Father-of-one allegedly stabbed to death by his side chick after he invited her to his house while his wife was away

Police operatives in Ogun State have arrested a young lady, identified simply as Alice, for allegedly stabbing her married lover, Ayinde Isreal, to death in Itori Ewekoro area of the state.

It was gathered that Isreal’s wife travelled with their one-year-old child for the Ileya celebration and he took advantage of their absence to invite his side chick home.

However, they got into an argument and she allegedly stabbed him to death with a knife on Tuesday evening, June 27.

According to a source, “The guy is a married man and his wife went to his family’s house to celebrate Ileya and he brought his side chick to his matrimonial home the same day his wife left.

He and the side chick had issues and the girl stabbed him on his neck. We took him to two hospitals before he gave up.

The girl is currently at Ifo police station, here in Ogun state.”

The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on behalf of the entire officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, commiserates with family, friends and loved ones on the sudden demise of retired Commissioner of Police, CP David Ajibola Akinremi, a distinguished and highly respected member of our law enforcement community, whose death occurred on Sunday 25th June, 2023.

In a statement signed by CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer,Force Headquarters and made available to news men, late CP David Akinremi, was appointed as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1986. He served with unwavering dedication and made significant contributions to the safety and security of our country.

The statement added that his commitment to upholding the rule of law, protecting the rights of citizens, and maintaining peace within our communities was exemplary.

During his time, according to Muyiwa, he was a former Commissioner of Police in charge of Taraba State, Head of the IGP X–Squad, and Deputy Force Secretary at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. Until his demise, he was the Commander of the State Security Network Agency (Amotekun), appointed by the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.



While commiserating with the family, government, and good people of Ogun State, the Ag. Inspector-General of Police reiterated that the Force understands the magnitude of the loss and urge them to take solace in the Lord as death is what every soul will taste; and they should always count on the support from the wider police family during this dnifficult period
