Every president around the world do state visits. I wonder what your problems with his foreign visits could be. |

kkonyeji: Your question would have been "why didn't he choose Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Russia, China, N. Korea, Nigeria & the likes but chose the USA? The band probably chose USA🇺🇸 to meet and satisfy their fans, a promoter must have arranged the concerts and the promoter/investor is often the party to pay the band, take responsibility for their bills in course of the concerts in the USA. So if it is cancelled, the promoter simply keeps their money and look for another music band while the rejected band can also be available for some other business in other countries and use their time and resources elsewhere USA🇺🇸 is not heaven afterall. |

Politics › Re: Why Did Africa's Most Intelligent Tribes Suffer Genocides? by Wallade(m): 8:31am On Jun 28, 2025 |
franchasng: It's unfortunate that the rest of Nigerian tribes refused to be wise and when they say Igbos are the smartest tribe in Nigeria, they get angry yet they refuse to apply common sense and wisdom that will make them to be seen as smart people.
They refuse to wake up and see that it was the British Colonial masters that brought the discord and disunity in Nigeria just as they did in virtually all nations they colonized and all those nations later realized and decided to disintegrate for peace, unity and progress of all involved.
Britain did it between Malaysia and Singapore, until Singapore seceded and Britain took over.
They did it in China but China mainland gave them tough time, they made Honk Kong China people dislike China mainland people until they pushed Hong Kong away.
They did it in India where they put serious enmity between Hindu dominated Indian side and Moslem dominated Pakistan side until India disintegrated into Union of India and Dominion of Pakistan in 1947, which later became India and Pakistan (later Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Bangladesh).
Britain did same in all African countries they colonized. It's kind of their colonial rule leadership style; identify the smartest tribe or ethnicity in any country they colonize, turn other tribes against the tribe they perceived as being too smart to question their authority. That way, you conquer the whole nation because a nation or people that are divided can never agree or stand.
British people are very smart and cunning people, they used that divide and rule tactics to rule the rest of the world
They tried penetrating Russia it didn't work. Tried in USA, succeeded to an extent but their fellow Europeans occupying lands in America resisted them. They did it in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.
Even in Israel Pakistan If you have a problem with the British, please take your challenge or petitions to the UK. Don't drag other tribes in Nigeria into your personal conflict or disgust for the British. We Yorubas and Perhaps the Hausas don't have issues with the British. We don't dwell on the past. The British colonized Nigeria and set us free, willingly. We have moved on and we are hoping and working on becoming better people in future. |

Politics › Re: Why Did Africa's Most Intelligent Tribes Suffer Genocides? by Wallade(m): 8:19am On Jun 28, 2025 |
franchasng: Most of you lack wisdom and sound mind.
Do you know what is called genocide?
Dear Yorubas, please take bitterness away and try to learn, stop basking in ignorance.
The genocide against Igbos has nothing to do with the Nigeria Biafra civil war. The genocide happened before the civil war and it was the genocide that happened to be the imminent cause of the civil war. The genocide led to Ojukwu the then Eastern Region Military Governor to start political argument with Gowon to protect Easterners back then, which landed them in Aburi Ghana were they finally reached some agreements to deescalate the political crises rocking Nigeria and the agreement was for each of the 4 regions of Nigeria back then (Eastern Region, Western Region, Mid-Western Region, Northern Region) to become fully independent.
At Aburi Ghana, Ojukwu and Gowon agreed that each region will be solely in charge of their Police, Military and Resources whereby they remit a certain percentage to the central government headed by Gowon back then. Gowon agreed but on getting back to Lagos, British colonial masters (though they have left Nigeria but were still controlling things from afar) instructed Gowon to reject the Aburi Accord, reason being that the agreement does not favor other regions and the British government's interest in Nigeria, that Gowon must reject the Aburi Accord. They argued that the newly discovered crude oil in old Eastern Nigeria then will be too much for Eastern Nigeria to become too rich if Aburi Accord is implemented and that it doesn't serve the interest of Britain.
Because of this, Gowon delayed the official announcement of the Aburi Accord agreement on return to Lagos claiming he had Malaria infection, Ojukwu kept sending him Telegram to remind him to announce it to the nation, Gowon ignored because he has been instructed to reject it, so Ojukwu went ahead and announced it and Gowon woke up and said Aburi Accord will not stand.
The genocide against Igbos in the North continued unstopped so Ojukwu being the Eastern Region Military Governor summoned stakeholders in the East and asked them the way forward, they said since the Gowon federal government refused to stop the genocide against Igbos, that they want to secede from Nigeria. Ojukwu then advised Igbos all over Nigeria to return back to Eastern Nigeria, and then he declared Eastern Nigeria and independent nation called Biafra. Immediately he did that, Gowon declared a Police action to forcefully return Old Eastern Nigeria back to Nigeria. That was how the war broke out. Ojukwu mobilized all the elite Igbo military officers and commandos led by Col. Banjo a Yoruba man and Ifeajuna to head straight to Lagos the capital of Nigeria to capture Lagos and force Gowon to flee so as to end the war fast.
Google "1966 Northern Pogrom" , that was the genocide the op is talking about. It's not the civil war. When the genocide happened there was no war in Nigeria, only a political crises resulting from coups by Nigerian military (January 1966 coup led by Maj. Kaduna Nzeogwu and the counter coup led by Maj Theophilus Danjuma).
Please take away hatred and bitterness from your heart and learn. Everything no be gragra, na wa oh Yorubas, and I bet other tribes too, don't hate the igbos or reserve bitterness in their hearts against you. The Yorubas should have better things to worry about, especially since livelihood and development in Nigeria is already tasking. Nobody is fixated about your Igbo tribe, you are the ones killing yourself with negative emotions and feelings you habor in your hearts. |

Igbophobia: Argue intelligently since the topic is about intelligence. Even I am awed at the way you guys tell barefaced lies and actually convince yourselves you're telling the truth. So there was no genocide in Rwanda? You sure live in alternate reality.
Anyway, everyone knows that even your government recognizes the Igbo as the most intelligent. Why else would Igbo children be required to score higher than other ethnic groups to gain admission in same schools? Why else do you now rig university admission exams against Igbo states the way you rig elections and census against the Igbo?
All I see in your post is envy and not reason. Why did you attack Igbo and not Tutsi? Envy. If you have no intelligent viewpoint, let those who do contribute why the Igbo and the Tutsi, two of the most intelligent African tribes suffered genocide. No one is envying the Igbo tribe, we don't care what you think, we are just living our lives. If you want to leave Nigeria, please do without stressing us. We are tired of your tantrums. |

naijaking1: Childish attempt to derail discussion without counter argument is immature. Try making points to counter his argument, if you can't maybe you should move on. His position is not childish, it is logical and I quite agree with him. I think the assertion that "certain tribes are most intelligent in Africa" lacks statistical and empirical proves. The topic is flawed ab-initio. |

mrrandomguy: Wallade, read the title of the thread. My advice is for multichoice and not for empty barrels. Typical Nigerians will steal electricity by bypassing meters and still complain about epileptic power. How do you expect businesses to survive when people consume their services for free? So feed your mother first. Remember to add a pinch of salt to her food. I was gonna feed you as well since you assume that I am so poor to the extent that I can't afford to subscribe to DSTV. You are also the one making so much noise on the platform about DSTV rates so much that you are proposing a ridiculous rate that you can't justify or explain how you determined it. So you are the empty barrel. It is okay to be critical of people's opinion here but if you are so pained about me being critical about your opinion then keep your opinion to yourself or share it with DSTV only. |

Reality check is on you: If families and homes can comfortably pay the premium. Bouquet, why are we complaining about DSTV rates? Why did you come up with this topic if most or all families can afford compact bouquet and more expensive bouquets? You obviously don't have kids and dependants living with you, that is the reason you think your pricing estimate is better. You are only responsible for yourself, alone. |

mrrandomguy: Doctor, why should you be watching TV for 8 hours everyday of the month? Don't you have a job? You can ask ifá how I came about the ₦4000/month access fee. You see why I assumed that your opinion is sick. An average home that has functional DS TV is a family, with wife and kids and helps or workers or family members. The husband and wife may go to work but kids will watch the dstv when they come home from school. When they are on holiday, they will probably watch all day. You can't really control that or prevent them. You are thinking like a bachelor who lives alone with no dependant and doesn't stay at home regularly. When making rate suggestion, you should be holistic. |

Every decision you have been making, is it not meeting brick wall whenever they get to INEC? Whatever correspondence the party or INEC share with each other, on respect of internal politics, is for information and concurrence with their statutes, memorandum and article of association or constitution. |

Access fee: ₦4000/month to cover fixed costs.
Pay per view: ₦248/hour for live sport broadcast ₦167/hour for repeat sport broadcast ₦116/hour for live non-sport broadcast ₦43/hour for other programmes You are even more sick than DS TV. Did you think before you wrote this? Assuming each home do an average of 8hrs for other programs per day: That will be - 43 x 8 x 30 = ₦10,320 Add that to your suggestions of ₦4,000 flat monthly charge = ₦14,320 By the time you add the bill for life programs and others, would one not pass that current charge for compact bouquet (₦19, 000). Mercisharelove: Never get upset when you hear about your partner‘s past.what matters is now.
You are together now. This is what counts. Now that he‘s met you. Never let his/her past repeat again.
Help them build a better now which translate into future. Hallelujah. Everyone has a past however ugly or beautiful. A potential partner or spouse just has to prepare his or her mind for a repeat of the past and be hopeful that the ugly ones are not repeated. The past has a strong potential of being repeated over time, it may just be who he or she is truly. No one is perfect, so look at the shortcomings and decide if you can tolerate or live with it, if he or she doesn't changed. If not, walk away and don't deal but if you think you can live with those shortcomings and they are less compared to his or her strengths and good attributes - that is your man or women right there with you. |
