I was born and brought up in the north. I did all my schooling from creche to university in the north, but truth b told, northerns hate the truth. Most especially if u dare speak against islam or north, they can make life unbearable n uncomfortable for you. I hav so many of my lecturers as facebook friends. If u see the hate post these hausa lecturers post against Christians n other tribes, yet nothing is done to them. I can bet my life with u, If this guy is a muslim, and he made a hate post against xianity n south, nobody would say anytin or raise eyebrow, but because he is a xtian that was y they did that to him..

Huh? Are you serious. shocked.
I thought Chancellors are usually traditional rulers na.
Like uniben, d Chancellor is Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi..
Other universities also have traditional rulers as the head.
When did Alakija become a traditional rulerhuh shocked
cutebobo:
His name reminds me of one Yoruba Legendary Actor;
'Dakunro alakija'.
But I thought having new VC should be by election not the governor picking for the school.
mazizitonene:
power circle.......in the words of MI "the rich get richer, the poor get screwed".......
and na them go follow dey increase the school fees like say the money wey dem get never do them huh
Niyinficient:
.....and the rich keeps getting richer and the poor, poorer! Is there no retired academician, professor, public servant and several elderstatemen who have served d country in one capacity or d oda who can fill d post? SMH for d nation!
So many Nairalanders are educated illiterates. They are also dumbos. Chancellor is not vice chancellor. The roles of a chancellor are advisory and ceremonials. The chancellors only comes wen the university is having a ceremony like convocation or fund raising. The chancellors do not get anytin from d university rather they give to the university. The rich and wealyhy are usually chosen because they can bring more investment and money to the university.
Christianity Etc › Re: 136 Christians Convert To Islam In Kwara State by Welcomme: 7:10pm On Jan 27, 2016
Demmzy15:
Allaahu Akbar! Alhamdullahi, this also refutes a notion that Yoruba Muslims are converting to Christianity. This is a clear indication that Yoruba Muslims have woken up from the sleep, no time to waste time, Yoruba Christians(like pneumaticos and Annunaki) need to go extinct. The truth would continue to unfold itself!!!!

I could remember when they were shouting "6 million Muslims convert to Christianity each year in Africa"?! grin grin grin grin Christians are one set of funny people, Lord have mercy!!! grin
In Islam, Muslims must wash their hands and
feet before praying.
Faces ka'aba Mecca while praying.
Pray 5 times daily.
Dress in Arab dress code.
Pray only in Arabic while praying.
They do all of those outward and Arabic cultural
things, but still unable to discover the God of
universe but strongly believe that they are
impressing the Almighty God with Arabic culture
as If God is an Arab.
All this system of Prayers and Rituals in Islam
originated from the ancient Arabian Ba'al
religion.
1. Worship at the Ka’aba : The Prophet entered
Mecca and at that time there were 360 idols
around the Ka’aba. He started stabbing the idols
with a stick he had in his hand and reciting:
"Islam has come and Disbelief has vanished."
Sahih Bukhari 3:43:658
2. Veneration of the Black-stone: were
mentioned in the Quran (Surah 53:19) and Ba'al
scripture Kitab Al-Asnam (The Book of Idols), p
14.
3. Praying 5 Times Towards Mecca: Pagans prior
to Islam would pray five times per day towards
Mecca.[4] Muhammad retained for Islam, this
pre-Islamic practice, sanctioning it with a story
of a night trip to heaven on a mythical beast
called al-Buraq. In heaven, the Hadith tells us
that Allah demanded 50 prayers per day per
Muslim. Upon advice from Musa, Muhammed
bargains with Allah and successfully reduces it
to five prayers per day.
Zoroastrians are also recite their (kusti) prayers
at least five times a day having first cleansed
themselves by washing (ablution). So even
today, this is not a practice unique to Islam. But,
contrary to the Muslims, they pray in the
direction of the Sun (at each time of the day)
and/or of the Holy Fire (if they are in a Fire
Temple).
(Muhammad was able to change God's mind....,
Can you imagine that??)
4. Fasting on the 10th of Muharram: Narrated
'Aisha: 'Ashura' (i.e. the tenth of Muharram) was
a day on which the tribe of Quraish used to fast
in the pre-lslamic period of ignorance. The
Prophet also used to fast on this day. So when
he migrated to Medina, he fasted on it and
ordered (the Muslims) to fast on it. When the
fasting of Ramadan was enjoined, it became
optional for the people to fast or not to fast on
the day of Ashura. Sahih Bukhari 5:58:172
5. Tawaf between Safa and Marwa: Narrated
'Asim: I asked Anas bin Malik: "Did you use to
dislike to perform Tawaf between Safa and
Marwa?" He said, "Yes, as it was of the
ceremonies of the days of the Pre-lslamic period
of ignorance, till Allah revealed: 'Verily! (The two
mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwa are among
the symbols of Allah. It is therefore no sin for
him who performs the pilgrimage to the Ka'ba, or
performs 'Umra, to perform Tawaf between
them.' " (2.158) Sahih Bukhari 2:26:710
6. Requirement of Ihram: Ihram is a state a
Muslim enters into for his pilgrimage to Mecca.
It involves a series of procedures like ritual
washing, wearing 'Ihram garments', etc. Ihram
was originally a pagan requirement for
worshipping idols during pre-Islamic times.
Muhammad retained this practice for Islam.
Muslims assume Ihram to perform the Hajj or
Umrah. Sahih Bukhari 2:26:706
7. Circumambulation 7 Times: Circumambulation
is to go in circles around a particular object. In
Islam, worshippers and pilgrims do this around
the Ka'aba at Mecca. Pre-Islamic pagans used
do it to please the moon god Hubal, the 360
deities and Allah (who was merely one among
the many deities worshipped there). Muhammad
himself used to do it, even before the 360 idols
inside the Ka'aba were removed. Kitab Al-Asnam
(The Book of Idols), p 37.
8. Crescent Moon Symbol: the Crescent Moon
Symbol is identical with the ancient Ba'al Pagan
Crescent Moon Symbol, the only different is the
Modernization.
------------
It's CRAZY, IGNORANT and STUPIDITY for
someone to think that they can force one
particular Culture on God and God going to be
impressed by what they Wear, the one language
they use, what direction they face when they
pray and all sorts of things they do.
The truth is, if there was a God there, who could
be known, he should be able to recognized, no
matter where you face, no matter the language
you speak, no matter how you dressed as long
as you are not naked or dressed rude, because
He is God the all knowing.

Insightful post. I hate it when people whom God' s has blessed or the lucky ones come out side to say others are lazy. I hate it wen some spoilt kids who got riches through their parents without hardwork come out to say Nigerian youths are lazy. You work day n night for years with nothing to show for it and some idiots would come out to say u are lazy because they got their success on a platter of gold. The truth b told, our govt and leaders are not helping matters, they are only concerned about themselves and their children. Do u want to tell me americans are more hardworking than we do? May God help us. Op, good post!

My advice is this, wen u get another job, try as much as possible to remove ur 1/ 10 and everymonth and give to the needy, cuz that is the best way of paying tithe in Nigeria cuz of all these fraudulent pastors.
