Fujiyama:I am simply and objectively looking at the issues as she presented it: Natasha created a drama with Tantrums and shouting incident against the Senate President, she used derogatory and disrespectful statements, and she behaved in an unruly and disruptive manner on that day. She was removed from the house. Then she was refer to a disciplinary committee and she came up with accusation on Arise TV today that the man has been suppressing her, targeted her and hinder her because he was flirting and trying to harass her sexually by flirting with her in December 2023 and February recently. I listened to her events description and I found some holes in her story: She never disclosed these flirtatious moves to anyone, her husband even asked her a couple of times but she didn't open up, according to her. It was nothing to her then, according to her, but it suddenly became something after she exhibited such unruly and disruptive and disrespectful behavior on that day. It became something when her matter was referred to disciplinary committee. She could have reported the incident to the disciplinary committee of the Senate when she alleged that Apabio flirted and sexually harassed her again in his office in February. But she didn't and only had to make those allegations on Arise TV. I think she set out to blackmail the Senate President, despise him and put the Senate at disrepute. The Senate is bigger than the both of them and never have we seen this kind of allegations from a senator to a Senate President. Is this behavior expected of a senator? Is she the only female senator there that the Senate President wants to knack her pekus? Is there no better, matured, civilized and official way to handle sexual harassment that she could have engaged instead of this shameful drama, unruly and disruptive behavior she has exhibited? Sequel to this allegations at Arise TV now, the Senate President should also face a disciplinary committee to investigate the allegations. I hope she has enough evidence against him and she is free to sue him to court for Sexual harassment too. Now, how does that sound like I am pitching my tent with the Senate President? How does that mean I am not objective or being sentimental like you guys? Even if it is eventually established that she was sexually harassed by the Senate President, does that justify the behavior she exhibited on that day? We should excuse that behavior on the floor of the Senate because she has been sexually harassed in the past, before that day, that no one was aware about? Can you listen to yourself? She can't fool me |
God1000:I don't know what Donald Trump thinks he is? |
Nemere2020:What if these children are supposed to do exams or mid term tests etc? What kind of nonsense is this? |
Fujiyama:Quote what I said, if you don't understand me, so I can explain. |
Nemere2020:Is this the nonsense you want us to tolerate down South West? |
Ojuntana:I am not a wild pig like you. I am a sane and civilized human being, unlike you. |
bluebay:May it be unto you as you wish me. We shall see how you will handle it too. My wife respects herself, her carriage and dressing does not invite such flirtatious moves so I don'think any of her bosses will ordinarily try that with her. However, in case it happens, I expect her to confide in me otherwise, I would strongly believe she was gonna play the game, if I find out later. |
Ojuntana:You should be with the Kasongo folks too - bush pigs - roaming the wild and dirty mud. |
Michelle70:O think it is strong but if there are evidences that negates it, then it can be nullified |
Ojuntana:Smart Rabbit, how are you doing there? Did you call me Agbado dunce? I wish you the same. Idiot! |
Ojuntana:Did I say Apabio has no case to answer. You are senseless |
Zulu11zulu:Here we go again |
Owologbo:You that have sense, demand for the call logs now. Is it too much for you to demand? In fact, since you were there all night when he was calling her, just present yourself as a witness to it naaaaa. Idiot, na my position dey pain you abi? Don't worry, u never see anything. Since you just woke up, quickly find some snippet to drink if my statement dey pain you too much and you just can't take it. You will be the next person Natasha will accuse of sexual harassment. |
TheDemola:She spoke well, I am impressed. |
Xisnin:My brother, you know lawyers can interpret all kinds of things, na for court they can establish threat or otherwise. That is the reason I assumed that she was probably right to allege threat. Natasha matter tire me abeg! |
efemena5050:Idiot, you are still talking. Shey you said you want to do me something. I expect you to have carried out your threat instead of just talking thrash. Is it not obvious that your parents either did a poor job raising you or you suddenly unlearned the proper training and chose to be wayward. Who is unfortunate between you and I? Your parents wasted their effort to make you responsible, cultured, mannered and respectful but you turned out to be a shame and despicable being. So much that you can't even come through with your threats. You should thank your stars that you are on a faceless platform like nairaland. Chest beater; Idiot. Anuofia! |
efemena5050:What do you have to offer? See this unfortunate soul, you want to do something - what can you do - idiot. Did anyone stop you from being stupid or foolish? It is only our responsibility to point uour stupidity to you and hope that you stop. It is up to you to stop being stupid |
efemena5050:Let me add that you are not well trained, your parents either did a terrible job at raising you or you became wayward due to environmental influence. You are a pevert, damaged and uncultured kid in adult body, unfortunately it is too late to re-mould you. If I not living, would I respond to you in the first place. People like you are just passing through life, life didn't train or mould you. That is why you are such a waste and an idiot! |
loffyloffy:I have always known that they are oftentimes unprofessional in Arise TV |
professorPABX:What beauty? Is that character Beautiful? |
DemonSlayer:The presenters on that Arise TV station are actually rude and unprofessional several times. |
efemena5050:You are the foolish and senseless one here |
CreativeOrbit:Mr Fake-Doctor, kindly take your medications too before advising or recommending drugs to me. |
MrDoGood:Really, that fits your description. Maybe you should look into yourself for the dump and stupid man. Ignoramus! |
Xisnin:Obviously, you didn't watch the video, it is attached to the article so play it and listen. Senator Ireti doesn't sound like someone scheming, she was put on the spot by Natasha that she knew about the sexual harassment and senator Ireti just defended herself by baring it all. Why would you be insulting and calling her terrible names because she told her story as she knows it? Why wouldn't Senators hang out and spend time with each other privately? Why can't they be personal friends? There is no rule against that. If you listen to Ireti, you would hear her saying the four (female) senators are quite close. She even mentioned herself severally visiting Natasha at home, at an instance she was even offered food and they dined together. She also mentioned another female senator visited Natasha at an occasion, she even said she was speaking for all the female senator so that should inform you that everything she said to Arise TV, the other female senators already discussed and agreed about it. So please don't misinform us on nairaland and stop insulting Senator Ireti for telling her side of the story. |
neutralmind:How sensitive? Can you explain? |
Xisnin:She had to speak because she is a woman like Natasha. There are about four women in the Senate like she said. If other male senators speak about it, the Nigerians supporting Natasha would say they want her pekus too. In fact, most men in the Senate will now be avoiding the female senators before they will make allegations of sexual harassment against them |
Fiscus105:You want to lecture a Senator about the rules of her house? your last statement just shows that you are mentally unbalanced. You see how stupid you are |
liver123:Wait for the consequences, you will soon see it. In your life, know this and take it, whether you like it or not: For every action that you take, there will be consequences: You are only responsibile when you take responsibility for your actions and face te consequences. That Senate is not entirely a lawless place, they have rules and where there are rules, there are punishments when you break the rules. That is sacrosanct., whether you like it or not. |
janeedema:Did anyone say it should be swept under the carpet? There are civilized ways to take up such matter and you are expected to nip it in the bud early, not when you have become unruly and disruptive in the Senate and you are now throwing that card that he has been flirting with you. Why did she not inform her husband when it first happened, allegedly? The husband had to ask her twice, on the way home and even in bed, according to her and she kept insisting that Apabio didn't say anything to her. Why did she not report to the police and write the Senate President through her law firm to warn him to desist from flirting with her? That would have been an evidence of the flirtations trail today. Why didn't she officially report the Senate President to the ethics Committee of the Senate on that day she went to his office and he made that statement? See, we are no fools. She can't take me for a ride with her shenanigans. |
CreativeOrbit:You mean to have me fooled and sentimental like you? If my opinion is moronic then that would make you unintelligent and it indicates you should probably not be on nairaland. In case you don't know, every one is entitled to their opinion on nairaland, however offended you are about it. I guess that is too complicated for you to comprehend, idiot. |
gbigbega:You can put your own coloration to my statement, I don't care. Call me a woman denegrator or whatever, I honestly don't care. I can't respect a woman who has chosen not to respect herself, a senator at that. A senator that wouldn't even keep her unruly, disrespectful and disruptive behavior to her house, she had to bring that behavior to the Senate. That is who you want me to respect? There are civil manners to handle sexual abuse or harassment from any man, including the Senate President, but not to drag the Senate in mud and embarrass the Senate because you want to allege that you have been harassed. Is the harassment her reason for the disrespectful, unruly, disruptive and unbecoming behavior she exhibited in the Senate on that day? You want me to excuse that behavior because of respect for her? You think I am being paid by PDP, APC or LP or whatever party? Is this about party to you? Who cares about your party in the Senate? Are all of the senators and representatives not acting the same way in the various houses that I will call someone saints and some devils? The LP senators and representatives that promised to be different before election are there doing the same things and behaving the same way in terms of embezzlement, corruption and treatment to Nigerians and here, you think I am loyal to a party or one of the politicians. The Senate is not a place for radicalism, unruly acts or disruption. There are several approach to achieve your desires in the house without being unruly and disruptive or giving in to sexual harassment. She has to face the consequences of her unruly, disrespectful and disruptive behavior in the Senate, if it is suspension, so be it. I will not respect Natasha as long as she continues to be disruptive, unruly, uncivilized and lack decorum. |

Is there more to it?
It should be swept under carpet because it is a non-issue, right? Ladies who have turned down flirtatious men can easily understand her plight. Often, it comes with hostility from them. Maybe bruised ego.
