Please Gurus in the house, I kept seeing NSE application. Can anyone inform me about this NSE stuff? What's it about? Doesn't it mean prospective students cannot apply through CIC website again?

Thanks

Otherwise, if your study requires you to work like coop, you can answer yes.
Thaiy:

A quick one in the questionnaire of the study permit ''Is work an essential part of your study permit?''

Is the response yes for everybody, or just for people with Co-op?

This kind of reasons is becoming generic and common especially from Nrobi. Am still yet to understand how 5 to 6 applications will have same reasons of refusal similar to the reason you posted. Same with@ Ibuchim

No. It's called dual intent. They are independent of each other. In addition, you are just in the pool not that you have been invited to apply? Just go ahead with your SP application.

But you need to tell the reason why you are deferring the admission. Because you still have time enough to apply for visa since is 2020 Fall term

The gurus in house, please how do I deffer admission from (Usask) what are the steps to be taken. I just received the offer yesterday for sept 2020 but want to deffer to Jan 2021.

No offense taken sir. Your question is vaguely structured. Please be detailed about your admission process if you need advice.

1. You mentioned the duration will be 4 years , meaning it can either be UG or PhD? Which one?2. Let's say it UG, what are you applying for? What course? Is the course related to your business?

Because if it is UG, be ready to pay nothing less than $15,000cad every academic year depending on the school. I will stop here to hear back from you. Please be detailed enough for others to contribute.

Thanks

@Frankrobbn and to all the bosses in the house.

Good evening,
I've read alot on this platform about the traveling process, but I feel a little bit confused.

My question is this!
I just started my processing, applied to Brandon University already which I've received their response and submitted all the requested documents. So hoping to get feedback and the school admission.

1. When the admission comes out, what are the steps to take and what documents am I to provide?

2. I've a business a registered business with a business account, do you think it's advisable to use my company account or seek for someone's else's details to be on safer side, since the program will last for 4yeard (maybe they might be thinking how would the business continue when I'm there)..

Pls I'll be very glad to get a well detailed advise.

God bless you all..
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by wealth360: 8:20pm On Mar 07, 2020
Your question to me is incomplete. $16000cad sometimes is not enough depending on your tuition fees(TF). Living expenses for a year is $10kcad so add that to your TF + other things.

I will advice you not to use any SOA that is older than 30days. If you print it now let's say 9/03/2020, make sure you submit your application before 9th of April 2020.

Sowp is dependent on your study permit, since you have graduated I will advice you leave his application there. And apply for PGWP sharply, so that once you get that his application will depend on that. But make sure you get a job in NOC A,B or 0 so they dont turn you guys down. My spouse Sowp took 10months +, so do not worry, just go ahead and apply for your PGWP first.

Hello gurus in the house I need your advice, please. I applied for my husband to join me through SOWP since 26th February online route and have not heard anything from them. We got married in January and sent his application immediately I came back to Canada, but the issue here is that I graduated last month and need to apply for my post-graduate work permit as my student work permit will be expiring in November 2019. I didn't know it takes this long to process SWOP. I am so confused on how to go about it if I should write to them asking why the application is delaying or withdraw the application and apply for my post-graduate work permit?

I will emphatically tell you two things, thoughLondon office faced alot of backlogs and dur to that your application was delayed beyond expectations. The main reason I see here is because as at the time of review, your Studypermit is less than 6 months to go, so that was the reason to me. Bros extend your SP if need be and apply again please.

The MP'S office have been on this file since December 2018.

My CIC account was not updated(still got no update on your account mail today), only my daughter's was. I would suggest she pick up your daughter's own if she doesn't mind going twice and just keep tracking hers. She can also hold her slip and submit along with your daughter's own and if its not ready, she'll get her slip back, no harm in trying.
P.S. She will need a copy of her I.D card to pick up your daughter's passport.

Hello Everyone. I came back here to encourage someone especially May/June/July 2018 applicants. I'm of the opinion that all these applicants should have patient with the London Visa Office provided your application is confirmed to be treated there.

My reasons; I also submitted SOWP and TRV application for my wife and daughter respectively on the 15th of May, 2018 precisely. Because I'm here in Canada, I was able to use 2 MP's office to make enquiries for our application after 7 months of no update nor replies from CIC both in Lagos and London. Applied for 2 GCMS note in October and December last year and no updates of any sort on the note except many emails and enquiries sent to them.

Our Findings: London Visa office is overwhelmed with so much applications especially from Nigerian, because as @ 2018 Jan - July thereabout, most of the online route application were all transmitted to London office, coupled with PR applications, study permits, visitor visa and many other things angry Dont be surprise, This was the information given to us after 9 months in Feb 2019. Many applications from last year are still on queue for eligibility review either primary or secondary review.

My Message: Last week after 10 months of waiting, we got PPr for my wife and Daughter. a friend also got SP approved after 10 months. so, TRV hopeful as the name sound so you should be. please if London have not updated you, I bet you it will be approval. if they are gonna deny you, it will have happened before now.

Just to encourage you guys from last year MAY/JUNE/JULY 2018.

A big thanks to Frankrobbn1. God bless you bro.

Just make sure the principal applicant has enough fund to show in his or her SOA for the total number of family. My understanding is that VO do not consider the host SOA as primary instead it is the applicant account they look into very well. Reason: divorce rate is high among the white guys, so they seldom generalize it that in a case where the host shows all the Funds and the applicant is granted visa, on getting to Canada,
The host either divorce or have an issue with the spouse that just came, so what happens? The newly visitor to Canada will become an economic liability to the government. So it is advisable to keep most of the funds in the applicant's account. Google LICO Canada.

Cheers
coolsammie:

GCMS notes: focused on my wife financial status and personal asset. that what we had is not enough total of $17,000 cad. She had $7000 in her account and mine was $10,000 cad. The said amount was calculated with what is on IRCC website that:
Host: $10,000
2nd person : $4,000
if any 3rd: $3000 as living expense. But this is for PR application because for SOWP, there is no set proof of fund.

Result from gcms: Visa officer use what is called LICO (Low Income Cut-off) measure to make his or her judgement. It was written there that for a family of 3, $37,000

Story to Glory indeed! Congratulations to you & family.

Can you enlighten more on LICO against the CIC $17,000 CAD for the principal applicant, 1st & 2nd dependants?

Just balance statement. RBC CIBC gives . Stamp and signed. You can also request for a letter of introduction from the bank address to Immigration.
They know what to do.

Hi bro, did you print just account profile that shows balance or you ordered for account balance confirmation letter?

His programme is till 2020 ooo. Immigration lawyer at his school said its possibly an error and I should come in and apply for extension. Although the MP office said my daughter's visa is till 2020. I'm even dreading that POE experience, don't know what to expect.

about vfs, I also paid, was told its for her passport transmission as she didnt do biometrics so she has to pay or something. Her passport is not ready for collection though mine was ready 4 days after submission. I paid for sms too but nothing yet from them.
Travel / Re: Canada Spouse Open Work Permit (sowp)timeline by wealth360: 1:40am On Mar 08, 2019
Ask your spouse. Something is expiring soon. Or try and talk to them at POE.

I also want to ask you, after paying online for applications, my wife was ask to extra 14k at vfs for visa processing for my 2years old daughter, please is this right?

bigmove:

No, expiry is October, 2022 oooo

Then your own passport expires soon if am correct.

Thank you.
That would have been a good reason for such but his study permit is till June 2020.
