wan go for ooo...but pls if you're gonna give this answer be ready also to answer this question that follows it..."what was/were your major functions at this company"?...you must be very convincing with your answer...hope you filled your job functions on your DS-160 form then if you did...say exactly what you filled there under employment....use body language when speaking don;t just stand idle...your demonstrations will go a long way in helping your confidence level....the job you are into here, is it in anyway related to what your wanna go for?....look for the link if you've not thought about it before...at 22 yrs you're still in line for an undergrad degree but ur confidence and comportment will play a great deal....know about the courses you're going to offer in your school....wish you all the very best....come share your testimony |

sndrmrtns: You do not need travel insurance from here and put your school address on I-94 form to avoid any question. Thanks my guy....really appreciate |
Guys in the US in the house, I gat some questions to ask...please at the airport, a friend of mine will be coming to pick me up and i'll be staying with him...on my ds-160 form i used at the embassy i filled the school address as where i will be staying and filled the school's official as who will pick me up but my school doesn't have provision for airport pick up so i'll have to find my way. the question i have is that on the I-94 form i will be filling on the plane, should i put the address of the school and the school official's name as where i will stay and who'll pick me up with the school's phone number or i should put my friend's address, name and phone number in that section?...also hope it will not be conflicting info as i dunno if they have prior info on me at the POE....also is it compulsory that i must travel with a travel insurance?....Guys help out |

bypassit: Dear house,i applied for an emergency request and i was denied but initially,i picked 22 of Aug and i clicked the Auto schedule option and a mail came in and i was scheduled for 10th but my school resumes 6th of August so its still late.yeah u can choose to auti reshedule u again...dat was wat i did, go to ur portal and click on cancel appointment ( but dnt cancel it ooo) it will ask u again to confirm cancellation....just scroll down and u'll see an option which says if u want auto reschedule again u shld check the box beside it...check d box and click ok...it'll auto reshedule u wen a space appears...but don't cancel ur 10th appointment oooo...juz do as i told u...all da best...i was auto resheduled after 30 minutes to july 2nd...so pray |
imperiouxx: Wale, can you remember my reply to your question above on that day? I said tell VO it's gonna be your mum inasmuch you only have family written on your I-20 but not the name of your uncle you used to get the admission. This is because your info isn't communicated by your school to the embassy and I'm happy you said your mum in your interview and confirmed my claim and got your VVVV approved without any hassle on that. Cheers friend!yeah imperiouxx boss...i followed ur advice nd it paid off...i owe u some appreciation...we go see for US nah...maybe xmas or somefin |
Allohrandy: OK O.my school is about 30mins drive from your school so i guess we will be seeing each oda regularly in California. i will mail you my name so that you can add me on facebook. i will also be in ikeja on friday for visa pick up so i will also mail u my phone number so that we can meet on friday.CONGRATULATIONYeah, sure guy,.,our schools ain't far from eachother so we'll be seeing, we'll also see on friday, will check ma mail for ur number, the network's kinda bad here...can't wait to leave dis lag sef and go to ib.... |
Ok here is how my interview went, i'm using a phone as u've not returned to ibadan where my laptop is so bear with me is there's any typo? My stats: no GRE, Toefl score 103, graduated with 2.2 (weak one for that matter), virgin passport, never travelled out in ma life, first time ever at any embassy.. I woke up by 4:30am and had my prayer..especially for the interview, my friend saw me off to the bus stop after dressing up, got to d embassy arnd 6am and met some pple there before many pple started coming,..infact some photographers there wanted to scam me as i forgot my passport photographs in ibadan and discovered only after i arrived lagos sunday evening so i had to snap two copies for 700 bucks...i met allordandry at d place with three other guys who were student applicants...we all discussed and den we were called for initial document review at d pavillion...we got inside arnd some minutes past eight o clock and we sat down...i was no 70 while dandry was no 73 or so i guess..so we went to three diff counters...on was to collect our passports and docs and the other was for biometrics...while sitting i studied two vo's and saw dat vo at window 1 asked too much questions and took too long, vo at window 4 was quite fast but granted people visa as if e don dey independence celebration mood already, i was praying to be him but God did otherwise which was better for me...i saw one of the guys with us being denied his visa by vo in window 9, my hrt come dey raise...at last my number 70 showed and it was d dreaded window 1....i say i don enter am today, guys pls confidence and prayer plays d bulk of the roles u have on ur interview date...i got to the counter and dis ensued: me: good morning (fake smile) vo: good morning (faking smile it as well) , pass me ur docs vo: (typing and checking some tins for a while) hummm....so what school are u going to and course? Me: california state university sacramento, mechanical engineering vo: why dis school? Me: this was the school dat offered me admission in the area of my interests amongst d other schools i applied to and owning to d fact that they have good facilities as well as a good research environment but majorly because i was offered admission there... Vo: so what benefits do ur course have in nigeria Me: well...(listed some manufacturing coys in naija) and said with the developing economy of my country need for expertise and professionalism is highly needed, (strong tie no 1) Vo: hummm....so what other schools did u apply to me: london school of commerce uk and d national power training institute of nigeria (strong tie no 2) vo: so did u get admits there also? Me: yes at both schools vo: so why didn't u go to the uk, do they not offer manufacturing there (i'll be majoring in manufacturing) Me: the school in uk offered me masters in information technology and the one here offered me a graduate skills prog in the power sector here nd also manufacturing was what i majored in during my undergraduate studies vo: so what school did u graduate from me: university of ilorin vo: so what have u been doing since u left school me: i went for my nysc and den started working at a civil/mechanical engineeering coy vo: so how much was ur salary, do u have payslips (me wey no dey earn shishi wey still dey hunt for job) me: i wasn't collecting salary as i was there to gain experience pending wen admission into the schls i applied to pulls through. Vo: so what were ur functions at ur work me: was involved in repairs and maintenance of earth moving equipment and generators majorly earth moving equipment and we also consult for other coys by maintaining their machine and moreover the coy is owned by my dad vo: oh...so ur dad will be paying for your tuition and living expenses me: no....my mum vo: ohhhh...ur mum....what does ur mum do me: she's a legal practitioner and property consultant vo: so does ur mum have personal property me: yeah (final smackdown!) and we also have family property vo: (wrote somefin like a small code on my ds-160 and tore d green ticket for me and also gave me the white paper and said ur visa will be ready on friday...bkah blah blah........ Me: thank you note: try to demonstrate while talking, it shows sign of confidence, i wasnpt even asked to show a single document or bank statement or toefl or gre scores...out of d five of us the other three guys and i and allordandhry...we were d only two given visa by d same man, i know some other students were issued but dat's after we left sha' |
