Bab5: Hello guys....check my account yesterday and noticed some changes in IRCC web, most especially the date I read the messages sent into my account (it showing read on may 14) I hope this is not a problem. And am I the only one with this changes.
My application is 2month counting now(9weeks to be precise)....no updates except biometrics completed and background checking in progress.
I also noticed the processing time has changed to 14weeks now..... No cause for alarm. Its system upgrade that changed it. If you remember the processing time as at when you applied, then if your application has exceeded that time then you can send them a message on application update through their CSE form |

uyplus: Hi, My review eligibility status has changed to "we are reviewing". This is the 6th week since I submitted my application and the visa processing time at the time of submission was estimated at 7weeks. Will I be expecting a response from them soon? I applied 27th of April. I did upfront medicals too. I am a Pharmacist and got admitted for a masters in public health at the University of Western Ontario (a top school in Canada). What is the review eligibility process about? Hope for the best soon. |

uyplus: Hi, this is the 5th week since I applied for my study permit! As at the time that I put in my application, the estimated processing time as stated in CIC site was 7weeks! I submitted via the paper route and even did my biometrics same day but it still hasn't been updated as completed. Eligibility review hasn't even commenced. The only thing that was updated on my page about 2weeks ago was my upfront medical report, which shows "passed medicals"! Is this slow normal? I submitted my application on the 27th of April, and my estimated time for a response is 15th June. I got admitted for a one year Masters of Public health at University of Western Ontario which is a highly ranked school in Canada and I am a Pharmacist.
Note: My school resumes 2nd September! calm down. When you apply through paper route. Biometric remain that way they don't update it. Everyone should note that except online app , biometric will be updated to completed. So there is no cause for alarm OK. As for your application please give it some little time again. OK. |

I had the notion that approvals comes fast once you pass the medicals.
I was called to do medicals btw calm down latest Friday u should get it. Congrats |

babzy90: I just checked one of the places i worked previously and its not on the CAC website. And I listed it as part of my employment history. Is that a problem? You guys should stop bothering yourself about nothing. Different VO with different ways of tackling application is the cause of all this. The way VO A will handle application X is different from the way VO B will handle application Y. Everyone application has different case. Please my people don't get too bothered about this CAC stuff cos it won't apply to all application. |

bbclue: If your dad company is in operation then he must have been paying tax at federal level....asked him there must be a consultant he his working with.....or he his doing it by himself.......if a consultant is filing for him you would know....and when the consultant is submitting his audited financial statements or unaudited financial statement or statement of affairs to revelant authorised such as firs....3 copies will be printed....to firs....they will give him his own stamp copy...remaining 2copis with them..the other copy will be forwarded to CAC ..
Well CAC has started closing business names that are not remitting annual due or doing filing.....all do notices are giving before any action are taken......I work with an Auditing firm ....tax department to be precise. ....I know a little but I don't know all....
Even that one thousand for annual filing is for the first year of registration of business and continue every year before July 1st after July 1st if you didn't pay the one thousand nairaland it is assumed you made late payment and it will increased to 3500 for the year you didn't pay the 1000...
Oga wealth360 I greet oooo I greet you pass. How every nah? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by wealth360: 6:56am On May 29, 2018 |
bbclue: That is since the business was registered he didn't pay for yearly filing or file annual return to show the name is still in operation
The yearly filing is 1000 that is of your business has not commenced .....or you choose the annual filing by consulting with and Accounting firm to prepared statement of affairs I don't believe this. My dear I can't remembered the last time my dad said he pays annual dues or this yearly filling u are talking about but his company is still registered and still there. |

Jewel80: My dad has not been filing documents with them since he registered in 1997. Guess they have wiped out such people. Now it feels like i am back to square 1. I was just about to submit my application then i decided to check here for comments and i saw kemdy's, i rushed to search for my dad's too.
Please what if i submit his updated tax clearance and leave out the cac outdated registration, i feel is beta to not submit what I cannot proof anymore. Are there applicants that get approved with tax clearance and no business registration? Cos i think people can pay personal income tax without being registered with cac ryt? There are many people who doing trade that earn good money without being registered under cac, moreso, he has paid my full tuition and sent in living expenses. Please advice me, i want to get this right..thanks All registered business names are on CAC website. Just type the name of the company. Eg. ABC not ABC Nigeria limited it will appear. My father's business name since 1984 is till there |

I am really worried hmmmm Question Is it possible for application to be refused despite Medical passed and NO need of additional requiremens? Again if it is paper application your husbby did, u can't call CIC on his behalf. Let him call Lagos office himself. Please don't call them again just leave it for husbby |

Snappyfingaz: Documents Submitted
All forms involved: * Application for work permit made outside of Canada * Schedule 1 (Application for temporary residence IMM5257B)*** * Family information Form * Digital Photo * Passport biopage * Proof of relationship (we submitted our marriage certificate and just a few of our wedding photos) * Letter of explanation (we promptly noted here that she's currently out of work and that her financial responsibilities would lay on me and my mum in law) * Three of my most recent pay stubs plus a six months statement of account from my mum in law * My employment letter * Letter from my employer confirming i still work with them and stating my intent of bringing my wife to Canada * A copy of her resume/cv * Copy of news paper publication to prove her change of name after marriage
***Schedule 1 - Application for temporary residence IMM5257B
In my opinion that is the right form to fill out for work permit applications. The form I've seen most people fill is IMM5257E - Application for Visitor Visa (Temporary Resident Visa), take note of the names.
In IMM5257B you aren't so many questions as how long you're staying, how much you are bringing and etc. All thats asked outside your personal information is previous travel, if you've had affiliation with the military, government positions and if you've witness desecration of religious buildings. On IMM5257E, you're asked your purpose of visit, length of stay, name and relationship of who you are visiting, your education and work history and of course your background information.
So, in my honest opinion I think visitors visa form comes with too many information and might take a little longer since they have too many things to carry out a back check on but yes, people who fill that out do also get approved. Congratulations bro. Wanna ask you is this her first application? |

Austinpee4: Individuals who have legal status in Canada aside PR or a Canadian Citizen CAN request for the GCMS file. The law allows this. See the screenshot attached. God bless you bro. Didn't see this earlier I would not have dropped that message |

jnyuwa02: It's clearly stated that under the freedom of information act, you have to be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada to request for someone's record. These are the kind of things that come back and bite you in the rear end. It's like voting . Only citizens can vote. If you go out to vote claiming you are a citizen, nobody will stop you. But after a while you come to apply for PR or citizenship and it's found in your record that you circumvented the laws by illegally circumventing the rules of something, that is grounds for clear denial. Better warn those people. Guy u can misled people oooo. Who told you if you are not a citizen or PR you can't apply for GCMS? Please confirm before you drop anything here. To those who are concerned please it is legal for anyone who reside in Canada to help apply for GCMS @$5. Thanks |
