(just try to b real and smile) umm i was looking for a good university in the us that offers information technology with a full concentration in cybersecurity. so after an intense online research i came up with a list of 10 schools and i later shortlisted it to 6 and then applied to 3 of dem and dis schools include (name d sch). they might ask about d online research site...jus say i catalogued with usnewsdotcom, collegeboard. bla blabla

2. wellll as an aspiring information technologist, i have always plan to solve problems dealing with the IT sector in my country. many companies and financial institutions are loosing money due to cyberinsecurity. and solutions are always sought for from experts abroad.this experts carry home lots of money after especially in thousands of dollars. so a degree from this university will equip me with the required skills and expertise to be able so solve the one of the bigest IT problems in this country. also , my input as a trained expert in the IT field will be valuable since nigeria is still growing in the IT field.

3. out of the 3 schools i applied to....ekpoma university ;Dgave me a first hand correspondence with response to their application..i am also in constant communication with profesor bla bla(chk dia website n mention one profesor name abegi dem no go kn) (pls dnt tell lagnivv i said so )and im interested in his current research in cybersecurity since its suits the problem im gona be solving in my country.

I get your point. Many candidates get into Harvard already armed with scholarship. Very few seek internal funding. More so, the STEM courses have more funding opportunities! This boy we refer to is going for one of the STEM courses most probably Engineering. He was begged to apply!

I am a lecturer, I have medium scale GRE coaching centre. I have mentored good students into ivy leagues. They all went with scholarships.

If I am faced with taking 100k loans for Harvard, I will take it up. Harvard may not mean much in US. It does anyway! But you are distinct graduate in Nigeria. Imperiouxx wife knows this is true except she is a US citizen. I tell you, u can have huge return for value if u did go to harvard.

Let's clarify this: US citizens first choice of college funding is federal loan. For this, other choices somehow elude them. Whether they go to ivy league or Valparaiso, they are still burden with education loan for years to come. Funding situation is somewhat different for foreigners. Anyone with admission should never chicken out.

i'm a student doing my msc in the US,,.i have a long tine friend(Nigerian) in turkey who called me recently and ask me to help him receive money wiith western union from a friend in the uk .. but i told him that turkey has western union and why is it dat your friend cant send the money to you directly?. He said his friend does some business and he could only receive money in the US so the US contact have to resend the money to turkey.

i told him i smel scam but e said not to worry that its kool that som1 was receiving for him before but dat pesin has gone back to naija...

but i decided to ask my felow nairalnders what you think because i dont want anything that wud hinder my name in dis strange country.

Two different things. H1B is an ordinary visa, 1 level above other non immigrant visas while permanent residency is residence status that confirms you as an immigrant legally permitted to live as long as possible in US provided that you dont violate any rules. Both are renewable but PR after few years is convertible to citizenship while H1B will first have to file and apply for PR.
