Drug cartels have a lot of money and resources at their disposal to break into new territories, promote their products, and give governments a run for their money. The war against drugs can never cease. Legalizing it may solve some problems, but will no doubt create even further problems. I was awestruck when i saw pictures of a submarine belonging to a drug kingpin. It was used for smuggling drugs until it was intercepted and captured by the U.S. coastguards. |
Im not Yoruba, but in very familiar with the song. Most of my friends are Yoruba, and i grew up listening to their music. Ahhh.... the nostalgia! Here's the youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vATsCy43yIg |
From her first sentence: "We were on our way to Algeria to visit family members." Just paying a visit Such a sad story. Im sure she wouldn't even want to entertain any more thoughts about "visiting" those relatives. This is one nightmarish trauma that will haunt her for life |
Christ! You were even gullible enough to give your bank details on the website? ![]() Just pray the scammers dont have the resource to empty your account. |

Check out the last statement of this eediot: “I feel so ashamed of myself because what I did was wrong. I hope the government forgives me and let me go home. I won’t do it again.” So criminals should just be forgiven... or better still, amnesty granted to you. Seriously, he deserves to be whipped continuously to within an inch of his life. The way people reason nowadays ehnn. See poverty at work! |
Probably the best advert i've come across on nairaland. ![]() |
Congratulations! It would be real interesting if one can document your life story beginning from here. To see the odds a first class law graduate had to face to make a success of his life.... Especially one who was said to break the jinx. In a country where academic excellence will NEVER guarantee you a decent livelihood. |

Pity. I hope he gets buried over there too. |
Oh, sweet nostalgia! Like most guys from my generation, the Pacesetter series and James Hadley Chase novels initiated me into the world of reading. I would bury myself in those novels and totally become oblivious of what goes on around me. Began reading Pacesetters in my primary school days, late 80s. You can still get Hadley Chase novels, but Pacesetter books are now a rarity. Havent set my eyes on a copy for over 15 years. Im gonna check out that spot at Ilupeju whenever i visit. Hope i can get some for my library. They should be collectors item now. |

This picture sums it up. For women, it is the beginning of the end. For the men, it is the end of the beginning

Africans. The most spiritual as well as the most superstitious race on planet earth. No matter the amount of prayer and supplication, there's bound to be no change if we still have morally deficient people in power. Dont expect spiritual solutions to problems that transparency and commitment can resolve. Yes, we all need God. However, God has given us that instrument to make a change if we really desire it. |
Combine poverty with a wicked heart, and watch the human race totally self destruct. Some things are just plain difficult, if not impossible, to imagine or explain. |

Wonder why man could place a barbaric custom created by his fellow being above another human's life. Im pretty certain the girl's fiance will be scared shi.tless to ever think of getting involved in another courting or marriage rite. |

Jesus! Why would a woman go to great lengths to transform herself into.... ![]() |
Let me come out blunt and straight to the point. 1: Who asks for a pay increase just 2 months on the job? I dont really see a good reason why you should expect an increase when you are just a newbie on the job. 2: You think you know the reason why your pay wasn't topped (not into designing) So, why not work on it, and satisfy yourself that you've met that criteria? 3: You love your job, and seem to have a good rapport with the customers. This, in my opinion, is a better motivation than the little pay increase you might expect 4: Quit comparing your financial status with that of your friends. It does nothing to help you. 5: Work to gain the experience, and not the pay. The experience will make you better equipped to build yourself. The marginal pay increase is just that: It's marginal, and adds little value to your person. 6: Dont quit the job. Prove yourself, then you can be on your way afterwards. If your boss then realises your worth, you could get a better offer. If he doesn't, thats his loss. Move on. 7: In today's materialistic world, money's worth has been so over-hyped. Keep a cool head, and come out smiling in the end. One love! ![]() |
