AfroKnight: This funny and needless.
A man’s loyalty is compartmentalised. If your wife puts you in a position where you have to decide if she’s more important than your mother then you married a idîot for a wife. you've spoken well |

[quote author=goldenboyofpsy post=88197449]Do you have a background in education or child development?
Most parents or aspiring parents think otherwise.
I actually just know a thing or two pertaining to it.
It's really not ideal for parents to make their kids skip classes but sadly majority do not know this, all they seem to care about is getting their kids to finish up in the shortest time as possible. The value of education seem to be lost to most. |

goldenboyofpsy: Just like a boss ahead of his contemporaries. Lagos is waking up to address the emotional and social deficiencies of this rush where children don't mature before moving to the next stage of academic ladder.
It's a giant stride and I appreciate their concerns. Maturity is key and it will help us to challenge the pains, stress and headaches parents and lecturers face in school dealing with such immature lads. This is very commendable...this is something I've always said . |

candyguyofficia: While I totally understand your perspective from the first bold, I'm concerned about person's critising her on the bases of allegedly been a NCDC ambassador, there is a line between public morality n the law, she hasn't committed any crime if the person's in attendance including her nuclear family is less or 20 persons. At the second bold part, if she is sure of her health status, her kids and her husband is she sure of the person health status that will bring the cake to the house for the house party of JUST her nuclear family? Is it not or almost same risk as the guests she invited. Please don't say it's just one person bringing the cake n should she go to the market to buy foodstuff for her nuclear family party, is it not same risk as the party she organized? The point I'm trying to make is that one can never be so health conscious to avoid any health lapses that could be fatal. As long as attendance isn't more than 20, her "offence" can slide. What's your opinion on the Taraba couple that wedded indoor?
I would love to state that I do not support Funke act, should her alleged ambassadorial deal be cancelled it wouldn't be a step in the wrong direction (as ambassadorial deal and public morality are linked strongly together) all im simply saying is that SOME of the bashing she is receiving on social media is not justified as long as EVERYONE in attendance do not exceed 20 I agree with you. |

SciLab: Igbo customs existed for centuries before lugard and his ashawo wife cobbled your nigeria together under the influence of tombo liquor. The house where the nigeria was cobbled together is now in shatters, rotten beyond redemption to reflect the hopeless state of the contraption they sewed up together.
So yes Igbo customary laws superceeds you Nigerian law that is less than a 100 years old. My grandfather is older than the so-called nigerian constitution..No living man is older than Igbo customary laws.
Another name for nigeria is 'Tufiakwa'. Chest beating as usual |

lx3as: You talk as if Yorubas have no tradition where the man owns the child whether he marries the woman or not.
What you opined can only happen if they are both Igbo couple.
This is a clash of traditions and anyone inheriting Yoruba child is signing up his death penalty; David already said that! Exactly! only the law will prevail over such issue and we all know what d judgement will be. |
Celebrities › Re: Davido Reacts To Tweet About Losing Son To Another Man According To Igbo Culture by Wendybrown(f): 9:03pm On Feb 24, 2020 |
Lastanza: Please ar u a lawyer and what is actually law about this. Is it just the sake of being the biological father of the baby or there is any other thing that we may need to understand. Traditionally in Igbo land if a man has not paid the bride price of the woman, the father of the woman owns the child. You forgot the father has culture too? |
Celebrities › Re: Davido Reacts To Tweet About Losing Son To Another Man According To Igbo Culture by Wendybrown(f): 8:55pm On Feb 24, 2020 |
Juliusmalema: Please on a more sincere note let us all try and respect tradition.
That child in Igbo tradition rightfully belongs to chioma's father.
How can Davido be claiming a child he hasn't done. Anything on the mothers head. It is fully reserved for chioma's father to either allow the child to go over to David or not.
If he decides tomorrow that this child will be part of his land inheritance and will take his share as his son. He is right.
I am yet to come to terms how this child belongs to david.
The twitter user was right.
Finally, judges that are versed in people's tradition will try such case and on merit of it. Sadly they do not judge based on people's tradition but on proven evidences...na dem sabi jare |

Kenturkey048: please tell yourself the truth..Do you listen to more of these people you mentioned ?? How many of their songs you get for your phone or house ?? Burna devised a standard from already battered one... He paved his way himself.....most of una started liking him when the recognition started coming ... You might be right if we are talking about national recognition sadly we're not, the recognition we're talking about is the international one and yes Kidjo as an afro beat musician is way bigger than Burna boy in tge international scene same as Seun Kuti for him to have been nominated twice. Burna boy is just being needlessly arrogant and it's uncalled for. |

Joshmodest: I kinda knew this was going to happen , burnaboy was surely going to mis- yarn .... Wizkid is proud and arrogant people say this all the time yet never has he made this kinda statement.... I was a fan of burnaboy even when few people appreciated his music ...but apparently the line btw confidence and pride is thin or non existent ..... Wizkid in 2016 was clearly bigger than burna's last year , he was on a song that had over a billion streams on Spotify ...setting record for most streamed song on planet Earth , he was on top of the billboard hot 100 , first among his peers in the whole of Africa , ad the only Nigerian home grown and maybe abroad to last there for 10 weeks in 13 countries....Wizkid was a blast that year , his come closer song made it to top 60 in the billboard charts , he got a Grammy nomination and yet didn't make this typa noise ! Let's not even talk of dbanj's Oliver twist , till date burnaboy has no song bigger than ojuelegba and come closer , even his African giant didn't make ot to the top 100 , Wizkid had sounds from the other side on no 109 .... Dbanj , 2 face , Wizkid all paved way for burnaboy , whether he agrees or not , when Drake started featuring Wizkid he was still using burnaboy as a ghost song writer , he shouldn't think we've forgotten !!!! The fact still speaks for itself. he's just an arrogant fellow. |
