Our dear President Goodluck Jonathan has in the course of the life this administration, used and dropped so many words of wisdom; to which we can learn a lot from...It is food for thought for all and worthy of our meditation topics in our quite time...

1)MY AMBITION IS NOT WORTH THE BLOOD OF ANY NIGERIAN... GEJ

2)DEMOCRACY CALLS FOR SACRIFICE AND TOLERANCE, AN OPEN EAR AND A STRONG VOICE...GEJ

3)CYNICISM AND SCEPTICISM WILL NOT HELP OUR JOURNEY TO GREATNESS. LET US BELIEVE IN A NEW NIGERIA...GEJ

4)I PREFER TO SEE THE SILVER LINING IN A DARK CLOUD RATHER THE DARK CLOUD IN A SILVER LINING... GEJ

5)WE ARE NOT SWORN ENEMIES... WE'RE NEIGHBORS WHO SOMETIMES OFFEND EACH OTHER BUT CAN ALWAYS SIT DOWN TO TALK OVER OUR DIFFERENCES...GEJ

6)OUR FOUNDING FATHERS...DID NOT DREAM OF A COUNTRY WHERE NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS WOULD EXCHANGE BULLETS IN PLACE OF HANDSHAKES...GEJ

7)GOD IS A GOD OF DIVERSITY. GOD CREATED A DIVERSE WORLD FOR HIS OWN PURPOSE. WHAT WILL THE WORLD LOOK LIKE IF ALL OF US WERE OF THE SAME HEIGHT, COLOUR, GENDER, NATIONALITY AND ETHNICITY? I THINK IT WILL BE BORING...GEJ

coolI HAVE COME TO LAUNCH A CAMPAIGN OF IDEAS, NOT ONE OF CALUMNY. I HAVE TO COME TO PREACH LOVE, NOT HATE. I HAVE COME TO BREAK YOU AWAY FROM DIVISIVE TENDENCIES OF THE PAST WHICH HAVE SLOWED OUR DRIVE TO TRUE NATIONHOOD. I HAVE NO ENEMIES TO FIGHT. YOU ARE ALL MY FRIENDS AND WE SHARE A COMMON DESTINY...GEJ

9)IN PRESENTING MYSELF FOR SERVICE, I MAKE NO PRETENCE THAT I HAVE A MAGIC WAND THAT WILL SOLVE ALL OF NIGERIA'S PROBLEMS OR THAT I AM THE MOST INTELLIGENT NIGERIAN... GEJ

Tell that to the remaining Ibos who are yet to take this journey of no return with hard drugs. The criminals who broke the law will surely face the music, begging or not! This is how you people and Azikiwe JEG keep breaking the law, promoting corruption, stealing and drug smuggling. The captured ibos who smuggled drugs have most likely met their waterloo, and just now either waiting for the hangman's noose or the executioner's fiery bullets! They are Ibos anyway, just like you so it is your loss! Lazy, corrupt Ibo beings!
You're sick sincerely... I wish your owners will notice this anomaly and see if any possible solution is still availablehuh You need to be pitied by all...sorry!!!

Yes. It is well. We all want safety and security and hope for a better peaceful society. The government is doing somethings to stop the killings butit should show more seriousness and will . they should stop playing politics with security but face the threats headlong. Secure the borders. Purge the Govnt and military of all saboteurs and terrorist sympathizers. Then go after the supporters and financiers(The govt knows them). Stop corruption in the military, provide good ammunitions and welfare packages for our soldiers. Every life is sacred no matter the region. All we want is peace. cry
Thanks bro, but (1) Don't you think they're doing all of these already?
2)How do you control a parent who wraps bomb around the child to go out and kill people?
3) Is anyone inscribed saboteur on the face? don't you think it takes lots of efforts and maybe mostly after betrayals from the fifth columnists before you can detect them? By then, he has achieved his/their aim of killing?
4) Do you think any major financier will leave any trace or link to himself with the insurgents?
5)How are they playing politics with it? be explicit please...
6) Do you think as GEJ is doing government to government transaction; there is room for corruption in the military acquisition of hardwarehuh How is it possible? when individuals don't touch cash but it is solely between government and government...
7)What is good ammunition to you? Do you believe boko haram is better equipped than our military?
coolWhat is good welfare package in your own rating? Taking cognizance of our available resources and budget?
9)How do you know that government is aware of those sponsors?
10)Let your answers be practical and not academic postulations....thanks

I am critising not insulting. It is the height of hypocrisy if they don't 'protest' more about lives wasted everyday on home soil and do more to stop the killings as they have direct control over this.
Its well bro...but what would you advise them to do differently that they aren't doing currently?...

It's not an insult. It's a compliment for your annoying mentality. The rabbit is a symbol of sex and fertility, but not a very smart creature.

Stop calling sex a form of female gratitude, when it's just a bonus for the both of you. Look for payment that can add value to your life.

You are welcome.

This is the 21st century, dude, girls enjoy sex too, though they have been pretending since forever ago. Spending on a girl just to do something she'd probably enjoy more than you, and then calling it gratitude from her, is utter foolishness.

Anyway, it's her body, respect her right to decide what to do with it. Stop spending cash just to get a girl into your bed. Unless, you meet her at a brothel.
Boy, learn to express yourself without insults please...thanks for your opinion... move on!!!

Jonathan is used to granting clemency to criminals and people of questionable character. Indonesia and other Asian countries are very clear on their position on drug related offence. The Punishment is Death!!!! Very Simple! So why will someone break the law and still expect fake clemency? No society can be better with pardoning every offenders. They must face the law. Rather, the FG should ensure that the offenders/suspects are granted fair hearing and that they discourage our youths from taking to crimes both at home and abroad. Whoever default any law Should pay for it.
You must be eating and drinking Jonathan always? Does he give you orga*mhuh

Compilation of bottled anger that lacks a single positive suggestion on how to do it differently than how the current government is doing it. Anyway, its very easy to criticize and point accusing fingers at the next man...But for his like to criticize without accompanying it with constructive and maybe alternative way to resolve the said issue is to me quite appalling...it portrays partisanship than patriotism...It's his personal opinion which he is entitled to; so no harm in the way at all.

He never in the article told me how his buhari will do it better. By the way, buhari has been in the governance since 1978 or thereabout starting as a minister of petroleum then to being in the kitchen cabinet of Murtala Mohammad till he staged his own coup d'etat and came back again under Abacha... In all these, aside his divisive and somewhat treacherous presentations in BBC Hausa; what other constructive way has he improved the lives of citizens around him. Must he be president to be of any use to people around himhuh
PoliticsRe: Do We Sincerely Need Good Governance? by Whynotthetruth(op): 6:54am On Jan 18, 2015
Now barcanista, do you sincerely believe that buhari will be able to campaign much now and make much impact if not for the likes of amaechi et al who you want to distant from him nowhuh? did you not see amaechi's picture in men buhari wants to use in running aso rockhuh So why the double standard bro?

If buhari is moving round the country with chartered flights campaigning, where do you think the funds are coming from? Who foots the bills? or is it buhari's at least one million naira in his account or the 54million, Okechukwu osita said they raised for himhuh?

If buhari is better than other politicians in terms of morals, do you think he will accept offers from the Atikus, sarakis, jagaban, etchuh who're corruption personified.

El-rufai in his book;"accidental public servant" exonerated all APC guys and whitewashed PDP folks especially Atiku but unfortunately, atiku defected to APC, so I wonder what his thoughts are now about his party APC?

If buhari is against such dirty acts of corruption, why is he dining and wining with digitally & monumentally corrupt individuals? Can he come clean on how & who is sponsoring his campaigns? Is their any difference between a thief and his wife who knowingly enjoys the proceeds from such dastard act of his husbandhuh?? Isn't she encouraging him to steal morehuh?
PoliticsRe: Do We Sincerely Need Good Governance? by Whynotthetruth(op): 6:28am On Jan 18, 2015
First, @barcanista, I am anti-APC desperate seek for power. I was their fan at inception but instead of growing with time at their own pace. They due to rue for power sold decency to the dogs and fought for power without "reason". At a point, I found it irritating to read their press releases because it is always a compilation of abusive and derogatory statements.

What is the problem with PDP platform if they present a credible candidatehuh And that's my problem with folks who present APC as populated with saints and angels. What's Tinubu's history and performance while in office? How about Bisi Akandehuh Even fashola to me is overrated because his performance is NOT at par with the resources available to him? Lagos IGR is so much that we should have no business with bad roads, poor drainages, pipe borne water and other basics of life here. So where are the saints in APC? That you want me to believe that Agbaje joining PDP is now a crime punishable by shoving him aside.

I don't really want to delve into that hypocrisy of APC much but I am disappointed at folks like you who debate here day in day out accusing GEJ of bad governance while in all, what is pushing you to rain abuses on him isn't patriotism but mere desperation to control power at the centre.
Your stance on Agbaje has removed the veil covering the hypocrisy of most of you. And whatever positive rating enjoyed from people like me...because to me, let the best candidate win.
If your gross is with godfatherism, how come that you forgot Tinubu; who is holding APC Lagos by the balls, and dictates the pace and tune to all including to fashola. Or is he is now a saint?? or did he not loot Lagos blind? maybe still looting now? even with his certificate scandal? or you just wanna write Bode George off? I am not supporting George but remember, he was jailed on nonexistent law.

Barcanista, is this really about patriotism or hatred for individuals? is it about good governance or mere blind quest for power? what do we really want in this country?
PoliticsDo We Sincerely Need Good Governance? by Whynotthetruth(op): 8:58pm On Jan 17, 2015
Greetings fellow country men & women.
Sorry, I just want to summarily share my meditation with fellow Nigerians; not as a politician but as a concerned citizen, who's interested in candidates and not political parties.

Note that, this meditation was triggered by Barcanista's post on the thread discussing the outcome of Lagos governorship debates as captured by Premium times media outfit. Before now, I mistook him for one who's interested in good governance than mere party platform.

If we really need good governance; who is the face of good governance and how do you know such a person; if not through his manifesto, personal achievements, and campaign programs cum promises alongside how articulate he/she is with these.

Or is good governance rated with Rotimi Amaechi(Rivers governor), who has spent fifteen (15)years both as speaker in house of assembly and governor under PDP but moved to APC yesterday. Since then, he has been singing to us that PDP is a failure and wasted Nigeria's 16years of democracy. So is it amaechi or PDP that's a failure?

Is good governance, Governor Elechi of Ebonyi state, who was reportedly booed for non-peformance but is warming up for senate?

Is good governance cum better Nigeria about Atiku, Saraki, Rochas et cetera changing platform to APC and abusing PDP of being corrupt, while they themselves are the face of corruption in the PDP back then; and have digitalized their treasury looting method.

I fell in love in with Frank Nweke Jr's write up after being shortchanged in his party's primaries. While appreciating political parties who were lobbying him to decamp. He advised politicians who are quick to change platforms saying; because they lack patience, ideological principles, moral stance, etc they constitute the real enemies of our nascent democracy.

Is change of platform a change of character? Is it a change of "loot-cracy" mindset? Or mere desperate quest for power?

Let's vote and support individuals who have positive, feasible, & people oriented plans for us than sheepish followership of professional pen-rob*ers and parties.

Thank You and do kindly share your opinion too on the topic. What's good governance to you? Do you sincerely desire it?
