Where you came from and where you are going are encoded in your DNA regardless of how completely you have been brainwashed. We should encourage progressive young Nigerians to go into politics and make effort to vote out the old brigade of politicians, who don't mean we'll for the nation in the next election, to be able to do this, we have to protect our votes from the polling centers to the collation centers. These young politicians would have their first assignment as the strengthening of our institutions such as the judiciary, the code of conduct bureau etc from there we can make a head way.i know it will not be easy but it is possible. If this does not work because of election rigging or the like, the next option would be a revolution, and don't doubt it may happen 2015. |

25omega: you calling the girl stu-pid is not helping either. This is exactly what i was talking about where people will take someones outrage about valid issues and turn it around as if she is the problem. Irregardless of how immature she may have come off you still have to admit that the problems she mentioned are real. You and I know that those thick skinned looters in positions of authority in this country will not take these kind of videos seriously, that is ,if they even care to watch them. The arab revolution started through the social media but the propagators mobilised people by extolling the greatness of their nation and calling for the confrontation of the bad leaders who are mismanaging their common wealth in so doing they got a lot of buy-in, not by bashing their homeland as a God-for-saking place. Fhemmmy:Please spare me the explanation of raising awareness, it is obvious we have problems. 1 Like |

justwise:The point is, if she has given up on Nigeria, there is no point complaining about the problems that have been there before she was born. I would rather applaud people doing something to change the situation, who are confronting bad governance, who are creating jobs in any little way. The girl with her infantile mannerism is not what Nigeria needs, changing her accent and bragging about the compliment she receives smack of inferiority complex, the likes of Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, were in the US before she was born and rose to the apex of international organisations without changing their accent why should that be a priority to any bright and secure individual. 1 Like |

This stewpid girl should just sit her stinking arse wherever she is, Nigeria does not even need people like her. what is her motive for posting the video? since she made it clear she does not have any interest in Nigeria any longer. And all of you that are applauding her, yes we know the problems but in what way are you helping Nigeria? What I see is just a delude immature girl revelling in the euphoria that she is now imbibing the culture of a society she sees as Eldorado, if this not inferiority complex, i wonder what it is. 1 Like |

Career / Re: Are Technicians Better Than Engineers In Nigeria? by WaltherPPK: 7:05am On Jan 10, 2013 |
Chuksgeo: @ OP U R very correct, this is why a lot of engineering structures in Nigeria dont last, thus U see buildings falling here and there, machines breaking breaking down not so long after purchased or installed and a lot of poor proffessional maitainance strategy. Engineers are naturally creative thus younger engineers ought to have coupled their creativity with mordern technology but in Nigeria the reverse is the case because the older Engineers fear loosing their job to them thus their weldare is opposed,U can imagine ENGINEERS TEACHING DURING NYSC. . .Please stop exposing your ignorance.NYSC members are not engineers but graduates of engineering. |
Career / Re: Are Technicians Better Than Engineers In Nigeria? by WaltherPPK: 5:44pm On Jan 09, 2013 |
Unless you are mistaking engineers for technicians.I hear this kind of question often from laymen and don't blame them because they don't understand that what they are expecting the engineer to do for them is actually the job of a technician, when you tell them that the job of an engineer is basically DESIGN, that confuses them the more because you can only understand what is meant by engineering design if you have carried out one before, and that is why COREN will only certify you an engineer when it has been verified that you understand engineering principles by carrying out a design and can defend your design philosophy, these are things a technician cannot fanthom. |

Chai, people can be so gullible that is why some idiots can come out to a public forumn like this to defend the semi-illitrate fraudster of a governor.I am from Imo State, infact I came back from my village today and nothing is going on in Imo State in terms of infrastructural development. The big mouth is only good in propaganda and showmanship and I wonder why Imo state that prides itself as home of intellectuals will have such a buffoon for a governor. |
