None of his stories are good, or straightforward. No history, no certificate, no good legacy and no promise of ever ending well.

You are saying Peter Obi will not do these.... and will do that..... as if you are Peter Obi.

What if he changes, change is the most constant in life.

You need to prove that Peter was paid all his dues from funds diverted to the company of Jude and his wife.

You must prove that Peter consented to the divertion of the funds of PSquare into Jude and his wife's account.

You must prove that Jude and his wife establishment of that company and divertion of the funds of PSquare into the account of that company was not an illegality, fraudulent diversion of funds, theft and criminal.

It is more important for the defense attorney to prove those to the judge than the less significant matter of School he attended and graduated from. Moreover, during cross examination, he indicted that he didn't say he graduated from University of Abuja; that he only attended the university.

Those claims and documents presented by the defense attorney are subject to investigation.

The defense attorney didn't serve those documents on the prosecution to enable them prepare a defense on those claims or documents. It was deliberate and that was why the judge insisted that such documents should be served on the the prosecution legal counsel.

Many people here don't know that the lawyer is trying to show the judge that the plaintiff is not credible. If he lied about his education, who knows what else he lied about? I am not saying the fraud did not happen but a judge relies on testimonies and evidences. That is why you see that symbol of justice is a blindfolded lady with a scale in one hand and a sword in the other hand. Lady justice does not witness the event. She only hears from those involved, weighs your version against your opponents version and delivers justice with the sword. Once a judge begins to see you as a liar, then you are not a credible witness.

Even if the lawyer is able to discredit the witness, the hard facts(documented evidence, bank account transactions) and confession of Jude are very significant to his conviction..

Jude already confessed.

The company he registered to divert the funds has been proven to be owned by Jude and his wife.

There are little or no evidence that Peter got any share from the funds diverted.

There is no document, hard copy, that shows that Peter consented to the divertion of funds.

Jude is criminally indicted here. In fact, his wife can also be indicted during questioning but she can only save herself by claiming to be unaware of the activities of the company as she held the shares in proxy for her husband. She would have to claim her husband runs the company fully and absolutely, without her input.

On examination days, a lot of factors affect students and these factors influence their performance in the examination positively or negatively.

That is the reason we parents and schools are also encouraged to prepare the students psychologically for the exams, calm them down and ensure that they are not overwhelmed, scared or destabilized in course of the preparation and exercise.

No, that man is an epitome of performance. The system is not perfect and now, we have seen the weakness of the CBT Examination system.

We must not jettison the CBT examination system but we must prepare for better administration of the CBT examination system going forward to mitigate against the possible challenges.

Opportunity must continually be given to students whom the CBT examination system malfunction impede to automatically qualify for a resit within the examination window.

There should be no refund but an opportunity to retake the examination for those students who were affected by the glitch or malfunction.

I respect Prof. Oloyede for taking, on behalf of JAMB, responsibility for the failure of JAMB to ensure seamless CBT examination system.

Put yourself in the shoes of the teachers and the FCT Minister.

I don't know how many months they have not been paid their salaries and we all know the economy of the nation irrespective of geographical location.


Let's say the Minister initiates a court case .
How many months do you think it will take to come to a conclusion, assuming the Minister follows through and we don't have to hear that he has bribed any judge to get favourable judgment from the Nigerians who hate him !!!

Let's say the Area Council Chairmen all follows through and takes their case to the Supreme Court. How many months or years would it take before the teachers would finally receive their entitlements?

Whichever way you wanna spin this discussion, you must recognize that there is no substitute for legal and corporate resolution. Every other solution, including withholding 10% allocation to the Area Councils, that are illegal and unconventional are unacceptable.

The current local government chairmen in Abuja - FCT will be out of office soon, this year. They will lose the case in court and with the sustained strike in place, they, or the new chairmen, will bow to the pressure eventually.

If I am in the shoes of the teachers, we will sustain the strike since it is out last resort.

In the shoes of the FCT Minister, I will continue to consult the Teachers Association and the group of Chairmen on the need to promptly and regularly pay the salaries of LG staff, minimum wage. The FCT minister can also consult with the new Chairmen once they get elected into office to ensure the outstanding bills on the Area Councils are paid promptly.

However, it is one of the possible legal options open to the FCT Minister in the effort to compel the area council chairmen to pay the teachers salary.

Even if you are so fanatical about Wike or any politician or you are on the payroll of any politician, common sense should guide your contributions on social media or in any platform where you have to communicate your position because people would assess you on the basis of your contributions and determine if you are sensible or otherwise.

Again, I emphasize that Wike's decision to Withhold 10% of funds due to the Area Councils is illegal and it must be communicated to him clearly.

You should not cut off the head because you want to cure headache for someone. Whatever is illegal is simply illegal and every attempt to justify illegality must be rebuffed.

Now, that FCT Minister wants to withhold the 10%, how does Wike intend to pay the Teachers? Does FCT Ministry have their payroll? Can FCT ministry debit accounts of teachers in Abuja and credit whatever account they put the 10%?

Withholding it is to put pressure on the Chairmen to pay the salaries (minimum wage), FCT ministry can't directly effect the payment legally.

If the FCT minister so much cares, it is only the court that can order an aggregate of the salary of Teachers and or Staff of the area councils and freeze it in the account of the area councils monthly and subsequently decide to pay the sum to the teachers upon a court order.

Please feel free to share with us, the loop hole in the law, that you said Wike is exploring to withhold the 10% allocation.

While the LGAC allocation is yet to be fully implemented as the various State Governors have somewhat not allowed the chairmen to open the account with the CBN that will allow the CBN pay directly into it.

Now, the 10% funds that the FCT Minister says he will withhold is the statutory funds which arises from the FCT IGR(Internally Generated
Revenue) so that the committee he will set up will from that fund pay directly all the teachers affected by the non payment of salaries by the Area Council Chairmen.
So, it's within the powers of the Minister to do what he says he would do from that perspective.

I only just pity the Area Council Chairmen. All of them underperforming will not be re-elected if they ever return again.

I don't think it is within the rights of the FCT minister to pay bills of the Area Councils for the payroll of teachers.

That bill is statutory payment under Area Councils (Local Government).

However, I can't completely fault Wike for toing this line of withholding 10% of fund due to Area Councils in Abuja.

Funds due to Area Councils should be remitted to Area councils not spent on their behalf.
