Finally! I have been posted to Enugu campus.

Those already in Enugu , is registration done on saturdays and sundays? or is it only during lecture days?

I'm in Enugu, I did my reg on saturday but I don't knw if they still do it on saturday, its hwever advisable u arrive on a working day, so as to be certain.

Last year in Bayero University Kano, as the head of a literary club, I organized a campaign against drug abuse and trafficking in partnership wit the NDLEA, unfortunately we didn't get enough support from our intended sponsors, its a social travesty, its so rampant, one cannot even imagine how widespread it is. Earlier this year in my hostel, everyday I use d toilet, I find several bottles of codeine dropped there by addicts. The most painful part is the beautiful and innocent looking ladies who indulge in this act, all in the name of getting high. As harmless as the drug seems, it has ruined d lives of many youths and is on the verge of ruining even more, if an emergency attention is not taken to nip d situation in d bud.

This should be a lesson to ignorant ones who are quick to shout 'freedom of expression'. The freedom of expression as contemplated by the 1999 CFRN does not accord anybody the right to slander another, such freedom expression must be exercised bearing in mind the rights of other individuals in the society. In the unlikely event of this guy escaping punishment for his slanderous actions, he would av learnt his bitter lesson, albeit painfully.
