Thank you for your response. My friend is just scared of going back to the embassy to rectify/update the SEVIS number on her visa. She no wan hear long story. Any advice on that? Must she go to the embassy to update the SEVIS number on her visa to the new one or can she travel with it like that

It is possible to get interview date, go and pay your visa fee and other fee needed

I think you should speak with your school official.
My school sent mine through UPS free of charge and sent me the tracking number, got it in 3days. Though I was asked if I'll prefer a friend or relative to pick it up for me.

good day house ..I just found out I made a mistake on my DS form after the submission.,I wrote science on the educational section instead of academic or vocational. Can i edit it before the interview or should i leave it like that ?

It's all about your choice and editing can only be done by filling a new ds160, if at all you haven't submit the one you filled before.

After everything make sure you go to your appointment page and update it to the new ds160 you fill by using the feedback option at the left corner on the site and print a new appointment confirmation because if not and the ds160 code is different from the one on appointment you will be send back.

It's not possible and if you need help on this, you go to seme border and make the payment or someone in US help you get it done.

Hello Justwise and others,

I have a question for my friend please. She applied to a University for Fall 2017, the admission was given, I-20 sent and SEVIS number issued but she wasn't able to meet up with the school's admission date although she has already gotten visa. The University advised she reapplies for Spring term which she has done already. But now, they are issuing a new I-20 with a new SEVIS number different from the one on her visa.

Can she travel to USA with the visa that bears the old SEVIS number or she has to go back to the embassy to rectify it?

Tell the person to go back online and view his sevis payment status and the click on transfer the sevis payment receipt to the new sevis ID to avoid touching stories.

He's planning going again for december. Hes married now and also he has been saying he didnt have anyone in the USA but now he has found one of his relative that lives in USA. can he put married now in his application? can he also state that he has a relative in USA? is the school a red flag at the embassy? This sounds like opening what he was hiding before.

As for me he just got married and have relative in US that he didn't mentioned or filled in his first application.

Anyway is 50/50 although some reponse sounds like making up or cover up.
