And it says I didn't meet criteria which I tot I did. I calculated my CRS score to be 444 and I started building the profile last year November while waiting for the ECA report from ICES and wen I got it today I completed the study part of the profile building and did all and submitted until I saw am not eligible. Please what can I do? Can I create another profile? Becos I am sure am eligible. Please advice.

Hi guys

Earlier in the thread I informed the house that my wife's application was refused citing authenticity of the marriage- no pictures etc which was due to VFS not accepting pictures with paper applications. I requested the GCMS notes and the first VO stated that the applicant qualifies for work permit. The last officer to check access the application refused citing the reason above. With the information from the GCMS notes i decided to reapply attaching as much pictures(someone suggested printing the pictures in an A4 paper) On the day of submission, the vfs officer refused to accept the pictures again until my wife caused a scene showing them a copy of the gcms notes where it clearly stated that the previous application was refused due to lack of evidence of the marriage. Eventually, they made her sign a waiver and accepted the pictures from her. To my utter dismay, exactly one month, the application was refused and this time the VO stated that she needed to show strong finances showing she will be able to take care of herself in Canada. Quite shocking. So i reapplied again, this time online and clearly stating and copying where the CIC website that states that for an open work permit, the spouse should present a valid work permit , with validity for at least 6 months- current letter of employment stating responsibilities and the job must be in Noc A O C and 3 recent pay slips. I carefully explained in my letter of explanation that i will be responsible for her upkeep and have attached my bank statement.

List of documents

my work permit
letter of employment stating how much i earn and my duties and NOC
3 recent pay slips
rental lease agreement
bank statement
wedding and throwback pictures
her passport data page
my passport and valid visa page
police clearance cert
Notice of tax assessment for 2016
wife's travel history south african visa page

Applied online NOv 24, got an update yesterday requesting for passport and on mycic it shows application approved. Note medicals havent been done which is quite a surprise but anyways thats the good news.
This one is handiwork of God. I want to clarify something do you have children ?

Good day house! Compliments to everyone here. Can anyone please assist me as I am currently confused. I am about applying for a student visa and the thing is i would want to go with my family (wife and 2 year old). I heard applying together with my family might jeopardize my chances and I should apply alone first and then for them. My confusion is, after getting mine, what kind of Visa would be granted for my family? I would not want visiting visa for them because I want them with me all through my study period. Most people I spoke to said they would qualify for visiting and they need to return after a short time. Can someone help explain this visa ish for family not jeopardizing my chance and that of my family.
If you go first then your wife will apply for an open work permit. Sometimes it called spousal open work permit and as for your child he or she will apply for just TRV if he or she is above 4-5years then they will apply for study permit.

Hello gurus in the house. I am preparing my application little by little. I am about to send my transcripts for wes evaluation. However, the reason I want to have it assessed by wes is so that I won't have to always go request for transcript transmission from my school in Nigeria for subsequent studies.

Therefore, I'd like to know; is wes evaluation accepted for admission (in place of original transcripts) in all US and Canadian schools? And then, will wes always send my transcripts (the evaluated one) to any school/organization whenever I request them to? Will it be at a cost or for free?

Cc: Maziude, Austinpee4, canadiannurse , et Al
Is it required in the school you are applying too for transcript evaluation? If yes go ahead. If no you don't need then except you are doing it for PR sake again.

Thanks Shola. its been a while

Hello Everyone, been a while!

I felt this information will be vital for those planning to apply.

Got the info from a reliable source that cic gives open work permit for 5yrs if your passport duration is up to 5yrs, but could not share the info here cos I was not sure, until I applied for my open work permit renewal 3wks ago, and my application was approved this morning with 5yrs validity, expires same day as my Int'l passport.

If you are yet to apply, kindly renew your passport before applying, so the validity can be to the end of your passport, and the advantage is when your spouse finishes his/her studies, and apply for post graduate work permit (post graduate work permit will be given to her, and visitor's visa inside Canada will be given to you) you can still be working with your permit, until he or she get a job in NOC 0,A or B, and you can apply for a new open work permit, if you guys have not gotten PR already.

Also, for those already approved, and are in Canada or about coming, on your correspondence letter, cic said you should get a private health insurance, you dont have to buy a private health insurance, as you can get a health card if you are in Ontario or will be coming to Ontario from Service Ontario by getting a letter from your employer with the details below; and take the letter to Service Ontario,
-that the employee is working full time
-the Title/Occupation of the position
-that the employee will be working for the company within Ontario
-the start date of the employment
-that the employer intends to employ the employee for a minimum of 6months.

I wish everyone still waiting for cic approval and those planning to apply all the best.

You guys should be patient with cic, i really understand what it takes to be apart with your spouse.

When you come here, you will see that the wait worth it (You will become a millionaire in naira few months ).

Did you simply omit the question or you checked no in the column where it asked whether you have ever been denied a visa before? If you omitted the question entirely you might have a chance. Just explain in your next application that you didn't see the question. But if you answered no when your answer should have been yes, I am afraid we have a serious problem there. There is nothing you can tell them now that they will believe you. It's like the kid who shouted fire on his house when there was no fire. When they real fire came, nobody showed up. But you can try. If you do, apply with a masters as your GPA is good enough. Keep the same course as this shows progression in your learning or work experience. Make google your best friend. TRU, MUN, UNBC are some easier places among many places that accept second class upper in Canada. There are some universities in Germany where instruction Is in English and there is nothing wrong with learning a new language if it comes down to it. It's a good way to improve the part of your brain responsible for memory thereby preventing Alzheimers in old age. Best of luck!
how far brother ? Any update

Paper route is better than online route. Why..
1.application fee and biometric fee is cheaper compare to that of the online route.
2. You can submit alot of documents as many as you want.
3. During submission, your visa application documents will be preview at VAC office before submission.
4. The visa application documents is assigned to the VO at Accra, Ghana for processing immediately is dispatch at VAC office but in online route, it can be assigned and processed at different embassy across the world.
