A young lady has taken to social media to expose the new trick of one-chance robbers after she was robbed and s3xually molested by some men in Abuja.
The lady, Faustina Dirissu, who goes by the name Pretty Choice on social media, said her neighbour sent her a vacancy notice about an ushering job and she contacted the advertiser to indicate interest.
She said she was told the event would last four days and she would be paid N10,000 per day.
Choice said she was interviewed on WhatsApp and was told she qualified and was to make herself available for the bus that would convey her and the others to the venue of the event.
By the time she got to the pickup point on the appointed date, she was told that the bus had passed and she had to find her way to another location where someone would pick her up.
When the person picked her up, Choice said she was alarmed that he was driving for too long and she asked him what was happening.
She said the man explained that he planned to take the back gate of the estate.
Soon after that, the man reportedly produced a gun and asked the lady to follow him into the bush where she was stripped naked, molested and robbed of all the money on her.
Choice said they asked her to call people to send her money and she could only think of a friend who also sent N30,000. The money was transferred to an Opay account with the name: Abdullahi Opeyemi Ajibade.
The thieves collected her two phones and later returned one, saying they did not want iPhones.
According to her, when the robbers were done with her, they asked her to look for her clothes flung into the bush to dress up as she was completely naked.
While searching for her clothes, she said she discovered that there were many female dresses in the bush apparently left by past victims of the robbers and she had to settle for a pair of jeans and a top that were not her own, as she found it difficult to locate hers.
Choice said she decided to make the video to prevent others from falling into the same trap and appealed to fellow ladies to be extra suspicious of job offers even from friends and neighbours.
Esther125: The Central Bank of Nigeria,CBN, has put precautionary measures in place against future attacks on commercial banks in Benue State.
The development followed the attack on some banks in Otukpo town, Benue State, by armed robbers on Friday, October 20, 2023.
The CBN took the measures at an emergency meeting with the management of the affected banks in Makurdi, Benue State capital.
In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the CBN, among other decisions, directed that “all banks and her branches across the state with immediate effect [sic] commence her business operations from 8am-2pm, Monday to Friday till January 30, 2024, when a review of the security situation will be carried out at the Bankers Committee for amendment accordingly”.
The communiqué further stated that the Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) support be increased to two hundred thousand naira (N200,000.00) for Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) while CBN is increased to five hundred thousand naira (N500,000.00).
“Each bank is mandated to make its payment on or before October 27, 2023,” the communique directed.

Micee, a friend of the deceased, claimed in an interview with Very Dark Man that Omawunmi was a lesbian who was having an affair with the late singer’s female manager.
He even claimed Mohbad was aware of the affair since he had videos of them in the act that his manager boldly shared to him.
Micee also stated that his wife and others are attempting to conceal information, and he refused to mention names out of fear.

buzmanjohn: The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, on Tuesday, said the military was prepared for the off-cycle elections in Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa states.
Musa warned that any act of violence would not be condoned before, during, and after the elections.
The PUNCH reports that elections in the three states have been marred by violence in the past.
The Independent National Electoral Commission fixed the governorship elections in the three states for Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Speaking at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja during the maiden visit of the Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, Musa stressed that the military would stop at nothing to ensure the polls in the three states are devoid of violence.
He said, “We are also prepared for the coming elections in the three states of Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa states. I want to ensure that the elections go on democratically, without any fear or intimidation.
“We don’t want any violence. I want to appeal to all stakeholders that it does nobody any good if anybody is killed because we have to go and vote. So it is important that we all put hands on deck. We will make sure that the elections are free and they are peaceful so that the results can also bring out what people want. ”
Musa also said the Federal Government has allocated special funds for the treatment of soldiers wounded at the various theatres of operations across the federation.
He added that this was to boost the morale of troops on the frontline.
Musa said, “President, we want to say thank you for the improved funding for the armed forces. We know the situation on the ground that the armed forces are doing the best they can, but we are limited due to the dearth of funding.
“Also, there are special funds for medical. What we realise is the morale of our troops. They see how the injured are treated. If they’re not treated well, they will never want to be committed. But we are happy to see how they are doing and we are happy that more have been promised and more will be done. ”
Musa, however, assured the president that despite the wave of military coups in West Africa, the military would protect the nation’s democracy.
He said, “We want to assure President and to you all Sir, that the Armed Forces of Nigeria is fully committed to democracy. We will do whatever it takes to ensure that we protect our nascent democracy and for it to thrive and to also extend same to the sub-region because we know we have the capacity and we are happy.”
He then urged the minister to sign the harmonised terms and conditions of service.
