NATIONALPASTOR: Can't you see how sick and deranged you are ?
Real ikweres knows it was Yoruba's and Northerners that killed them during Biafra war.
This was why Yoruba's removed history from a subject to be studied in Nigerian schools.
What are they hiding? It was Igbos. Not Yorubas or Hausa. We are conscious and old enough to differentiate who is who. The Igbos did and not only the ikwerres but to other minorities of the Delta. |

Their grouse here according to what I read is that the they ‘deserved to be consulted’ on the state creation but you have chosen to twist the story to promote your narrative Bros God bless you. The Okirikans, Kalabari, Ogoni people know who the Igbos are. These people suffered the maltreatment of the minorities by the Igbos just as the ikwerres suffered. Ikwerres can't be accepted in Rivers if these other minorities viewed them as Igbos. Asari knows those his father bought as slaves. Ikwerre is only about two kilometers from Kalabari yet there is no history of been enslaved as Asari noted. |

Some Ikwerres say they are Igbo, others say they are not. Confusion everywhere Bros if you have an objective mind you will not let this have a good part of you. Duncan Mighty has never ever in his life claim to be Igbo. He speaks Igbo fluently because he grew up in Igbo land. His mother is Igbo. Meanwhile anyone whose mother is Igbo can claim Igbo heritage. Don't listen to Uche Okwukwu. He is beside his mind. |

gidgiddy: That is beside the point, Ikwerres can hate or love whoever they like
The point is can I as an Igbo man celebrate my Igbo day in any part of Nigeria? Doesnt matter if its Ikwerre land or not. If I can't, then there is no such thing as 'one Nigeria'
So in the long term, we should all be thinking about how to dissolve this country so that everyone can get where they can freely celebrate their national day What you see on the surface is truly not the bone of contention. I am Ikwerre. The relationship between the ikwerres and Igbos have always been that of cat and dog. Igbos say Ikwerre Land is Igbo land and a prove of that is hosting the event in Ikwerre land. Ikwerres see this as a confirmation of their claim and hence the objections. This is the underlying reason don't mind any other thing put up. |

I'm glad that generation that started this madness in ikwerre land are old now, and when they dies off the new generation won't ever believe they are igbos, And so shall it be. There is no Ikwerre generation that has ever accepted to be Igbos. Ikwerres formed Ogbakor Ikwerre even before Ohaneze Ndigbo. |

gidgiddy: Wait ooo
So its not "one Nigeria"? I cant celebrate 'Igbo day' in any state of my choice in Nigeria? So where is this 'one Nigeria' people keep talking about?
As much as I think this news is fake because a police commissioner should be knowledgeable enough to know that any Nigerian can celebrate any event, anywhere in Nigeria according to to chapter 4 of the Nigerian constitution , it does show the mindset of some people
There are people in Nigeria who are scared that Ikwerres are ever embracing their Igboness with every passing day, and want to scuttle that so they can continue with "divide and rule"
What those people will never understand is that nobody can fool everyone all the time Bros with passion ikwerres detest Igbos description. It didn't start today. Not even after the war but before the war. |

*PORT HARCOURT IS IKWERRE LAND* ...𝑪𝑷 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒔 𝑶𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒛𝒆 𝑵𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒃𝒐
The meeting between Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Dr. Polycap Emeka Nwonyi, members of Iwhuruohna People's Association (IPA) and Ohaneze Ndigbo as a result of the petition written by IPA to the Inspector-General of Police, copied to the CP and other security agencies, took place yesterday in his office. During the meeting, the delegation of IPA led by the President, High Chief Monday Wehere and Dr. William Wodi stated categorically that Ikwerre people are not Igbos, and that there is no “Igbo-speaking” part of Ikwerre land as claimed by the Ohaneze Ndigbo.
They maintained that Igbos have five state capitals and numerous other cities where the so-called “Igbo Day” can be used to honour their fallen heroes but their choice of Port Harcourt is aimed at causing the breakdown of law and order.
They also reminded the CP that the two factional leaderships are proposing the celebration at undisclosed venues in PH. The delegation of IPA pointed out that there is the likelihood that their undisclosed venues may clash with the venue for the "Ikwerre Martyrs' Day" already scheduled for September 29th, 2023.
They concluded by saying that one of the reasons they are against them calling Ikwerre people Igbos and that Rivers State is not part of Igbo states is to stop them from extending their sit-at-home order to Rivers State.
Responding to their submission, the leader of Igbo Community in Rivers State, Barr. Emmanuel Ukala, who is also the Vice Chairman of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Port Harcourt Branch, denied ever fixing Igbo Day Celebration in Port Harcourt.
He maintained that the celebration was fixed at Enugu and also disowned the statements credited to Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Chidi Ibe and Chief Uchenna Okokoba respectively. He also said that they are impostors and cannot speak for Igbo people.
At this point, members of IPA quickly presented the press release of both factions and affirmed that the said venue earlier scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt was shifted to Enugu because of the pressure of IPA on them.
After listening to both sides, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Dr. Emeka Polycap Nwonyi advised members of Ohaneze Ndigbo to honour their heroes and do their celebration in their states and leave Port Harcourt if Ikwerre people decides not to join, saying that Port Harcourt is Ikwerre land and whoever that buys land here will not carry it to his or her hometown.
The case ended in favour of IPA, therefore, the Igbo Day Celebration is no longer holding in Port Harcourt.

—The final day for Atiku brief of argument at the Supreme Court is sept 28th.
—From what I’m seeing, Tinubu lawyers might file the reply that same 28th for this Chicago court and by then Atiku no go fit include any new evidence in his Supreme Court filing. Even tho technically, Supreme Court shouldn’t accept new evidence.
—After the 28th would have passed, Tinubu will now allow Chicago state to release his certificate and etc.
Like that Atiku could have wasted all his effort. People that are novice won’t understand Tinubu game. And u r happy? |

coputa: This is weighing down the economy as essential goods and services are beyond the reach of of the average citizens, can't the government take proactive action on this, although some believe that with the removal of the fuel subsidy and working of the refineries will help.
The naira will subsequently regain value because the rush for dollar to import petroleum products will be reduced
This seems like a two pronged approach by the present administration to reverse the tide. Like I said Nigerian leaders do not like Nigeria. They hate it the same IMF hates Africa. And this is why they do not waste time in implementing all the anti-people policies of IMF. Britain still subsidizes a lot of services for her citizens. But the only thing Nigerian government subsidizes for her citizens IMF advised our leaders to remove it. This is three months fuel subsidy was removed there has been no improvement anywhere rather it's moved from bad to rotten. Float naira now naira is falling like floating winter leaves. |
