the airport is to complement the export/import processing zone. Let me break the meaning cos it is the reason you and others are condemning the airport project. The processing zone will attract foriegn and local investors who will tap the agricultural potentials of Benue by setting up food manufacturing companies in the place. It just like free trade zone where you built and put everything in place, like electricity, good road network and others. He now need an airport which is why he said it will be at opposite the processing zone. It will be combination of international, domestic and cargo airport.

There is no Airport in Benue.

The one you are referring to is an Airstrip, which is owned and operated by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) within its base.

It is primarily for Military use, and only secondarily available for civil use when approval is granted.

Airport is owned by NAF.

Airport is designated for both military and civilian use.

In 2021... a joint use agreement was signed by NAF...FAN ...and NAMA AND Nimet to facilitate civil flight..

Isn’t it to our best interest if Dangote operates independently? Free from all these union strikes? One day PENGASSAN may have an issue because their leader was slapped or woke up on the wrong side of the bed and they may call for a nationwide strike.
In that instance, having Dangote free from them means no fuel scarcity and the nation is not held to ransom. Imagine operating a 650k bpd refinery that must run 24/7 and your PENGASSAN workers go on strike for any reason, halting operations for something you know nothing about. Yet you have debts to pay and shareholders to satisfy.

In 2023, buhari was neutral and didn’t really back anyone. Now the person they are up against is the incumbent, that is a tall order. Despite the gang up of the opposition in 2015, GEJ only lost narrowly, now the current opposition is not that organised, the earlier they roll up their sleeves the better instead of grandstanding!

Most folks don't understand the power of incumbency.. it's a tall order even for an Atiku and Obi ticket esp with a president that knows his political arena.
