The renewed cult war in Cross River state has claimed the life of another victim who was shot dead publicly on Friday, March 23rd. The deceased who some say was also a cultist - was gunned down yesterday along a guest house in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State.

According to reports, a group of armed men confronted the young man and killed him before taking to their heels.

Hello Nairalanders. Pls pardon typos and blunders incase of any because I am grossly angry right now.

My twin brother has been addicted to pornography and masturbation for some years now, although I started it since 2006 and stopped in 2016 since I noticed the terrible negative effects on every aspect of my life. All efforts to make him stop proved abortive.

In 2016 he had psychological issues and was admitted in the hospital for a month and he was fine and back to his normal self. At the hospital I read an article here on Nairaland that masturbation can cause brain issues then it dawned on me that that was the cause for his illness but I didn't disclose it to the doctor and my parents...

He promised and swore to me to never to masturbate again. I've been watching him closely and studying him and I am still noticing signs, he probably has stopped masturbating but he still watches porn which also has negative effects on his brain....

Fast forward to what happened this evening. Before I tell you what happened lemme tell you this too. He doesn't have any vision, no plans, no idea, he just sits at home and wait for his twin bro to bring money home or call mom and dad to help him with cash all these things irritates me so bad. Funnily enough he always talk about having a girlfriend, he tells me being single doesn't make sense and I react and tell him, which lady will stay with you when you have no vision and plans for yourself let alone for her..

According to Rotten Tomatoes, Black Panther is officially the best-reviewed superhero movies of all time and we have to agree.

The movie which was Marvel's first film directed by an African-American has raked in an estimated $192 million in North America alone, this weekend.

If you wondering what that means, it means that 'Black Panther' is the fifth biggest opening of all time.

The movie starring Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan broke multiple box office records too, stealing the record for the largest opening for an African-American director.

Before now, F. Gary Gray and "The Fate of the Furious" led this category after it opened to $98 million in April 2017.

According to Disney, the movie is estimated to bring in $218 million domestically. So far, the film has brought in an opening of $361 million around the world.

"Black Panther" also stole the record for an opening in February, which belonged to "Deadpool," the 20th Century Fox, R-rated superhero film that brought in $132 million when it opened in February 2016.


CNN reports that it is the second biggest opening for a Marvel Studios film, after 2012's "The Avengers," pushing past other huge hits like "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Captain America: Civil War" and "Iron Man 3."

It is also the studio's 18th straight number one opening.

This is an all time high for Hollywood, and with "Black Panther" reaching box office heights that other African-American titles have been unable to achieve, the film's total could cause a change in the industry by encouraging diversity both behind and in front of the camera.

A suspected internet fraudster has been arrested after he was caught using his young nephew for rituals in Lagos. According to online reports, the alleged Yahoo boy named Tunde Owolabi popularly known as 'Money Talks' was caught using his elder sister's 7-year-old son for money rituals in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

The suspect who took security operatives to where he dumped the boy's corpse - is currently in custody and helping the police with investigation.
