He is indeed "silent" With a microphone to announce the the "gift" of a pickup truck, how much more "silent" can he be? |
Self serving, Yansh-kissing lawyer. You were supposed to go over there and demand to know why your client was detained. Rather, you were spitting sh#t, already claiming that you think, and i quote him: "his arrest and detention is a ploy by certain forces in Nigeria in unholy alliance with the Beninoise government to keep him away as 2015 approaches." How lame can a lawyer be? |
Quit hating on her! It's called boldness. It's called idontgiveadamnwhatyouthink. It's called feast your eye quietly while cussing aloud like you do not admire the succulent, well built, well proportioned body of a black woman. ![]() |
7. Read with your feet immersed in very cold water. If you do this and still fall asleep, then your case is beyond redemption! |
Technology is blurring the line between privacy and what should be made public. Seriously. You could be sitting in front of your TV, and making out with your woman, not realizing that the hidden cam in your TV is recording it all. Yeah, it was a scene from a movie. But TVs are coming equipped with tiny webcams. I read about someone who purchased one online, without realizing the TV had this feature. |
Ah, a cheery news to brighten up this Monday morning. My coffee even tasted better! |
He took the call, told the caller he was almost there. He was told to hurry up. The woman from the kiosk told him to be wary, if he planned to acquire a piece of land there. That the police had been to the vicinity some time ago to make inquiry about missing persons! In her honest opinion, she felt such happenings could arise due to the volatile nature of land ownership and speculations in Lagos. That "omo-oniles" dont tolerate anyone trying to tussle land ownership with them. That they could kill or maim an opponent with their juju. But my guy knew better. Those men are kidnappers. They might be "omo-onile", but it would be a cover for their darker trade. He quickly left. He got a call on his way home from the same man, asking him where he is! He told the man that he wont be taking up the job offer anymore. He offered to refund the N300 he was given for his fare. At this point, the man got upset and rained curses on him. That my friend was playing them for a fool, when they were only trying to help him get a job. He had real fear for his safety afterwards because he was threatened. Moreover the men still have his contacts (from his CV) So he bought recharge card worth N300 and sent the detail by sms to the man's number, with a note of apology This event happened in 2006, immediately after his NYSC |
It is so cruel how heartless folks would cash in on this. A friend went for a job interview. I called him later on to ask how it went. He told me the venue turned out to be a seedy brothel! Right there he was given the address of a prospective customer to approach and convince to engage their (the new employer's) service. My man was in a bus, headed to an unknown address at Agbara in Lagos state. He'd been given N300 for transport fare by the two men who interviewed him. I asked him for details about the company the men represented. He replied that they didnt disclose the full info to him. They want him to handle this first assignment just so they can decide if he'd be competent enough for employment, then furnish him with all the details he needed as well as an appointment letter.... He confided to me that there was something off about the entire scenario. That the men seemed like they were in a hurry to leave. One of them kept stealing furtive glances at the exit, as if expecting someone to show up and challenge them. Told him to abort the journey. He was at Agbara by then, said he wont go directly to where he'd been sent, just scout the area, and if it doesnt look safe, he'll turn around and forget all about it. The address he'd been sent to happened to be in an area with few buildings. The street itself had less than a dozen buildings, about half of them uncompleted! The building he was meant to visit was quite isolated. Still wondering how to play it out, he walked to a kiosk by the roadside where a woman sells drinks. Bought a soda and tried to engage the woman in a conversation about the occupants (if any) of the isolated building towards the end of the street. While at it, a bike (okada) passed by. One of the riders looked familiar.... The bike stopped after the building he was meant to be at. It turned out to be one of the men who had just "interviewed" him. They parked the bike and walked further down the street, while stealing curious glances at the building whose address they gave to my friend. This is when he began to realize that his hunch had been right. He could have walked into kidnappers' den. When he asked the woman if she knows the men, she said she'd seen them often hanging around that area. She thought they are "omo-onile" cos they usually bring strangers to "view" properties around there. His cell phone began to ring then. The call was coming from one of the men to ask him if he has arrived... |
It's a new dawn, and the table has turned: "Magun" now work on men All randy he-goats who disrespect marital vows, this is for you. BTW, what is this crap called freedom of information that the messed up media is clamoring for, when they would willfully withhold the name of one person involved in an incident (the lady) while giving up the full name of the other victim? Is she still a minor? |
And thats the ugly truth. Wont be surprised if our cursed politicians dont start clamouring for a foreign coach by early next year. Not because they think it's the best move, but just so that they can corner a part of the largesse for themselves. |
Tatafo, so where's the dirty secret? ""The source told you that the story is not very good..." What story Let them iron their sh#t out. They are married, so you folks should stop speculating with innuendos. God's wrath with home breakers is very real |
You just moved from being unemployed, to being underemployed! Congrats. You just moved one step up! E no easy So, depending on your mindset, you may decide to see it as an opportunity to network and sell your qualities in a new environment, look for opportunities that could turn your fortunes around. Or, on the other hand, call it quits and march back home to continue with "mommy thank you" while hoping something befitting your status comes up. Life aint easy for us average joes without godfathers in high places. Remember the saying: "when life hands you lemons....," BTW, i heard some phd holders are queuing up to take up jobs as truck drivers in one of Naija's biggest indigenous firms. Them be human beings too. |
I wanted to say that i enjoyed your narrative, but it's contents leave me in a state of despair. Behold the evil that men has brought upon themselves. Wonder when this phenomenon known as boko haram will be totally rid of, and become just a distant, bitter memory. |
Is this same rule of law applied equally to everyone? Does this law prescribe such capital punishment (death by hanging) to a convicted armed robber, or just a specified amount of time in prison? Why does the judicial system clamp down most heavily upon the poor masses? I'm not justifying the act of robbery. Just that the punishment should be commensurate with the crime. When will those politicians who are proven crooks (even caught on cameras) get to do time for their crimes This is just plain disgusting! |
Let me quote your last statement: "What a shame! This is why we continue to have irresponsible men" You only came off sounding like a victim. Akon just gave his opinion, which does not necessarily reflect that of all menfolk. I agreed with most things he said, just as i think that many women who are into relationships would identify with most of the points he made. His final statements even showed that he is not being one sided. He said: ”I don’t know one woman who can satisfy a man’s every need. It’s impossible. Just like there’s no man who can satisfy a woman’s every need. You know what I’m saying? But, women aren’t built to have multiple partners — men are.” And thats the truth. The law of nature that makes women to bear the physical after-effect of intercourse (i.e pregnancy) also ensured that women AREN'T BUILT TO HAVE MULTIPLE PARTNERS. Look at it this way: A woman who ended up pregnant after sleeping with three different guys in one day, become confused. A man who got three women all pregnant in the same day, will only beat his chest! Sure, women can go ahead and have more than one partner. It's their choice. However, they stand to lose so much more (physically and emotionally) when compared with men who does the same. Simply because nature didnt build women that way. |
Good information. Unfortunately, most members of the police force don't know how to conduct themselves in the process of arresting a citizen. Uninformed members of the public don't help matters either. It is meant to be a two-way street. It always helps to know one's civic rights, as well as keeping a cool head. |
And just like that, you concluded that you (we) are being spied on by drones. And they are from America? I'm not trying to agree or disagree, but from your final comments, you seem to have confirmed that there are drones out there, they were sent by the American government, and that Nigeria's government is not aware of it. #yawns# |
Americans and their bullsh#t. If it were possible, they would have long carved out and claimed the Niger delta. The really dont care if Naija self destructs by 2015, as long as they can have access to the oil. |
The police man is still performing his duty as a security agent: he is securing the moneybag from harsh sunlight. ![]() |
Adapt, or die. |
The first reaction you'd feel for such a handicapped and obvious burn victim is compassion...without a clue that this particular one has got a vendetta against anyone and everyone who happened to cross path with him, especially if you show signs of of being well off. Now i'm thinking what could have happened if they realized that it was Pasuma they were trying to rob. Probably sing "Alhaji's praise and ask to be ""settled" before sending him on his way, along with few slaps. |
11-year-old Jaitashri Majumdar told reporters she almost made it through last year’s festival without getting Molested. “I came so close to not getting Molested. I almost got to the ‘molestation-free-zone’ at the edge of town, but at the last minute 9 men jumped on me and Molested me. Luckily I am just recovering now so I can participate in this year’s events, otherwise I would be put to death by stoning.” This is for real ?? An 11 year old got this kinda treatment, and it is deemed to be ok BLOOD OF GOD!!!!!! |
"I'm more afraid of the living than the dead" That is one philosophy i identify with. He might look miserable, but i dare say that the less care u have in this world, the easier life would be. |
"A panel of enquiry will soon be constituted to investigate what happened" That is the fix-all response our miserable politicians will always give. As if their wretched panels have ever made any difference in times past. Meanwhile, scores of innocent souls are sent to the great beyond every single day, while the scoundrels in power continue to leech on the masses. Such a shame. |
Solution is simple enuff. Just switch to music. By the time your croaky voice ruins too many eardrums, the yeye marketers will come pleading on their knees! Ask Osuofia, Genevieve and all others they blacklisted years back |
This jungle called Nigeria! Zero organization. Zero law! Zero respect for rule of law, even by those who are meant to uphold it. Zero conscience. Zero accountability. In a sane society, governor Obi would resign over this scandalous incident. But in this jungle called Nigeria, anything and everything goes. People die like chickens. No one is held accountable for it |
Im just plain tired of seeing pictures of her pancaked face all over the place. ![]() |

Seriously, that man who fell for this scam and continuously wired up to $40m owes his entire generation an apology. How did he even make his money if he was this gullible Chei! mumu people full for this world o! |
I think it's because few people burn woods in their kitchen nowadays, so little or no smoke is produced. Ventilation fans may be installed to get rid of smoke and fumes. Constructing chimneys in modern architecture is just for it's aesthetic, and not functional, purpose. Even in temperate climates, few people still burn wood during winter to heat up their home. Electric and gas heaters do the job more efficiently, and so there's no need for chimneys. |
Hehehehehe. Survival of the fittest in the Naija jungle. See how brazen this guys are. Displaying banners to promote their business as if it's legit. Even the average law enforcement agency have no clue about the authenticity or otherwise of such venture. Moreover, in a sane society, such a business outlet ought to have a license before operating. Here in my beloved jungle, anything goes. Enuff mugus go fall before pipu eye clear ![]() |
