I am a social work student, we did a course on child law and we were taught that children from age 12 can be left briefly with the younger siblings, I don't know how long the time is I think for few hours, you can check young carer under the children act 1989 ( that's the act social workers currently use)

We were told that you can enroll the young child under the younger carer program. Do your research, I think your 13 year old is legible and can take care if the younger ones, I didn't ask where but I know it's the local authority that will help you sign up for the younger carer program.

Your options are four, which are: Sokoto, Kaduna, Kano and Abuja. But I doubt if there are flight going from Lagos to Sokoto. Even if there are probably Azman air, it will.be expensive. If your reason for taking flight is insecurity, In all these options, there are still risks attached because you will still have to board a bus /car to Gusau. The closest being Sokoto.. The road from sokoto to Gusau is not safe from lamba Bakura to Zamfara. If it is Kano, the road is not safe from Katsina to Gusau..If it is Kaduna/Abuja, Abuja to Zaria road ain't safe.. Zaria to Funtua ain't safe. Funtua to Tsafe ain't safe. Tsafe to Gusau ain't safe... If insecurity is your number one reason for wanting to follow flight, I will advise you use Luxurious buses going from Lagos to Gusau/sokoto direct. You will hardly hear that luxurious buses are attacked by bandits.. It had happened but very few occasions compare to those 18 seaters o Siena..
