you can spend your money as you like but listen to my humble advise
if you know you are very careful with phones or you can afford 50k for screen replacement go for s8 , s8 is very slippery and fragile when you compare it with redmi note 7. most Samsung user will user their phone without pouch, since it will hide it beauty and make it more bulky.
to me I think new is more better than used, most of the used Samsung that are offered for sale are refurbished. most s8 sold for 97k at jumia are refurbished , check the product description, and I most tell you, refurbished phone is out of it
if your are considering the brand name, go for Samsung
if your are considering the battery life go for redmi
durability, go for redmi
performance and speed, go for redmi
price, go for redmi , redmi note 7 4gbram ,64gb rom is 66k while s8 refurbished is 97 on jumia
screen quality go for Samsung, because Samsung is AMOLED display while is fhd+ lcd screen.
camera, go for redmi
sound quality go for redmi.
if it is Samsung you want just go for new a30 or a50 instead of used phone that may not last

thank you. but how exactly is redmi 7 camera better than s8? portrait mode aside. and don't worry about durability. my phone has never fallen off my hand. plus is the snapdragon 675 better than 835?

what people do not understand is that when android and iOS emerged, smartphones were also just emerging. now they are fully established. harmony os success depends on its level of compatibility with android and how seamlessly one can switch between both. but even then, android will still be difficult to usurp. Google has over 10 years of experience in the is market. huawei can't beat that

Thank you for leaving an honest opinion.... The note 9 UK used remains top of my list... but reviews say that after the android 9 update, the battery became poo.. And the device overheats.... That's began to make me seek alternatives

let's not forget they have two CPU variants and there are phones that will always develop problems after updates. a certain group of people will always complain. I mean, there are people that say fortnite runs like shit on their note 9 but we both know that shouldn't be the case

you are not asking cause you want to buy any of the phones but because you're wrestling with your inner demons for satisfaction of curiosity. note 9 is the unrivalled winner there. even at second hand value, it could have dropped highest to 3500mah, and still, its unrivalled. and why the heck are the first 3 options there. theyre punching wayyy above their weight

Exactly u ve said it all. Both are great phones. U dnt really need 4x zoom or night mode. Both have night mode, they are both great but i don't see myself taking pictures in the night without flash. To use night mode one has to be still before u can capture a great shot. I own a galaxy S10 so believe me its a great phone. There are some features like the 50x AI zoom you wont be using. Snapdragon, Exynos, kirin are all great processors believe me u won't notice significant difference in performance or battery life definitely 1 is better but not so significant. This are all flagships from big manufacturers. And besides samsung is easily repairable in Nigeria. It comes with 24 months warranty. Believe i love huawei fones but I'll pick the s10+ any day. Samsung UI/Skin is better sef

I only stressed points based on what I knew about the phone specs. Simple. Ive onle watched a half first impression of the s10 and written review of the p30. That was quite a while ago. I don't dwell on phone reviews.

S10 is better for you. You're in Nigeria. I dunno why the hell someone will need 5x optical zoom. Thats just a perk in my opinion. Let's be practical. People keep taking about low light photos. 3 years ago, the pixel was King and people adored it. Today, they'll call it shit. Unless you compare photos side by side, you'll not know how bad your photo is. Unless you compare your display to another, you'll not get worried. Why do people put themselves through stress? You don't need low light photography, you want it.

The s10 is a better overall design.
Samsung is a more recognised brand in Nigeria, so any repairs you'll be doing are easily sourced.

Battery life is decent on the s10. Again, unless you compare it to another phone, you'll have no issues.


Everyother thing that may matter - display, performance... the similarities between them is negligible.

Reviewers make you think so many things matter, but in all honesty and in honor of feasibility, they don't. Don't let them deceive you. Your brain begins to register their own wants and demands as your own wants and demands. And that's why when you walk into a store, you pick an amoled over an LCD. Because 'they' say LCDs have washed out colours. And because they have said that, you want that to be your thought too.

The truth is, phones will always get better. Buy what you can afford, stay contented and happy. Watch less reviewers bash and critique phones if you know you have a low phone self esteem.

Again, I think the s10 is an overall better package. If you don't have a 5x optical zoom, you'll not die. Don't believe the lies that mono speakers sound awful and you must have stereo to enjoy content. Don't believe the lies that you must have a QHD+ resolution. Don't believe the lies that it must be AMOLED. Don't believe the lies that it must be the latest processor or have a 90hz screen or have 4k recording (something a lot of you don't use, just making noise cause reviewers say so).

You have always waited patiently for your phone to charge full before you unplug it. You won't die if it doesn't fill fro 0 - 70% in 30 mins. You see, OEMs and reviewers make you think these things are necessary, but they're not. They are just after your money.

Bro I use one ui too I know Samsung has got good display and their amoled screen game on point but one plus oxygenOS is great ...secondly update enhances phones ui from the speed to the appearance and even battery life

I'm not saying oxygen os isn't great. I'll pick it second to one ui anyday. I agree with your opinion on update. What I'm saying is that people don't usually associate updates with the ui. They associate it with the brand.

One ui is the best. People admire stock android just because YouTube reviewers worship it. Smartphone processors are so fast nowadays that the ui barely bugs them down unlike before. I'll take Samsung's customization over any ui anyday.

And updates are not considered a characteristic of a ui
