WebmastersRe: Favicon (request) by WebHostingPal: 6:58pm On Jul 08, 2014
Vicotex: i don't need favicon that is generated from logo, take a look at http://xfteam.info , i just wan't that typa favicon
Oh yeah, I've seen it, if you want the same look and feel, not a problem. You will get the .PSD file of the favicon as well and you can use it for any other purpose. The PSD is the raw file, you can always convert it to an image file that can be used with your social network.

The .PSD will come in 100px X 100px and the favicon will be 64px X 64px, 48px X 48px, 32px X 32px and 16px X 16px.

We have an intern that is working with us, so if you are interested, send me your proposal and how much you are willing to pay for the work.

You have free alternatives on the Internet, but they are not unique.
WebmastersRe: [HELP] How To Space My Ads Displayed On My Sidebar by WebHostingPal: 6:06pm On Jul 08, 2014
Ok, on your site now, but I can't see any ad to look at. At least create ad place holders, two on each side. This will give me a picture of what you are talking about and hopefully replicate your concern

The attached image to your original post looks fine to me. If what you are trying to do is to expand the spaces between the ad blocks, I'm guessing you will be able to edit your css.

Still here.

WebmastersRe: Please Help: Online Shop For Export Product(s) by WebHostingPal: 5:53pm On Jul 07, 2014
agonbello: Hello fellows.

We are currently working on developing a "certain"product we plan to export to Europe and America.

The plan is to build an e-commerce website (online shop), customers make order and pay online, and we ship the products to them via air freight. Kindly assist me in answering the following questions:

1. Can we receive payments online like escrow, so as to make customers feel secure? If yes how do we go about it?

2. What is the average cost (per Kg) of shipping products to the said destination?

3. Which is better? Shipping the products ourselves or outsourcing the job to delivery companies like Dhl, etc.

Thank you in anticipation of you inputs.
Hello, Paypal is a good starting point because it collect payments on your behalf and at the same time the buyer can request a refund via paypal where you failed to deliver the goods.

Building an ecommerce website, is easier than adding the actual products into the inventory, especially if you have a large list of products. Also your ability to manage the store online and offline, it's not a one person's job.

Average cost per KG varies, you have DHL, UPS and others, you would need to contact these companies, tell them exactly what you want to do and they will give you their best quotes. I believe you will get discounts based on the numbers of orders you process through them. You will find out that this is another area you need to watch closely.

You may find shipping the product yourself a bit tedious, unless you have a great workforce, then you would need to think about the shipping costs, again this is a very important are.

As I wrote above, you would need to contact all the available shipping companies to weigh your options.

And finally, there is what we call drop-shipping, this only applies if you are ordering your products from the original manufacturer. In this case you would be able to order the products from the manufacturer and instruct them to deliver it to your customer. Most manufacturers abroad are happy to do this, because it doesn't cost them more than shipping the item to you anyway. And at the same time, you don't have to pay additional fee for the drop-shipping.

The grey-area of drop-shipping is returns, where the customer is not happy with the item or received a defected products. If the item is heavy, this becomes a problem for your customer to return due to the amount it will cost. This shouldn't be a problem if it's a light-weight item we are talking about.

Hope this helps smiley

WebmastersSteps To Create Your Own Successful Website, No Design Or Programing Required by WebHostingPal(op): 3:11pm On Jul 06, 2014
Hi, I'm' Sammie from HostNigeria

Today I will like to briefly discuss the Steps You Need to Create Your Own Successful Website, No Design or Programming Required

Domain Name Registration and Website Hosting

1 - Think deeply about what you want your website to be about - try not to be jack of all trade
2 - Think of a domain name that best describe what your website is about
3 - Order your domain name
4 - Search for a reputable web hosting company - For features, ease of use and convenience, I will suggest a web host that offers access to cPanel
5 - Subscribe to a quality web hosting service provider
6 - Login into your domain registration account and update your name servers to the ones provided to you by your web host
7 - Take a breather and wait, give between 24 and 48 hours for your domain to properly propagate
8 - After your domain propagates, you are ready to roll.

Creating the Actual Website Via cPanel

9 - Login into your web hosting cPanel account
10 - Head to QuickInstall or Fantastico De Luxe in your cPanel
11 - To your left would be a list of pre-installed software you can click to install on your web hosting account
12 - Select the best software that you believe is suitable for your web projects and click to install - Installation is automatic
13 - Once the installation is completed, you can follow the onscreen instruction on how to login as the admin staff
14 - Now login into the admin area of your site and start managing. Create unique contents and avoid copying other people contents.
15 - It is really important that you learn more about the software you have installed on your server - So head to the creator's website for tips and add-ons
16 - It's early days, so don't worry if you don't have visitors, this will not happen immediately. Concentrate on working on your site for at lease 6 months

Promoting Your Website

17 - Register with a minimum of 10 community forums, make use of their introduction pages, avoid communities full of spammers
18 - Submit your site to Google, Bing and Yahoo - They are the most popular search engines
19 - List your website to 10 quality directories
20 - Sign up with Facebook and create a Facebook Page
21 - Signup with Twitter and link your Twitter account with your Facebook's
22 - Exchange links with at least 10 other websites with similar interest to yours
23 - Visit blogs and make meaningful contributions, making sure that you make reference link back to your website
24 - Avoid spamming other people's websites - Stick to this routine for at lease 6 months.

And there you go, you have it, the most basic way of owning a quality website that the search engines love. If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask me. I will respond as soon as I'm free.

Best of Luck.

WebmastersRe: My Website Is Under Attack!! by WebHostingPal: 2:05pm On Jul 05, 2014
cbrass: As I am typing this post to my website is being attacked from a place in Japan, what these sily guy(s) are/is doing is to eat my bandwidth, they keep posting rubbish into the comment box I attached to each post, they found their way into my database, even though I have changed my cpanel pass but this is still going on. Have mailed my host, but I just want to see what I can do before they do something
You can block the perpetrators IP addresses. To take things further, you can block the entire Japan IP addresses using dot htaccess.

Blocking the entire IP addresses of a country will block potential visitors to your website from the country.

There are other ways as well, but the choice is yours.

Hope this helps.

WebmastersRe: Help! On Building A Forum Site by WebHostingPal: 2:59pm On Jul 04, 2014
kabarka: hello webmasters,

i will appreciate a kind of guide on how to get a forum site in place.
ofcourse,i need it for my kind of biz.
You can read through my thread "pure water biz(Discuss)",so that you see what we
have done over the years. And possibly see what the features of the site could be.

How is domain name secured?
Is it possible i have my input in deriving the domain name?
How are the site features(button) developed?
Who are the moderators.
Are they full time workers or part time?

what of web hosting?
and the likes.

NB:The forum site is meant to engage people interested in the water biz.

Please he who can, should give me a plan or procedure and if there is anything like proposal
it should be sent to watercruise10@gmail.com

Having said that,i will need another website(for a different kind of biz) not forum but a kind of an information gathering site.
The site performs a simple task.
E.g 1, A buyer make a request of his need,drop his info.
2, A seller submits what he has for sell.
3, The buyer and seller are not to meet.
Hi, most popular forum software can be easily installed via your web hosting cpanel, provided you have one.

If not, it's better to purchase a web hosting plan that comes with bundle of ready to install scripts that will help you get started with your projects.

Checkout this video presentation http://vimeo.com/97567879 on our web hosting company.

Hope this helps.
