The bank won't even try that..Even if the sponsor is your biological father, they wont..its either you wait for the person to be back next Wednesday OR if its urgent, Tell the person to get the statement for you at any branch of his/her bank and scan it to you which you'l forward to the school(if your school requires the scan copy of SOA).

I went to the embassy for interview for a student visa. All my documents were intact except for my bank statement which had a letter incorrectly misspelt (stg like Adewale instead of Adewole) who was supposed to be my sponsor/uncle.
My experience at the Abuja embassy:
Oyinbo: so ure going to Saint Joseph university in Philadelphia usa?
Me: yeah
Oyinbo: how did you find out abt d schl
Me: was looking for schools that offered the course online when u stumbled on the school alongside other schools of which this seemed the most suitable.
Oyinbo: whos sponsoring you
Me: my uncle
Oyinbo: can I see his bank statement?
Me: yes please(hands it over)
Oyinbo: (looks intently then asks) your uncle...is he your blood relative?
Me: yes sir
Oyinbo: types ...looks at statement ...hands it over and says hes sorry he can't grant me the visa.

Now my qstn. Did I answer any of the questions wrongly or was it just the bank statement error? and I need advice on better comportment and composure cos I intend applying again with a corrected bank statement cos shool resumes august.

Have you submitted your financial statement & letter?..If yes, just chilax for them to prepare it...They said 3weeks probably because they have so many Intl students they wanna prepare an i20 for OR they have prepared yours and sent it through regular mail..You know this i20 must be done carefully without misinterpretation of words & data....just be patient...

BTW, why don't you tell them to scan and send to you so that you can get your SEVIS # known for payment before it arrive

I'm asking because my school sed I shud allow 3weeks to receive my i20..don't know If it's normal for oda schools

Please let's try to encourage people seeking schools with less stressful applications by giving Dem name of such schools if we do have n also by encouraging Dem to take standardized tests.

Bro try Valparaiso university.. A reputable sch. DE accept scanned unofficial transcript but if given admission u must ask Ur school to send d original to dem. No gre. Though u must do it to get funding n for embassy sake.

Applications fee is also waived n payable upon arrival. Though d fees is high sha. Arround 22kdols .

I am going for masters in information technology n just
got accepted.I also did gre so try n do 1 standardized test.

make i no lie i girraffe some answers from one guy wen near me o....den i 1 oda guy wen de opposite sef ..i cross check some answers too from am.(jus 2 balance d equation ).even 1 girl sef wen de my right..i spy like 2 answers from her quant.(wetin?? , na crime to spy from gal abi na my papa found gre )...abi na dat 2 answers wen i spy 9 even make me get 144 for quant sef ..who knows..because i supose get reach 150..me sef i sure say dem spy from me so maybe i was jus returning d favour

one advantage of d paper exam is dat u can toss between sections to answer dos unanswered questions..u can even complete ur awa section sef when its even 10mins to round up...
