Hello sirs Whales001 Tope2580 walex222 Phamoo4u

Can one get a sponsorship working visa directly from Brazil?
If No, how easy is it to get a job in Brazil as one also needs to plan on how to survive with the family over there before leaving. Or what do you think sirs?

Seems i done answer you via your social handles. For the benefit of others, Yes it's possible to get a job from here but your chances are slim, I mean slim. People I knows that secure offers from here are into "Tech" infact they didn't step out of Nigeria they work remotely and only go for vacation when ever they want to.

Less I forgot, language plays an important role in helping you secure a job in no time except your focus is only on English speaking firm which are limited and very competitive. So learn the language as this could be a barrier for your job haunting hurdles.

Good luck.

More so, from the look of things I begin to wonder if it's only in Nigeria we are having this so much delays, For example the mission in Nigeria has suspended appointment booking until June, while I saw a Ghanaian saying he recently secured an appointment for March, whereas appointment in Nigeria was suspended late February. I don't have the guy's contact to follow up and ask the turn around time for them to get a visa compare to Nigeria

Almost two months now and student visa still under review. I mailed them na another thing wey no relate with wetin i mail them for den dey talk.

2 months say wetin happen, na incomplete documents i know when fit make stuff like that delay, even at that, they will be the one to email you to make provisions of missing documents, that 2 months things is totally out of it, when you sent mail what was there response to you. If you’re financially reserv , I for say make you write request to withdraw your passport and look for an alternative country to do your studies....

Please any reasons why visa are being delayed ? Or is there anyone who has gotten his or her visa within the last one month

In the last one month you said! I know some who got just 2 weeks back , Visa are being issued just that the process is slow, May be it's deliberate I don't know. All visa type are subject to minimum of 6weeks and could be more, should yours hit 6 weeks and still no show, just respectfully write them for a follow up I believe they will respond to you. While writing to them mention your full name , visa type and application reference number and the date you submitted.

Good Luck.....

It's over a month i submitted my documents for (student visa) at the Brazil embassy but till now status is still under review. I've mailed the consular and sent a reminder but no response till now. Any idea what I need to do again and does it usually take time like this Anyone having the same experience?

It now takes a minimum of 6 weeks for any visa types, if after 6weeks you did not hear anything from them you can now write them.

That's One "CON" of the Brazilian, there system is slow, anyone going through them must have alot of patience. And the good thing is; despite it takes alot of time to procure there visa, success rate is high in as much as you meet the necessary requirements.

I am not sure if tourist visa is affected with this new development, I think the one week thing still applied for tourist visa applicant to get a decision, however things might have change for some weeks now as most people are experiencing serious delay. Do not loss hope though, your situation might be different from others, meet a guy 2 weeks back at the missions office who got a decision exactly 1 week and was issued a tourist visa, so in as much as your applications are intact and complete you should get a decision soon. If your application as taken more than a month to six weeks , it's advisable you write them on Tuesday for a follow up. Presently they are on brake because of the election and would be back to work on Tuesday.

Obianyanwu:
Thank you for the info. Any info on tourist visa applicants who have since attended interviews but yet to get any feedback? Thought it takes 1 week after interview but some are staying over a month recently, any thoughts?

Travel / Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Whales001(m): 10:14am On Feb 26, 2023
Hi Guys! If you have applied for a Brazilian visa recently please check your mail, there is an urgent update from the Brazilian embassy to almost everyone who have applied for visa for the purpose of visiting the country to seat for the nursing exams, that's Nclex , so check your mail and check underlisted names in the email sent to everyone if your is inclusive on those granted visa , if not you are been advised to be patient, and note; you all have been advised not to reschedule except you're being ask to do so. Mostly the names publish for a granted visa are those who will be sitting for there exams early next month March, others are advice to be patient as regards outcome of there visa.

And also note these; The mission will no longer accept applications from any applicants with short duration notice to procees there visa, such applications will be rejected said the mission, Going forward you are all advice to give at least minimum of 6 weeks for processing of your visa applications, anything in contrary to this may lead to rejection or refusal of your application, so please take note of this little things to avoid being denied your visa.

So let's continue to arm our self with useful information that could help those already in the process or that are about to start, keeping all information to your self will do no one a favor please , so this have share with you guys here are not on there website or on there bill boards for now, hope this tips gives you some edge ahead if you're in the process of lodging a new application or already in the process to avoid silly errors or mistakes. Also note: No appointment date will be dish out for now from early next month till further notice except you have already been book for one before this recent development.

Also for the brother asking for a legal way to stay back on tourist visa , yes it's possible, please do this via study route, what I mean is this: you can easily convert your tourist visa to a student visa upon your arrival by applying for a Portuguese language programs which will be the easiest for you, please start the process as early as you arrive in the country as it takes a minimum of 2 months to 3 months to get this things done to avoid running out of your tourist visa application legal stay in the country while your application for a student visa is in progress.

Goo Luck Everyone.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What A Friend Did To Me Last Week. by Whales001(m): 11:14pm On May 22, 2021
Cpossibility:
What a friend did to me last week.

Just like in my case, so many graduates in the country are today, traumatized, depressed or even suicidal. Nothing is more depressing than seeing oneself jobless after several years of graduation. More annoying is when there's no finance to even start a business no matter how brilliant the business idea could be. If I have capital or even a collateral to use and get some money somewhere, I would rest completely from job hunting.

My ordeal.
Few months ago, I stumbled on a friend on Facebook whom we were school mates back in secondary school. His parents resided outside the state which he normally came back on school resumption and would go back during holidays.

On meeting him on Facebook, taking a look at his pictures, he's obviously doing well and claimed he's working with an international NGO. I told him my pains which is unemployment. Immediately, he was happy and telling me not to worry again that with his connections here and there, I'll get a job. His promise was to fix me either in the NGO, an insurance company, factory work or any other place of which he has links and connections.

We talked extensively and negotiated my movement and arrived I should come over last week. The plans was to stay in his 2 bedroom apartment and until 3-4 months when I can rent my own place. So I moved from Rivers state to Lagos Monday last week with just 16k on me. En route Lagos, we were keeping in touch so to know how closer I am and until I got to Lagos (God is Good Motors park) around 8pm. I called him that I have arrived the park and he said he was coming to pick me.

Long story short, that was the last time his number went. Initially, I thought it was network, or may be temporary low battery. I kept dialling the number through out the night but it never went again. Of course I had no choice than to sleep in the park. Woke up the next morning hoping his number would go but still same. I had no body else in Lagos nor knowing any where as that was my first time in Lagos. So I was just roaming around the park the whole day like a lost sheep, hungry, frustrating and pains but still hoping for his call but none came. When I tried reaching via Facebook and realized I was blocked, that was when it dawned on me that I have to start going back immediately. Already, transport fare from PH to Lagos finished about N10,500. So I was left with about 4k on me. At that point in the evening, I knew my best bet as I said earlier was to find my way back immediately but I didn't even have enough cash for my return. I had no option than to start telling people about my predicament and appealed for help to raise fund to return home the next morning. I was mocked and laughed at while some were asking to buy my phone at a very ridiculous amount. But then at that point, I could have sold it at the ridiculous amount but the phone was the only medium of communication with people especially my mum who was already worried over the journey right from the onset. I kept approaching people to help me and until one man graciously completed the money for me and I paid for my return.

On reaching home, I did nothing than thanking God that at least my case wasn't like that of late Iniobong Umoren. At least I came back home alive...which is the most important thing. But what I don't understand is why the guy chose to be that wicked to me forgetting this world is a very small place. I mean if there was never a job, why did he have to put me through that? Anyways, I have since moved on. Not even swearing/cursing him but leave everything for God. Such is life!

Fellow nairalanders, that is the dairy of a Nigerian job seeker. This leave me with the question, "will Nigeria ever be good for ordinary Nigerian?"
What is your qualification and area of specialization.....

Am not too sure , but should you have a reasonable amount in your account to present as self sponsor I think you should be fine because they know PhD students enjoys monthly stipen from the govt.

With 4M, was the sponsor account still necessary?
Read in some pages that some applied with far less than that and they got their visa too.
yes you're good to go. My friend personal account was 500K , sponsor 3M and visa approved. Not necessarily you must have the whole word budget in your account to get approval.

The Kanuri Man, can you help with is contact if he still in the business of selling gold. I think the man will be reliable to do business with

descarado:

This place made me. Sold jewerlies and got massive connections while in school. The rest was history.

I have one steady customer, a kanuri man. He couched me all I need to know about golds and the likes. Then told me to raise some capital, he will support me and I processed my papers and Dubai here we come.

If you go to their shops, they hardly allow non Muslims to enter inside but this man will allow me to come inside and teach me for free. Of course, his people don't like it but he told them I'm like his daughter. Just dress appropriately when going there. And he usually buys stuffs for me whenever he travel. Whenever I finish, will enter katonguri and buy traditional wears. Very very cheap.

Why Estonia, why not Poland or czech this two country have job with least unemployment rate, and u don't need IELTS to apply, only that Czech visa take long time like 2months but Poland within 2weeks to one month, Poland is better for him because they have growing economy with job scattered every where but salary is less when compared to Estonia, tuition fee is equally less in Poland and Czech, anyone u choose u can use 3m to leave Nigeria via study route to some eu country.

What that bro seek is an individual opinion to help him make a better decisions, all I said was from my own personal view and individual Contribution. So the decision is upto him, be it estonia , poland, Czech. He will make success from any of those countries mention and to be successful you have to work for it

First of all go write your ielts exam, apply for academic exams and not general. Try secure overall band @ 6.0, then after write a motivational letter depending on choosen subject of study and school as different school as there own requirements, if those 2 things I stated now is ready then you are set for the first face of the admission process from your school of choice. The country as a central database or platform that all universities use to access applicants application, we call it dream apply. On that website you creat your account, choose your school and apply. You will mostly pay application fees to apply via any school in Estonia ranging from €50 to € 100 and some schools might need to interview you before they could grant you an offer letter so be prepared. Admission isn't cheap but competitive. Find on Nairaland Estonia study group to read more to get ahead with your plans for the year. In that group you will find my contribution and others opinions too to help and guide you in your application and visa process. It's a do it your self process you need not to pay an agent for this. Read more success stories from guys that have done it all by them self and how you can do the same. Any other thing kindly ask in the group,if it's personal email me but if not , ask here so others can learn .....
