The truth about this is that, if u want an artistic, beautiful, well levelled, well finished house with substandard materials call this so called engineers.

At the end of my 100 level Second semester my CGP was reading 4.2 without a single carryover, I was very happy because I thought I had scaled through the danger zone.

The unexpected occurred when I logged into the school portal at the end of my Second Semester Examination to check my result, I cleared all the courses with A's and B's but a course was reading Carryover, I nearly fainted when I saw the result, it was a biology course I offered in second semester to me the course was the simplest of all. I did not inform my parents because I din not want to dishearten them.

The school resumed, so I went to my HOD and complained, she took me to the Exam office who searched thoroughly for my script and from what I saw it was obvious I failed, I scored 32% and was asked to change department, my HOD advised that I go to Biological Sciences, my eyes were filled with tears.

How do I tell my parents this, it only mean I have brought shame to them. I have remained in school since then crying from one angle to another I don't know whether to go home to my parents to inform them of the truth or keep telling them lies.

I need your sincere advice.

Sincere advise, take a deep breath, be happy, don't kill yourself please, don't tell your daddy now too, but tell him before school resumes and don't tell your uncle or aunty (they will always point their evil fingers at you, forgetting their children can't do better at this stage ur religious leaders will be better),your dad can't kill you.
Best thing I think is to change your dept to biological sciences, do some side jobs (tutorials or lessons), take jamb for next year(if u wish) and start afresh. And if u can't start afresh, continue with your biological sciences.

You're mixing up the function of a transformer and a fuse. They are distinct things. A FUSE breaks a circuit as a means of protection while a TRANSFORMER does what you just described and it has nothing to do with the cable in question.

One major reason why the distribution cable isn't used for the interior wiring is handling. Those distribution cables that run from the pole are not legible enough and too thick to fit into most household junction boxes, wall socket and fuse boxes.

That's not true . Fuse has no role to play in stepping down of power. The only thing a fuse does is it cuts when the power being sent into the house exceeds the rating of the fuse.
The job of stepping down the village is usually done by the transformer.

Am a chemist not an engineer.
Pure water will not conduct electricity, except if there are impurities in it.
Recall that if u touch a live wire without water in your hands u can still get electrocuted. Why is it so, this is because your body has salts that acts as a conductor of electricity inside of u, this is the same metal salts impurities we have in our waters that makes it possible for them to conduct electricity.
When a pure water makes contact with electricity it dissociate, I.e the water molecules split up to H and OH, and this is a process of electrolysis and it's also use to obtain certain chemical compounds or elements. So assume our body is made of pure water, then when we come in contact with electricity the water molecules in us will dissociate.

when that interior wiring is connected to the government power supply you may still be able to get a good current if there's no fuse to break it down, but without fuse this current will be too high for all the home appliances and therefore will damage them, that is why all power coming from the pole are connected to a fuse that breaks it down to something ur home can take.
When u connect this thick wire to that fuse, there will be fluctuation in the electricity of that house, because d current will want to wrap around that thick circumference n long length of the wire, before reaching each destination of every appliances and stuffs which will lead to low supply to ur appliances n bulbs etc, that is because the power from d pole has been broken down by the fuse. But I still need engineers to make corrections on what I said.. I may be wrong.

I am against this, water is a bad conductor but the impurities in water is facilitator of its conductivity. Speaking of conductivity and resistivity in a body as large as a lagoon, it is never possible for the same current at point A, to be at point G or point Z. Remember that resistance also takes a measurement from length of the material, which will reflect on the resistivity of the material and then conductivity
