I can say with every sense of responsibility that the so called protest is politically motivated and it is aimed at bringing down the govt of President Jonathan. I've watched and listened to various speeches by the so called activist and some are even saying this is the opportunity for them to bring down the govt, some are praying for the president's death and this evening Ayo Opadokun was busy inciting the populace to go out and overthrow the govt that he doesn't believe anything good would come out of Gej's administration. I've wondered why the protest against the fuel subsidy removal (which is a step towards true federalism and fight against corruption) is loudest in the far north and SW. the most annoying aspect of this senseless strike is that only the common man on the street is paying the price as the so called organised labor have nothing to lose. At the end of the day, they would collect their full pay but the common was not allowed to go about his normal business all in the name of a senseless strike

alja-rem, thanks for coming outta of the closet i know it has never been about the laudable fuel subsidy removal but about power. Now to debunk your lies, when did the north as a whole ever contributed any meaningful thing to the development of this lopsided country. You guys were never ready for independence (freedom) from the imperialist. Even with the competition amongst the regions then, how far did you people go? you guys are always scared of change. Why is the so called protest not for full resource control? why is it not for an SNC that would lay a new foundation for the nation and determine the kind of govt that would spur competition amongst the various geo political zones? You all agree that the country is being ripped off and in dire need of infrastructural development but yet, you are not ready to sacrifice the crumbs being thrown at you. I've come to realize that the so called protests have some political undertones as most of you can't still bear the fact that GEJ, a minority is in power and wants to change the status quo through his transformation agenda.
