Anambra State Increases Workers Salaries, While Others State Are Looking For Bailout –
Governor Obiano says: “A few weeks after I was sworn in as your governor, we took bold steps to look into the difficulties workers were having in transporting themselves to Awka from various parts of the state. “Similarly, less than one year into my administration, we increased workers’ salaries by 15%. “I also assured you that I would do more if our Internally Generated Revenue grows.
Interestingly, we increased salaries at a time when oil prices were crashing and governments were looking for bailouts. “In spite of the prevailing difficulties, we have kept our promise to always pay your salaries regularly.”http://dailymail.com.ng/anambra-state-increases-workers-salaries-while-others-are-looking-for-bailout-governor-obiano/ |

phyllosilicate: on Buhari appointment, I can't say for now until he has constituted his cabinet. We are not been fair on Him, I think. Buhari has mostly appointed security positions and in this type of appointments, you appoint those you trust. Like I said before, I am from SS, if I am the president today, do you expect my ADC, SCO, NSA, head of DSS, Chief of Army staff should come from the North? Or you want make hypertension kill me? Jonathan appointed southerners in all this key security positions when he was elected, why people didn't notice was because he appointed his ministers along with them. @bolded..kindly name a situation whereby Jonathan's security chiefs were All southerners.... And the delegate should be chosen by their people. Jonathan just hand picked people. Less call a spade a spade. Bolded makes you both a liar and delusional... Jonathan simply selected FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DELEGATES... other delegates of states, regions, organs, bodies etc were chosen independent of federal government interference and coincidentally chairman of confab is from North... |

Can you imagine the 3 regions in the north were represented by 189 people, while the 3 regions of the south were represented by 303 delegates. With such reasoning as yours, one is forced to wish for the death of Nigeria as a country...Was all ethnic groups not equally represented?... laudate: Actually, NNPC Engineers started work on the TAM about 9 months ago, under GEJ. If funds had not been released to them there is no way, the TAM would have been successful.
Most of the work to resucitate the refineries was done under GEJ. PMB was not in power 6-9 months ago, was he? The problem with folks like Rilwayne001 & passingshot is ignorance... They do not know that the acts or laws that set up NNPC allows them to do ALL capital and recurrent expenditures before remitting balance to federation account... So you see them saying blindly that money wasn't released to them by FG... He posted two different links one in dollars another in naira...did he try doing the currency conversion?... If by dint of hardwork, engineers were able to beat deadline date...is it a crime because this is mere forecast done on perceived workload in a given project... In only two months of his governance, people are already debating hard about his achievements. I wonder what would happen after one complete year. For the ordinary Nigerian citizens, Buhari has done more than what GEJ government couldn't achieve. From fairly stable electricity to the revival of some of our damaged refineries and so many other things. These are achievements that are seen by Nigerians. Convincing people that Buhari's government has not done anything but relying on already made achievement from the past administration is not totally true..... You are not aware of Buhari blocking likages because u choose to ignore govt. Statements on the issue. Govt have rid nnpc of a ineffective board and restored close supervision of the body. You particularly criticise the GEJ administration as squandering foreign exchange left behind by obj regime. Now u criticise Buhari for amassing foreign exchange. Make up ur mind deputy chief wailer.
2. FG solved state liquidity problem by distributing bad needed funds. FG gave states regardless of their party affiliation something that poo luck never did.
3. BH has not cease a single LG since Buhari became president. This is a testament that things has truly CHANGED!
4. Buhari has since started efforts towards recovery stolen funds, Nobody should underestimate the power the US can bring to bear when it comes to this, Buhari singular 1)Kindly state the leakages blocked and how it was blocked...Because when Jonathan blocked leakages in fertilizer distribution, it was clear to all just as when he did same with IPPIS in federal civil service...Kindly state specifically where, how, and what leakages where blocked... 2)Foreign reserve was shored up at the detriment of naira...it is more of political decision than economic decision... so as to protect buhari that he's working... 3)So Jonathan was not allowing states their monthly allocations ....how ridiculous are you guys?... 4)By handover date on May 29th, suicide bombing was virtually non-existent... they simply resurfaced under buhari especially when he stopped military action against them and withdrew roadblocks.... 5)America already recovered over $140million waiting to be repatriated... Why is buhari dodging to pick it up notwithstanding that it is in line with his campaign promise and daily noise making in the media... |

PassingShot: Yeah, it will be trash to the bigots bereft of critical reasoning. I deal on facts not religious or tribal sentiments like you...Let me show where to find bigots who are bereft of critical reasoning... and I know being from Oyo state, consider yourself part of these bigots The South-West zone has 14,296,163 registered voters, which represents 19.44% of the total number of voters nationwide. In terms of national electoral strength, the zone is number 2. Taking into account the electoral behaviour of the South-West since independence, the zone has proven itself, without exception, of incapable of voting anyone other than its own. In the 1st Republic, it voted mainly Action Group in favour of Chief Obafemi Awolowo with about 69% voters’ turnout. In the 2nd Republic, it voted 78.75% of its total votes cast for UPN in favour of Chief Awolowo, with 70% voters’ turnout. In the June 12, 1993 presidential election, the pattern was repeated more or less the same, except that the total percentage of SDP’s votes in favour of Chief MKO Abiola rose up to 84.5% in the zone. In the 1999 presidential election, mainly because the only two candidates for the presidency were both from the South-West, the zone’s voters’ turnout was abysmally low (48.09%) with about 68% of the votes cast to APP in favour of Chief Olu Falaye. 2003 also recorded poor voters’ turnout with 71% of votes cast for Obasanjo’s PDP. In 2011, with no Southwestern candidate fielded by any of the major parties, the South-West voted PDP when a functional alliance with the CPC failed to field in Sen. Tinubu or his nominee. Besides, with the vicious experience of AD in 2003 when the PDP Federal Government uprooted its governments in five states of the zone, the South-West cannot now afford to risk having an opposition PDP government at the federal level again; certainly not after the hard pains and toils of forming the APC. It is therefore existential for the South-West to vote APC at the presidential election. http://dailytrust.com.ng/daily/politics/50349-2015-presidential-election-how-and-why-pdp-will-loseAdd 2015 elections too...I trade on facts...if you wanna look for bigots, visit a mirror bro |

VickyRotex: lols. Talking about the rate of divorce amongst celebrities, that's just so rampant. That I cant even say which can be justified, and which can't be.
But I think to an extent, divorce can be justified. I think some people have genuine reasons why they chose to divorce. Some women cant stick to men that batters. It's a total turn off.
Just as I stated up there, not everyone wants it, but most cases, your partner decides what you get. A case where you partner isnt ebven ready to reconcile, and files for divorce. what do you do?
Need I say, there are couples who aint staying together, but they dont see it as being divorced, cos there are no legal agreements binding it. But the thing is, they are apart. I think the Divorce is Divorce tho!
Btw, I'm not married, so there are no conditions yet. For me, battery isn't enough ground for divorce...maybe still my primitive African mentality... I had a chat with a Lady...I told her that men has their physical strength to intimidate ladies while ladies have their mouth to intimidate men...(In marriage, let the man hold his hand and let the lady hold her mouth)... I still believe that there's hardly any sufficient reason for divorce...not emotional or physical trauma that folks sing around these days...Why not stay unmarried if you can't condone or tolerate excesses of another ...Whatever you see in marriage, there must be a pointer during courtship... |

VickyRotex: Maybe I chose the wrong use of word "Destiny" But I'm sure you get my point.
I mean, it's a matter of choice, its not a must she remarries. And no one can force her to. Cos she's the one who wears the shoe, and knows where it hurts.
That asides, @bolded, remember it takes 2 to reconcile. I dont know much about what went down between her and her ex-husband. But there are cases whereby, one of the 2 is ready to reconcile, but the other would rather divorce. How do you settle such issue amicably, without resulting to divorce?
There are lots of divorcee who truly loved their partner, and wanted things to fall in place. But the other partner wouldnt want it. You cant say everyone who is divorced never truly loved their partner. Different sides of a coin.
And yea, "Marriage is about unique individuals who can never be same but chooses to accommodate and understand their differences"
You're right, not everyone understands that tho. Yea...I got your point but I simply get freaked out seeing how people justify divorce maybe I have primitive African mentality...especially the so-called celebrities... Maybe because I am too timid so I can't understand them... BTW are you married?...Under what condition will you go for divorce? |
