To be Frank with you guys I’m a teacher and I happen to find myself working as a part time teacher for a particular woman…
The very day I got the job it was Thru a watsap chat I had with the woman but she was out of town then , so she ask me to visit her sch so her daughter who happen to be the principal conduct physical interview for me… After the successful interview with her daughter I chatted her up to discuss my payment on watsap, and it was that same chat she told me (cos they just had 2 weeks prior to examination) that I just have 2 weeks to round up, then revision, marking of scripts and she never mention to me that I was going to do recording of the script..
we agreed on the payment and I started working. Now I’ve concluded my work with her by marking the scripts and I ask her for my payment, she initially sent me 20k out of 27k and was bringing up lots of excuses that I didn’t record the scripts so I explained to her that it wasn’t part of our agreement and she said I shud go and record it which was just a day before they’ll release the results to students and I was sick so I told her I can’t that even if I shud do that it will be on my own free mind and not making it compulsory for me cos it was not part of our agreement and again I’m not feeling fine to go out..
After I had a deep thought about it I decided to refund her the 20k that she shud complete it before I cud accept it because that cud be a trick for her not to pay complete… The next thing she said was that she’s heard me but will pay me whenever she has the money… I replied her by asking her to give me a particular date when she’ll pay me she has refuse to say anything… I’ll call her she’ll busy my line… I’ll text her she’ll read my messages and ignore… this is more than a week now that she aught to have paid me but to no avail … The funny thing is she hasn’t said anything yet since then and wasn’t taking my calls
I can’t possibly go to the sch cos it’s quite far from my house
I’m planning on reporting her to the appropriate authority to recover back the money cos I’m even broke now and it was because I needed money urgently made me go to the sch so I can see money to take care of my needs now she’s refuse to pay me and I’m confuse and haven’t slept for days now…

I was highly frustrated today, while I was on my way rushing to an event to meet up with the 10:00 AM deadline for the event which I was also the chairman, a group of some fiercely-looking police officers flagged down my vehicle and I slowed down.

One of the officers came towards my vehicle, ordered me to come out from the car and started demanding for my driver's license. I was like, what is going on?

In as much as I am aware that police officers have taken it upon themselves to be asking people for their vehicle particulars, which is a good way of tracking stolen cars, they asked for it and I provided it, but asking people for their driver's license is what I think is out of the picture.

I tried to exercise my right as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by briefly dragging it with them initially, which I think this issue of police asking for driver's license had raised dust sometime ago, but I realized that I'm still in Nigeria, last last, I settled with 5k, this is with abeg o, after several hours and minutes had gone by, I arrived the event place by 01:15 PM, an event slated for 10:00 AM.

like I said earlier, asking for car particulars from people by the police is good, but asking for driver's license is where I think the issue lies. I thought anything that has to do with checking of drivers license is strictly under the jurisdiction of the FRSC?

I'm feeling nothing but anger and cheated which gave rise to many questions going through my mind;
Who gave the police officers the jurisdiction to be asking for driver's license?
Is there any amended law(s) that granted the police force that power?

why you no get drivers license? Every security agency has the right to demand for your driver's license, they're not taking it from you, just checking it for identification. You can't have everything required by Law and beg police to pay Kobo. So you are wrong.

I have heard the saying that "[i]the doctors know bette[/i]r", but it is not always the truth.. I have encountered terrible and poorly trained doctors. I will cite 2 scenarios.
1. About a decade ago, my uncle who had been having feverish feeling woke up one morning with blood stains in his eyes. I was assigned to take him to a popular church hospital, somewhere in Oloosha mushin. On getting there, the doctor on duty examined him and concluded we had to start eye treatment, that the eye must have been injured. He asked if d man ever had any thing hit him in the eye, and the man answered no, yet the fùfú doctor insisted we must commence eye treatment. Anyway we left because their fee were too high.
We then went to Mushin Local Govt Community hospital in Palm Avenue. The doctor on seat was a graduate of OAU, whom I knew earlier in the neighbourhood. We exchanged pleasantries and he started diagnosis on my uncle. Guess what, after the excellent diagnosis, he deduced that the man's BP rose so much and his veins (including the one in d eyeball bursted). We starred BP treatment, and to God's glory, the man's health was stabilised and his eyes were clear in a short time.

2. M The second one happened in 2019, to my church member who was down with fever. He was in a community hospital around Ayobo, Lagos, and the female doctor knew he needed urgent malaria treatment, so she ordered us to take him to the general hospital somewhere in Alimosho. On getting to d general hospital, the doctor on duty refused to attend to him. In fact we saw the doctor a few meters away discussing with a lady. When I saw the situation of the brother, I picked him and we went to join the doctor, and he grudgingly disengaged d lady.
The diagnosis started and the doctor said "I saw u when u guys came in, u were staggering. Tell me the truth, do use any drugs? ". The young man answered *no*. Then the doctor responded, "u are not ready to be helped".
The young patient brought out his cellphone and said "sir I saw it online that when malaria parasites cumulative so much in d blood stream, they can block the blood vessels supplying the brain, thus affecting balance, memory and so on". The young man is not even anything near a medical professional. He was a struggling graduate, trying to explore computer programming career.
The doctor felt so embarrassed and answered "aren't u a Christian? Are u supposed to believe such....", in an attempt to cover for his failure. Then he wrote something in a paper and gave me, asked me to take it to d pharmacy. It was MALARIA injection that was written there. I bought it and he directed us to somewhere nurses were, and the young man was given d injection, and we also bought malaria medications on the counter, and to cut long story short, the young man recovered.

Always consult Google any time you are with these so called "doctors'. . Most of the people we call doctors nowadays are young children who weren't smart enough to pass jamb, and their parents used alternative admission routes to help them study Medicine.
Moral of my epistle: The doctors don't always know better.
