Have you witnessed a dog being killed before for food? Growing up, my dog eating neighbour would chain his dog and machete it to death. The chilling cries of the dog alone would break your heart.

I feel before the adventure of the white man into Africa society. We had a more balanced society. Our parents had a way of passing a message through simple acts like killing chickens that would teach a child the value and circle of life and death for instance. It's not by hiding these things that make kids or society better.

Now, this is funny. You had a balanced society, but encouraged the killing of twins, practiced cannibalism, forced widows to drink water used for bathing their dead husbands, used humans as sacrifice...et al. If that is what you call a balanced society, then balanced must have a new meaning I don't know of.

You believe a sick mind can be triggered by the slightest trauma, but not by watching an animal being slaughtered? Do you know how traumatic some people get watching animals being slaughtered. Plus blood, holds a cultural and spiritual power.

I know people who will never kill the animals they raised for food because of their empathy towards them. So, slaughtering of animals for food may be a simple act to you, but not for others.
