PoliticsMoshood Abiola Tried To Bribe Me And This Happened. - Omoyele Sowore by whizpet(op): 2:55pm On Jun 28, 2018
By Ogunsona Peter.

Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore was on Monday, 25th of June, 2018 paid a visit to Wazobia FM in Victoria Island, Lagos. The young and visionary leader who has shown an interest to involve in the next Presidential election, has sent electric wave to the present government of Nigeria and springs up discussions amidst the elite, second-rate and youths of the country.

The former Students Union President, (SUG) of University of Lagos State spoke with dauntlessness and braveness as he narrates how he first met the clearly winner of June 12 election, Moshood Abiola. The interactive session between him and the presenter galvanized the atmosphere of the radio station and cut-down the pressures of millions of his followers on him being corrupt if he finally becomes the next President of Nigeria.

Most of the citizens of Nigeria are surfeited and have lost interest in the current state of the country due to massive corruptions that has eaten deep in the system. Omoyele Sowore made mention on how he repudiated Eight hundred thousands Naira as an advancement for him on visiting Abiola in 1993.

"When I arrived at his residence, I saw prominent politicians wanting to see him also, on citing me, he ordered his security men to let me in. I met with Abiola and he gave me Eight hundred thousand naira just to shut up. I told him I'm not here for that as I will never keep quiet until the people's will is done. He then draws me closer and said he is sorry that people have been coming to get money from him and that is the reason he is offering me same" he said.

The publisher of the renowned Sahara Reporters whom had stir the atmosphere in the last few weeks by pulling massive crowds to him just because some youths believes he is young, visionary and credible to be the next President of Nigeria. Sowore made mention on how the amalgamation has destroyed the country. "Today let us not be decieved, we are working against what should be done to resolve the problem of Nigeria. No amount of coalition can unite this country. Is Nigeria unity not negotiable? We are suppose to sit and negotiate for the progress of this country."

He further said "What Americans does is just to come to your country, gain your trust, consume your goods and wealth and destroy it beyond repair." He concluded.

Computer village, who has about 25,000 people with over 120 businesses in its disposal was visited by the publisher of Sahara Reporters, who is also aspiring for the president of Nigeria. Omoyele Sowore, who dressed neatly in a black suit with blue shirt first met with the excos of the market divulging some information to them that computer village can be the best technology site in the world "in the next 5 years, technology will be the next thing to reckon with and if computer village is well taken to consideration, it will be an added advantage to Nigeria".

The country has been operating on a lower power outrage for decades and that has been affecting the small and large scale businesses. Most Nigerians were so credulous that power is the major force if a country must strive forward. But the previous governments has been up-and-coming, promising power but fails. In his further reaction on the business market, Sowore, promised to give 24/7 power supply by embarking on solar power so as to make the 'computer village' to compete and lock horns with the rest of the world tech markets "There's no reason power should not be stable in computer village. If it were to be digital age, solar system/stations should be invented in computer village for easy access to power. And I believe with constant supplies of power, we can emulate the likes of China and the rest"

He further urged all the traders to make impacts and leave traces of significances in the lives of all Nigerians because the place cannot but be the heart of where phones and laptops are being repaired. Though, they can do better. "I challenge you to make impact for Nigerians because, you can create tools or softwares like agricultural software that can be used to partner with another farmer for sales and bargains."

Sowore can not but made his intention known to the seated crowd on his strong desire and enthusiasm to become the next President of Nigeria, giving them his statement to relieve doubt and affirmation of lifting their business to the next stage. "We know good things in Nigeria and I'm sure if the federal government has invested in computer village, it would have been one of the best tech place in the world. If given the chance, I will turn computer village into a place where revenues will be generated and to make sure some of the IT students are paired to learn from this place", he concluded.

In another news, the chairman of computer village, Mr. Adeniyi Ahmed, expressed his gratitude to Sowore for paying a call to him and the computer village people stating that he is the first presidential candidate that has done that for so many years. "I must thank you for showing interest in us and have the confidence that we can give you thousands of votes. You are the first presidential candidate of the kinds to do so and we promise to support you by giving you all our votes".

One man named Odugwu Emeka says Nigerians can't wait for a young, vibrant, visionary and credible leader like Sowore to be the next president of Nigeria. "I'm so happy that Nigeria has gotten the final answer to the kind of president we have been agitating for. We are sick and tired of old men ruling this country, people that are old enough to be in grave. How can they govern and take control of the country or propel the country to greatness?. Sowore is young and we are looking forward to vote massively for him"

The movement of Omoyele Sowore has become the talk in town amidst the large crowd of the youths basically in their 30's. This will be in air for so many months before he finally declared which party he will take.

PoliticsSowore Visits Ibadan, Stormed Venue With His Trademark. by whizpet(op):
By Ogunsona Peter.

Ibadan, the ancient city and heartland of Yoruba was rocked to her foundation on this historic day.

It was the day former students union leader and now Presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore woke up the city from her sleep. Nature was in his favour. The weather was completely cool and the sky was free from rain. Haggling market women, peasants, farmers and a huge number of students trooped to the hall with with a mix of excitement and curiosity. Many have come to associate his name with hope in place of despair.

The feelings from the already seated crowd were running high just because they can't wait to see the former vibrant student union, who led millions of students in protest against the Nigerian government in 1990s

On Sowore's arrival, the crowd rose in ovation screaming "Show, Show".The revolutionary stormed the venue with a his trademark grin saluting the crowd with his clenched fist. A huge crowd already held him hostage outside the venue which he was compelled to address.

In his speech, he assured the people of his determination to lift Nigeria from economic and political stupor.

He also encouraged them to be diligent in their work. He spoke about addressing the dwindling health fortunes of the country citing the prospect of building world class hospitals for the sake of Nigerians.

He said "I will always support you in everything you are doing and God's grace if I become the next President of Nigeria, there will be a modern market for the market women and an easy access for loans. I just need your support and your votes to make me the next president."

Speaking further Sowore said "We are in a country where children are watching their parents dying on a sick bed just because they can't afford twenty thousand naira to pay. Whenever the president and his aids are sick, they will fly out from the country in their private jets to treat themselves. What about us that do not have the money to take ourselves out, are we going to die? it is sad and this is one of the things my administration will put into to consideration."

One of the market women who spoke in Yoruba said "we are so lucky to have a young and intelligent man that will surely become the next president in our lifetime"

Speaking further the woman said "we are going to support you with all what we have so as to make sure you emerge as the president of this country. With all what you've promised us, we are so excited"

Sowore urged the students who were present at the venue to face their studies and as well get their PVCs so as to vote him when the time comes. "We need to take this country back from the looters and make the country work again. It is our collective responsibilities to do so. How many of you can boast of eating three square meal or have the assurance of better future?" He concluded.

Under the scorching sun rays, herdsmen clustered around Presidential aspirant, Mr Omoyele Sowore in Taraba and Adamawa states on Monday as the young, charismatic former students’ leader discussed the future of grazing and climate change with the Fulani young men.

Sowore took the bull by the horn emerging as perhaps one of Nigeria’s most striking and unusual personality that has risen to challenge a decadent status quo that for decades has kept millions of Nigerians trampled and exhausted.

Fulani herdsmen have had violent clashes with farmers in what local and international observers describe as the most recurrent violence in Africa’s biggest country of 170 million people.
“Im here as a Presidential aspirant that listens to all shades of opinion. Im here to listen to fears and aspirations so that together we can make Nigeria great again”, Sowore told the herdsmen after he had pulled his convoy aside to interact with the suntanned cattle herders.
One of the herdsmen who spoke in Fulbe said he was excited that “someone from the other part of the country has shown interest in listening to our own story.”

A campaign official narrated the encounter to Irohinoodua. The official said Sowore asked the knotty question if the herdsmen would love to have ranches with grass and water as a substitute to wandering for thousands of miles for green fortunes.
The herdsmen were said to be excited by the idea that would help them avoid clashes and at the same time find solutions to the cows’ needs.

Sowore has been on a weeklong campaign tours of Northern Nigeria where he has been meeting with mostly young people who represent not less than 60 percent of Nigerian voting population. Though the activist is yet to pick a platform, consultations are currently being held with him by other political parties who appear to be enthralled by the magic and electric impact his campaigns have continue to stir.

PoliticsWhat My First Act As President Would Be — Sowore by whizpet(op): 12:28pm On Jun 14, 2018
Omoyele Sowore, one of Nigeria’s 2019 presidential hopefuls, has guaranteed immediate freedom for Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria, if he’s elected president in 2019.

Mr. Sowore also said he will sign an executive order for expedited investigation into the 2015 Zaria massacre of Shiites widely blamed on the Nigerian Army.

“Our first act in office would be to release El-Zakzaky,” Mr Sowore told a packed audience of youth during a town hall event in Abuja Friday night..

He also vowed to sign executive orders to unravel those behind the deadly assault in which soldiers were indicted for killing nearly 400 civilian members of the Shiites movement.

“Everyone must get justice,” Mr Sowore said when he expanded the killings to the prevalent cases of abuses linked to state actors.

Nairaland GeneralAn Encounter With A Lady In The Bus. by whizpet(op): 12:18pm On Jun 07, 2018
An encounter with a lady in the bus.

By Ogunsona Peter.

Beautiful is just an understatement, she's tall and yellow skinned. She wore a blue Jean trouser with a pink, stripe t-shirt which makes her more adorable and good looking.

We were in a 18-seater bus which was conveying us back to Lagos. Suddenly, this lady stole the show by giving a zinger (abuse) at this young mother with two children. One should be about four years if am not guessing wrong and the other two years.

She bellowed, "don't let the legs of your baby touch me again" pushing aside the laps of the baby. I can see the expression on her face and feel the grumbling in her.

These children were properly dressed, looks prim and quite neat as a pin. Me personally, I hate it when a child is squalid and the mother might be hoping that I will carry her baby. I might not.

In as much that we don't know what the lady is passing through, emotional trauma? Depression? Family issues? Relationship issues? Nobody knows.

But, being beautiful or handsome is not the main thing, beauty will fade likewise handsomeness. If the skin or beauty you think is so special to you has an accident (mark), especially on the face, what you going to do? We've seen lots of handsome, charming guys and ladies being poured acid on or lost their beauty in a place or other.

Let's just know that fame is vapor, popularity an accident, and riches takes wing. Only one thing endures and that is CHARACTER.
Nairaland GeneralMy encounter with a friend by whizpet(op):
By Ogunsona Peter.

It was dark but you can see the glimpsing of the stars, hear the lovely songs of the birds and the tiny creatures whispering. She sat outside her room looking dejected and in low spirit. I walked up to her and demanded her to talk to me. Outside her room was two plastic chairs which I grabbed the second to confabulate.

What happened to you? Why you so displeased about life? To my surprise, her first utterance was, after today, if you like you can inform everyone about my problem also. 'Also'? If you are a good mind reader, you should know what that means.

That's how she delineated all the story to me. From how she trusted friends with her life stories and was betrayed later by the same friends. She said, "After we had misunderstanding, anywhere i find myself there is this kind of look i get from people, people that i haven't talked with, already have knowledge about my life and my past". Lots of ladies believes that they prefer talking their deepest secrets or problem to a guy, I don't know why but any which way.

The point is, In as much as you need someone to talk to, definitely there's no way you wouldn't talk your stress out. Yes, i know. All am saying is, you should choose who you want to talk to wisely. When you want to pour out your life history to your friend(s), do ask yourself first, is this person secretive? "Oh! How can I know? Am I a witch?" You can know through how the person has divulged information about other people to you. You love it when he or she gist you with another person's problem? It's fun right?, you sit down confortably and readjust your chair just to listen more. Do you think if you tell the person your life secret or story, won't he or she gist another 'third party'?

"Ah! She's my best friend from childhood there's nothing I can't tell him/her." Remember there is another 'third party' waiting out there. This is definitely the rule of three friends. Two will be more closer. You should even know which of your friends to talk the main issues with. Don't get me twisted, there is no friend that doesn't serve a purpose or the other. There are some, when it comes to gossiping, they are the best. Some are religious they will advise you with the Holy Book. Some will fight for you even when you are not around. Those ones can kill for you. The truth is, choose wisely.

We are in the society where a problem shared is not a problem solved anymore, it's a problem gossipsed about. There is different between sharing your problem or what you are passing through and narrating your life history or secret with someone.

In addendum, becareful who you share your weakness with. Some people can't wait for the opportunity to use them against you.
Nairaland GeneralWhat Can You Offer After Your Certificate? by whizpet(op): 4:39pm On Jun 06, 2018
What can you offer after your certificate?

By Ogunsona Peter.

I was in my uncle's office earlier today, I saw many young graduates from various universities and higher institutions seeking job. Some were dressed up in shirt with pant trousers while the rest were in suit all because of five vacant positions.

After so much questions and answers, they were told to go and wait till there would be notification on their phone to come back. Immediately, I was wondering how on earth would they get this position because the number was quite enormous.

There is this secretary in the office, good looking lady who told me to come closer, this was after every applicants had left. She told me to glance through their CVs (Curriculum Vitae), which I did and what I saw in the academic section was amazing. Almost 90% graduated with second class (upper division). She saw the expression on my face and said, if you can wait for about two hours all these CVs will be trashed in the bin. I was so heartbroken and filled with gloom.

The truth is, we can start our own business instead of seeking jobs that is not there. We always look for white collar jobs which oftentimes can't pay us to our own satisfaction.

Some guys have wasted so much money on irrelevant things, things that are inessential to buy at that moment. The 'just 100k' you lavished, if planned well, might have saved you from this mess you are in. Because you are lucky to come across this huge amount of money, you surmised that you no longer belong to this class, I want to move from this one bedroom flat to 3 bedroom flat in Lekki. Who told you that life is as smooth as sheet of a polished brass or as smooth as surface of a pebble?

You as a lady, you have your B.Sc, yes we know, after this certificate, what can you offer? We have thousands of people with same certificates. "Me? I can't be doing hairdressing because we have quite large number of people doing likewise or because one of my friends is doing same." Please do remember that you are a graduate that's why you can use that wisdom to supercede your friend. What's the usefulness of social media? Go online and post what you're doing. I bet you, you will never lack money. This is for the meantime. These days, men and women don't marry because you have B.sc, M.sc or H.N.D. What can you offer as a wife, as a husband? Some husbands and wives' parents do regret letting their child get married to a particular person. You are the best graduating student in your school, yes we know. what can you offer after this?

I'm shy, I don't want my friends to know that i will be selling this, since I'm a graduate, but you are not shy while having sex with that 'side chick' which is not your fiancé just because of #1500?

Some will even go on mountain to pray, fast and spend 101 days seeking God's favor without doing anything. What will God bless you for? Yes I believe in miracle, but faith without works is dead. You can't just fold your hands and be praying.

Do you know that there is this joy you have while walking to the ATM to cash out your hard earned money? Money you know that you worked for, money that is not from your uncles or aunties.

We have seen marriages broken down not because of lack of love but lack of money. There are some husbands that do not have say in his wife's family just because of lack of money.

Get something doing, look around and see what people are lacking. That's why you are you, that's why you are unique. I have people doing this, he or she doesn't get more money from it, fine, but you can rebrand it to suit your customers. The problem about us is that we do select, we are selective of the job we want. Not all of us can work in oil company.
PoliticsBuhari Should Urgently Do This Else, Nigeria May Flip Into Killing Field - JODER by whizpet(op): 4:40pm On May 16, 2018
PRESIDENT MOHAMMADU BUHARI has been urged to personally lead the peace resolution efforts based on bilateral and multinational approach to end needless killings and armed violence in many parts of the country. If the violence continues unchecked, Nigeria may slip into a killing field where the government and security agencies will become increasingly helpless.
The National Working Group on Peace and Conflict Prevention, an initiative of the Journalists for Democratic Rights, (JODER) after its mid-week meeting in Lagos said reports of violence and mind-boggling incidences of killings of people including children, the aged and the physically challenged have been grossly underreported owing to lack of access to the media and official censorship.

The meeting was attended by 30 representatives of ethnic, religious and community-based groups spread across the country.
The Working Group in a report after the national meeting said verifiable evidence from volunteers in troubled communities indicate that an average of 50 people are killed every week in the Middle Belt hotspots. It said the government appears not to have an effective peace initiative backed with an economic road map apart from procurement of sophisticated arms and ammunition.

The report was signed by Mr Akinwale Kasali, Mallam Sulaiman Sanusi and Mr Digifa Noel Werinipre. The group said following the 18-month nation-wide peace building programme with the support of the Ford Foundation, it was able to attain an important status to receive prompt and adequate reports on the killings and wanton destruction of lives which assume dangerous proportion daily.

In April, the working group facilitated a meeting of representatives of community-based groups in the South and Middle belt attended by about 120 representatives.
It urged the Presidency and the National Assembly to create a non-military multi-national and bilateral mechanism for the quick resolution of the festering crisis. The Working Group said the Federal Government urgently needs to engage community and faith-based groups in troubled spots where violence rages especially in the Middle Belt as part of the steps needed to put an end to incessant killings.

The group said apart from the constructive engagement of local groups, there is the need for a civil multinational mechanism to work out modalities towards bringing the crisis to an end. The fundamental causes of the growing crisis must be identified and the problems can be solved.
“We are in a very tempestuous situation in Nigeria. The most important ingredients of living are the sanctity of human lives, the dignity of people and economic security. These factors are fading away. There cannot be prosperity unless there is stability. The future of democracy in Nigeria depends solely on how the country can stop mass killings and protect human lives,” the group stated.

It said it had written series of letters to the Presidency and the National Assembly but regrets that no practical steps have been taken.
It observed that while Nigeria has a multi-national military framework, there is no equivalent of such trans-border community device driven by the civil population warning that the crisis cannot be solved mainly through naked military force.

It said that the crisis in the middle belt has led to too many consequences including a kind of arms race where people are ready to fight to a bitter end due to escalation of conflict arising from the loss of loved ones. There is no adequate security for community bridge builders while the violations of human rights of non-actors by security operatives diminish the prospect of public cooperation.
“Parties in the dispute are procuring sophisticated weapons to prosecute the attacks on each other. This comes as the direct effect of the lack of confidence in the security operatives who face strong suspicion of partisanship, the lack of political will to mop up illicit weapons and the absence of a neutral third party that enjoys the goodwill of the contending forces, constitute major challenges.”

The Working Group said it will continue to visit the troubled spots with the aim of obtaining useful information and ideas that will help bring an end to the fledging violence. The group plans to hold its meetings across the six geo-political zones

PoliticsThis Is What We Will Do If Oyegun Dare Impose Dr. Fayemi On Us - SOWPROF by whizpet(op): 3:53pm On May 09, 2018
Wednesday May,09, 2018

Professionals in the South West have called on the APC National leadership not to impose any candidate in Ekiti State.

The group alleged plans by the APC National Chairman, Chief Odigie Oyegun to impose Dr Kayode Fayemi on the people of the state contrary to popular will.
SOWPROF said only direct primary can resolve the impasse adding that a continuation of an exercise where delegates had been paid questions the integrity of election through delegates.

The group said the disqualification of certain people due to the Saturday fracas was partial. He said Ekiti people were surprised that many actors in the crisis were exonerated by the APC National leadership.

He said apart from disrupting the primary election, the Fayemi group stoked further crisis by sacking the entire state Executive Council and imposing a caretaker committee that has no basis in law. "They violently took over the secretariat. This happened and nothing has been done to condemn or sanction those involved."

The National President South West Professional Forum, (SOWPROF) Chief Segun Ajibulu in a statement on Wednesday said many members of SOWPROF who came all the way from the United States and Europe to monitor the election were disappointed that the APC primary fell short of global standards.

Chief Ajibulu stated that the primary was disrupted because of establishd proof that many of the delegates were camped and bribed by an aspirant desperate to win.

"What happened on Saturday May 5 was a big shame. A former Governor of the state Dr Fayode Fayemi and his agents worked hard to intimidate voters and subdue them through financial inducements and outright blackmail."

He said in the build up to the primary election, Dr Kayode Fayemi camped many of the delegates and attempted to manipulate them contrary to best global practices.

"Money was offered. The aspirants were also camped. It was a conscious attempt to exploit the economic misery of the people for pure electoral fortunes. This is quite unfortunate."

SOWPROF calls on the National leadership to punish the former Governor of the State, Dr Kayode Fayemi for stimulating the chain of events that led to the Saturday fracas during the APC primary. The group said Fayemi's supporters participated in the riotous primary that took place last Saturday. He said while agents and aides of other aspirants were sanctioned, the Oyegun-led group left the Fayemi group intact.

The professionals condemned the primary of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) which ended in chaos saying that the desperation of Dr Fayemi should be blamed for the fiasco.

The group which represents more than 10,000 Yoruba professionals at home and abroad said the lack of credibility in electoral process will create unstable business enviroment which will undermine sustianable economic development in the region.

SOWPROF said for ensuring democratic culture in Ekiti it was important that the profess was credible and transparent.
"There cannot be a progressive government in Ekiti when basic tenets of democracy are submerged by a few but ruthless gang seeking to rule Ekiti for no reason other than for revenge."

He said while some of the aspirants worked hard to campaign and educate the voters on their economic and political blueprint, Dr Fayemi was busy threatening Ekiti people that he would win at all cost either the people wanted him or not.

SOWPROF stated "We ask the leadership of the APC to conduct an extensive investigation on the remote and immediate causes of the fracas and bring the perpetrators to book. The group urged the APC South West leadership to meet with the aspirants towards the emergence of a consensus candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections. "

The right thing to do now is to disqualify the former governor for obvious compromise and corruption.

Chief Ajibulu said "The problem with Ekiti is partly because the former Governor of the state Dr Fayemi has failed to provide the required leadership and act like a statesman.

He said Dr Fayemi is overwhelmed by personal ambition instead of showing commitment to public service and the defence of the common good.

He urged Dr Fayemi to learn from Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu who had not sought any political position since 2007 when he left as the Governor of Lagos State.
