It's no myth. Mobile Phone Battery technologies have evolved over the last 3 decades and modern batteries no longer need this step. |
Amayabor1:No. UK generally has more confidence to limit immigration when the USA is doing something similar. |
Always trying to copy UK until they suddenly realise that their country is much different. |
Talkisneeded:A recruiter saying such statement is revealing his very own incompetence. The purpose of the interview is to measure the candidates's skill and experience via technical questions and case studies. |
Klington:No. That's an unprofessional comment. He could land in serious trouble if the guy takes it up with him, especially if he wasn't given the job. UK employers generally have an obligation to prove they tested all candidates equally. In fact you have the right to request for your interview score sheets in any govt funded company. |
If you're running internet dependent business in Nigeria you must have at least 2 or 3 network subscriptions. 1. Your primary network is the one that has the best connection in your area. You have to test multiple ones before you pick this. 2. Your fallback network is the one with the second best connection/speed in your area. 3. Your spare network. You almost never use this one. But one day, you're so desperate you need to get things done now now. This is the only way to avoid high BP. |
Be careful of this man oo. He's one of the few people you should never underestimate in Nigeria. |
It was never meant to work. No Solid long-term policy or development plans. It's all just noises to make you think something is being done. All APC does is to display screensaver - click it and it vanishes, leave it and it reappears. |
Just buy anti dandruff shampoo containing coal tar. Use it once a week. |
One mistake and Chernobyl will be the story. Nuclear is cheap and sustainable, but for a country with zero maintenance culture and gross indiscipline it's a ticking nuclear bomb instead of powerplant. |
What we need is investments in operational refineries and start exporting petroleum products instead of crude oil. |
FuckYeyeMods:That doesn't take more than a minute to read. Did it take you 5? |
Na wa o President removed governor. Now federal lawmakers want to remove state lawmakers. They've turned this country to a big joke. |
Favours and gifts make you indebted. In this case, you already know they're not for free - she's paying you in advance for your services. One day your wife will annoy you and this other woman will waiting with open arms... You will have sex with her - maybe on multiple occasions. Of course, you already know these things. You know the answer to your own question. It's not a matter of sin or not sin. It's a matter of not putting yourself in a disadvantaged position when you're vulnerable. Everyone has weak and vulnerable moments - what you bring into those moments will determine where you'd eventually come out from. |
But really. The most networked media houses are owned by western countries. And they will never report anything good about a country that defies western powers. Nairaland is a blog, doesn't field journalists who source stories. |
Doesn't mean anything! |
TallNigerian:Valid point. But also, no PURE BLOOD black African country is on that list. These guys will always make you think you blacks are the dumbest race that exists. |
Yet they all have roadworthiness certificates You guys should do your jobs! |
And they will start sending Forex back home! |
Let's hope the remaining 900 won't enter voice mail |
No sense! The day African leaders wake up and realise the reason the continent is poor is because we export raw materials instead of finished products (which we now buy back), all these western countries will start begging us for money to survive. Our leaders would rather find "foreign investors" to come and buy our natural resources for cheap price for 100 years! And some accursed individuals will still come here and praise them for bringing FDI. |
tuborme:It's a form of Stockholm Syndrome, where victims fall in love with their oppressors. |
The Bible says there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and a new Jerusalem. It also says the righteous will inherit the earth. Why do you think every saved person will end up in heaven forever? Hope you know paradise and heaven are not the same thing? |
Most of us "mainstream" Christians are raised to interact with JWs with (sometimes extreme) prejudice. The moment they open their mouths, all we hear is heresy, then all we want to do is argue with them without listening. More often than not, we pick certain statements without hearing the whole context. And this have greatly robbed us of learning anything from them. 1. There's something they do better than almost every Christian denomination I've seen - they preach the gospel with passion - at every opportunity. Many of us are not nearly that dedicated. 2. They stay simple. They don't waste resources on fancy church buildings, premium/luxury vehicles for leaders, expensive equipment, etc. Everything is focused publications and reaching out to the world. 3. They remain focused on the primary message of the gospel - salvation! Most of the rest of us have imported worldly noise into our messages. 4. A few of their (contrary) teachings are actually true in my opinion, and we're the ones who didn't read our Bibles properly (especially Pentecostals). I am not interested in debating specific topics, so I won't get into details. I'm not taking sides. My message is simple, like I said before - check the log in your own eyes. Every person should check himself or herself thoroughly against the scriptures before saying the other person is wrong. When someone tells you something contrary to your accepted doctrines by quoting the scripture, take a few days or weeks to read your Bible again and again. "Prove all things and hold on to that which is true." |
achorladey:You're right. |
achorladey:We are all guilty of thinking "ours is the best way", maybe not the only way but the superior way. Catholics think all others a wayward. Protestants think they're not distracted by unnecessary practices of the catholic, and don't do superficial Christianity like the Pentecostals. Pentecostals think being orthodox means you don't "understand the deep things of the spirit". Charismatics think all others lack spiritual connections. JWs think everyone else don't understand the Bible. All these denominations think if you have a different opinion from their teachings, you've "turned the Bible upside down". And since we can't even agree on what we believe, how would non-believers take us seriously?? |
achorladey:You see, my concern is how we Christians disparage any other denominations apart from ours. We see the others as "they're getting it wrong, they're confused". The greatest achievement of modern Christian leaders today is to divide the body of Christ. So we dislike each other instead of learning from one another. I've had the opportunity to become member of a number of denominations at different points in time. And I can tell you, every denomination has specific things they're getting right, but important things they're getting wrong. Even JWs. So whatever one you belong to, you're both right and wrong in many ways, so don't think you're better than others. |
MiddleDimension:Then you're no different from them. |
Remove the log from your eye before complaining about splinter in another person's eye. The fact that you're not JW doesn't mean the doctrines you follow don't have serious flaws you may be blind to. I am not JW in any way. But to start criticizing a denomination as justification for yours means you don't know what you stand for. Your question would be a lot better if you ask for opinions about infant baptism, or if you just state your views and respond to others' reactions. |
Only God can honour you. Whether you're a pastor or singer or evangelist, you shouldn't be looking for honour or reward from people. Unless you want to receive your reward on earth and forget about God rewarding you for your work at the end. It's that simple. |
TimeManager:You're talking trash. This was a public event that whatever happened there is not bound to be kept secret, and anybody can publish any parts of that event on any media. |
Good one. But that means a lot of time should be allowed between election dates and swearing in dates. |
