Pennywise2:I hope you're not sick? So, because you want to advertise your shitty stuff, you came up with the lie that I abandoned the thread? |
VinnyBaba:Arteta defence-minded? Have you been watching Arsenal matches with your TV upside down? Arteta aims for possession football, just so you know. |
Tjra:So, that of CNN and BBC is unbiased? Don't be deceived, there are no neutral media outfits anywhere! |
chidi2pus:He wrote "banks", not CBN. They are not the same. |
CaveAdullam:So, banks now print money at will? I wonder why you people feel free to embarrass yourself in an attempt to appear enlightened. |
SavageMaster:Yes, you can. |
Iamhumble:There's nothing spectacular about it. Simply open another gmail account using another browser or incognito mode. That's the only thing I do. Adn I've not had issues with Adsense in the past over multiple accounts. Although, this would be my 3rd or 4th account in 10 years. So, it could be because I didn't overdo it. |
Nigerians can be funny. Always looking for unofficial shortcuts to everything. Instead of using the official phone line, they request the personal number of the customer support staff and start disturbing those ones when they have any slight issue. The customer support staff is meant to attend to your issues within the banking hall. If you have any issues outside the banking hall or outside work hours, call the dedicated line for customer enquiries. Nigerians and their shitty sense of entitlement. |
NotProphet:You go explain tire!! |
Blake755:The same PSV beat Arsenal 2-0 last season, when Arsenal was also in impressive form. So, if you want to hate, hate with sense! |
N330,000,000!!! Oomo! That's huge! |
Luvinghubby:Rigging, my brother, rigging! |
jmoore:Stop embarrassing yourself by attacking what you know nothing about. The NMA is not responsible for licensing or regulating hospitals. Every state's ministry of health has a department that handles that. As for licensing doctors, that's the role of the MDCN. NMA is just the recognized body of practicing medical doctors. Their job isn't to roam around the country trying to catch quacks. They have a database of all doctors practising in the country, but how are they to know those who are practising without license? If anyone is to blame here, it's the mainly the Plateau state ministry of health who allowed that hospital to run for that long and didn't scrutinize the doctor's credentials along the line. |
tosyne2much:Oga, if you can't read between the lines, kindly swerve! My point is, if Nigerians don't find a word offensive, why demonize the word when talking to Nigerians just because you want to massage Western ego? The same people who won't stop referring to PHCN as NEPA are quick to dance to the tunes of the West when it comes to political correctness on word usage. My point? If a better understood word isn't offensive to a Nigerian, use it! That's my opinion, and you don't have to agree. |
RosyIsBlessed:Calm down, dumbo, and learn to read between the lines. The point I'm trying to drive home is, "Your audience determines what's offensive and what's not." We are not in the West. If Nigerians do not find a word offensive and even relate to it better, use it! That's effective communication. If you still can't comprehend that, I'm sorry, I can't help you. Just steer clear of quoting me again. |
Sleekfingers:Your change doesn't have to be my change. We both don't have to change in the same way, as we aren't wired similarly. You gerrit? |
Sleekfingers:You don't use "modern" English without sense. In communication, there's location-based context. Which means you choose words based on how they're widely understood in your locale. Some words that are absolutely fine in the UK might be offensive in Australia. Some words that are offensive in the UK might be better understood here in Nigeria. And when you talk to Nigerians, use what they understand. Go and face a Nigerian audience and start calling them "people of color". Then tell me how majority would react. We don't have to be zombies! Even in modern dictionaries, there are some words that are officially regarded as "NIGERIAN English". |
Sleekfingers:Check the dictionary for "crippled" and come back to tell us what makes it offensive. Don't bring that "politically correct" sickness of the West to Nigeria. They came up with the words. We used them innocently in our everyday communication. All of a sudden, they declared the words offensive, trying to play with our brains. Words like "fat", "homosexual", "black-skinned", etc suddenly became offensive to them. And they replaced with "plus-sized", "people of color", etc. This is Nigeria, where we mean what we say without intending to make anyone feel bad. Those Westerners with unstable brains should leave us out of their madness. And you don't have to join them. But the choice is yours. |
CodeTemplar:Overseen by the ministry of solid minerals. |
The NPF is quite dumb. This is a paintball marker. What this means is that those who use drills shaped like guns should beware of the NPF. Those dumbos could actually mistake those drills for guns! |
NSNO:Agreed, but they still have more extensive road networks and better rural penetration with tarred roads than in the South. Is that due to soil and weather too? When it comes to infrastructure and people-friendliness, norther governors have consistently proven to be far better over the years. How many times has a northern governor delayed the payment of their workers' salaries within the last 10 years or even more. Most states in the South don't have a flawless record in that regard. |
Whiteangel1234:Stop embarrassing yourself. Gabon is not in West Africa and is therefore not an ECOWAS member! |
I'm a seasoned blogger and writer with over 7 years experience building and flipping niche blogs. I can handle your gig and send you backlinks from my sites. And this should be complete in 2 weeks max. However, you'll need to up your offer. Let me know if you're interested in discussing more on this. |
BetterHeadline:Stop embarrassing yourself. Jesus is 'Isa in Arabic. Even the name on that mosque has the Arabic translation written right beside it. If transliterated using English letters, it reads, "Masjidu Maryam Ummu Isa", which translates directly into English as "The Mosque of Mary, the Mother of Jesus". Ask anyone who can read the Arabic text to confirm. Notice how Isa was translated to Jesus and Maryam was translated as Mary? In the context of English language, Muslims use the English rendition of the name (Jesus). And that's how the name is even written in English translations of the Qur'an. "Isa" is merely a transliteration of the Arabic name using English alphabets. So, your last paragraph is absolute bullshit. The Mary (Maryam) who gave birth to Jesus (Isa) is the same across the whole of religious history. Don't change narratives to suit your whims. The variations in the names are just due to language differences. |
bhella10:Exactly. |
ReacherSaidNoth:Stop wasting your time replying fans who behave like illiterates. The coach understands why he takes his decisions, especially since most of them are usually based on what happens behind the scenes (training, dressing room, etc.). But some "I too know" fans won't just keep quiet and leave him to do what he's being paid for. It's easy to criticize others when you're not in their shoes but those "agbero-like" fans know nothing. |
accordadoga24:No, Mary Slessor had no business with Yorubaland. Her activities were confined within Cross River State. |
johnpaulnedu:Great! Add the relevant static pages (About, Contact, Privacy Policy, etc.) and apply for Adsense. |
Autobot05:The exchange rate isn't an index of a country's financial standing. As of today, 1 USD equals 1,756 Italian Lira. Does that make Ghana or Nigeria better than Italy? Besides, Ghana only did an abracadabra by redenominating their currency in 2007 by removing 4 zeros from it. So, what we have as 100 cedis today would have been 1,000,000 cedis without that redenomination. That was when their currency seemed to go better than the naira. But is the cedis technically stronger? From all indications, no! Where there's a problem is when a currency's value to the USD fluctuates or depreciates very fast, and that's what we are facing in Nigeria. No one can dispute that. I only posted this to correct the impression that higher denominations of a currency in exchange to 1 dollar always indicate good standing for a country. Ghana is having serious problems right now, too. |
Antihypocrite:If you don't mind paying for a one-on-one online mentorship session, I can teach you all you need to know. However, you need to have the basic requirements -- a good laptop, reliable Internet, good command of English + writing skills, and the determination to succeed against all odds. |
UPDATE FOR JUNE & JULY 2023: SITE STILL GROWING!! My apologies for skipping the update at the end of June. Been busy with hospital runs (yes, I'm a practising medical doctor) and managing other sites. Here are the traffic figures for June and July: June 2023: 9,400 unique visits July 2023: 12,000 unique visits (despite that the site was down for 2.5 days due to a fire incident at the New York data centre of the hosting service I'm using). Recall that the traffic in May was 7,300 unique visits. So, the site's traffic is still on an upward trend. As for income, the figures aren't yet as impressive as I expected because I've been experimenting with different ad networks lately. Nonetheless, here are the income figures: June 2023: $102.37 (from Adsense only) July 2023: $102.53 ($84.48 from Adsense + $18.05 from another ad network). SITE FOR SALE!! At this point, I've decided to sell the site to an interested buyer who'll keep growing it from where I stopped. So, I may not provide further updates on the project, as I have proven my point beyond doubt. Note that I'm not selling with the Adsense account, as the account holds many of my other blogs. However, I have just applied for Adsense again using another account that I plan to sell with the site. I'm still waiting for approval, though. So, if you have just three million naira to invest in a growing project that is already making money, come and carry the site ASAP! If no buyer shows up, I'll keep building and growing the blog. It's been an interesting journey so far. While I may or may not continue to provide updates on the blog, I'll remain active on this thread to answer any questions you might have that relate to blogging. Thanks!
