Almiron: Authorities in Kenya have detained Brian Mwenda, a fake lawyer who has won 26 cases while posing as an Advocate of the high court of Kenya.
Before his arrest, the attorney handled 26 cases before High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court of Appeal Judges, all of which he won, Kenyan entertainment news website Mpasho reported.
Due to false pretenses, the Law Society of Kenya Nairobi Branch Rapid Action Team (RAT) detained him.
When the RAT received complaints from the general population, he was captured.
He does not have a license to practice law in Kenya, according to LSK Nairobi Branch on their X account, and neither does he claim to be an advocate.
The notification stated, in part, that “the man has been presenting and conducting himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of LSK Nairobi Branch,” which had come to the knowledge of the LSK Nairobi Branch through the Rapid Action Team (RAT).
He is being detained in the RAT’s main office while an investigation is ongoing.

Nigerian music producer and artiste, Samklef, has publicly berated afrobeats superstar, Davido, whom he accused of blocking him on social media over leaking the now viral video of his newborn twins.
LEADERSHIP had earlier reported that a video showing Davido, his wife and the newborn twins leaving a United States hospital circulated online on Friday.
Davido slammed Samklef for allegedly sharing the video public on Instagram, describing the music executive as a “clouth chaser” among other uncomplimentary words.
Although Samklef, who clarified that he saw the video on X (formerly known as Twitter) and posted same, later told fans that he and “Davido are kool”. However, hours later, he made a video expressing displeasure for what he called “disrespect” from Davido.
A visibly angry Samklef said: “I have never posted anything negative about you Davido, but today Davido, you allowed your emotion, you came to my timeline to disrespect me.
“First and foremost, me and you no be mates, you met me in this industry, we are not mates. If you are Davido, you are Davido for yourself. We are celebrating for your good news. The Nigerian singer, who had a similar issue in Tanzania last year, said that despite the fact that his agent signed a contract with a clause of “no money, no performance” with the client, he traveled to perform without getting paid.Kizz Daniel disclosed this in a statement shared on his Instagram page, adding that the organizers of the show made excuses for “bank transfer delays.” He, however, said that without receiving his performance fee when he arrived in the West African country, his team was attacked backstage, which made him stop.

NCBLOG: Edo Catholic priest dies of hypertension 22 months after regaining freedom from kidnappers
A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Peter Ebhota Udo, has reportedly died of hypertension 22 months after he regained freedom from kidnappers in Edo State, Reports.
Recall that Rev. Udo, the parish priest of St. Patrick's Catholic Church Uromi in Esan North East Local Government Area of the state was kidnapped alongside Rev. Fr. Philemon Oboh of St. Joseph retreat centre, Ugboha, in July 2022.
The Priests were rescued unhurt by security operatives on July 6, 2022.
A Catholic Priest, Fr. Kay, who confirmed the sad news in a Facebook post on Friday, October 13, 2023, said Rev Udo survived two kidnappings.
“Dear Rev Fr Peter Udo, the Priest of Impossible Cases, I can't believe you're no more. Life is a mystery. Just yesterday, you wished me happy birthday as I sat typing my morning reflection,” he wrote.
"I had previously wondered why you couldn't make it to my birthday celebration. Unknown to us, you were already struggling with pains. But it is well. You were a man of peace. A joy giver, a light in the dark, and a priest who poured out his entire life for others. An Iroko tree has fallen! But God knows best. You survived two kidnappings, only to be felled by blood pressure? You'll be sorely missed. We love you, but God loves you more. Keep resting in the Bosom of the Lord, till we meet to part no more! Earth's loss is heaven's gain. Udoooooo! Pray for us who are still here. At your Requiem Mass yesterday, men and women of the CONCLAVE WEPT. In fact, Jesus wept too!
