TV/MoviesRe: Yoruba Actors And Actresses In Nollywood Are Better? by WesleyanA(f): 5:11am On Dec 06, 2006
oh yeah, why do a lot of the english movies almost all the time have to be about some guy coming from abroad w/ some funky accent and lots of cash, and gennevieve marrying him and some other girl trying to marry him?
it's usually soooooo predictable. omg

I hardly watch english nollywood movies anyways.
We usually only watch yoruba ones mostly because that's what we associate w/ since i'm yoruba.
some yoruba movies can get predictable too but most certainly not on the same level as english ones where you know almost exactly how the movie will go by the title or first five minutes, the storylines are also sometimes very outlandish.

for some reason, i thought every naija movie (yoruba, english/pidgin) was nollywood. huh I thought the pidgin ones were the igbo movies.
yeah how come some igbos don't speak their language or make igbo movies. but then they make fun of yorubas for speaking yoruba? Like english is supposed to be everything. jeez

whoever mentioned magun (thunderbolt),
it's one of my fav nollywood movie of all time. well, my mom loved it too but and we had to close our eyes when they were doing the thing. this was years ago. lol

yeah sola sobowale is great too.

why aren't yoruba movies considered as part of nollywood?

RomanceRe: Friends With Benefits: Am I Playing With Fire? by WesleyanA(f): 4:01am On Dec 04, 2006
Well, what do you plan on doing?
i think its all in fun and i'm enjoying it plus tha sex is great which is all im in it for
so, what's the point of this thread if you know what you're doing/ will be doing?

some of your stories are disgusting (about the period and whatnot).
keep your personal sex life to yourself, please? your mature enough.
unless the thread is for some other nasty purpose then it probably should move to the "sexuality" board.
huh

FashionRe: Tips For Maintaining Braids by WesleyanA(f): 11:55pm On Dec 03, 2006
don't take out all of your braids before combing. comb each braid individually (in sections).

always start at the top/tips and work your way down when you comb.

use some mosturizer/oil so it doesn't break off from being too dry (never comb your hair when it's dry)

leaving braids in for 3mths is bad. angry never do it again (i do it sometimes. lol )

don't do single braids all the time. once or twice a year is enough if you want to keep your edges.

don't use cheap shampoos or anything that contains alcohol.
