Now, imagine us now writing a book on these people and saying all the atrocities we think they have committed based on our own perception. Publishing it in a book means they are FACTS. Books will be read by children yet unborn.

It is natural for Afe Babalola to feel badly maligned. He is a man that has put in over 60 years into his practice. Law students that would be born in 100 years from now will read DELE's book and form an opinion. Dele started the rascality by first publishing the allegations in a BOOK, knowing fully well it won't be retrievable. He went for the man with FULL force.

He made terrible accusation about the man and published them in his book that has now gone global. That means, if those details are false, how will he retrieve the book from the thousands that have bought it globally

If we are in Afe Babalola’s shoes, and someone wrote terrible things to destroy our hard earned reputation, and have the effrontery to publish them in a book that would be read by children that are not yet born, am not sure we would take it likely. I don’t know Afe Babalola and I don’t know Dele Farotimi. I just took my time to digest the information objectively and dispassionately. I will advise us to do the same

That's the idea. This bill would make terrorism lose its appeal to the locals because it would against the wellbeing of the state.

With the locals and state government aware of the damage that would be done and absence of security votes, terrorism and banditry would die naturally or would be killed deliberately

In all honesty, the north has no reason to be poor. They have land for agriculture. That alone that drive their economy. They have to seat up and do the needful

This reform would force states to be secure and they would be literally falling over themselves to attract investors.

We celebrate things that we should be ashamed of. What is the hype about when virtually all OPEC members have functional refineries in their country.
I would not be surprised to hear that the same refinery has collapsed and packed up in few months or days from now.

Before looting, our budget for this year is 33 trillion naira. That's approx 30 billion dollars tops.

Nigerians are not seeing tangible results because the amount collected in tax is low plus oil revenue is also too low. Add looting and you get the Koko.

If government tried to deal with the above issues, it would lead to protests and riots. So the next thing is to borrow to fill up deficits.


Take our roads. South Africa has better roads than us because the roads are tolled. Nigeria? Apart from the Lekki road which is tolled, most of our roads are bad because no toll . Therefore not enough money for maintenance.

Also, most of you see government as a means to chop money. That is why holding government to account does not work here. Even of we were all the same tribe.

Take the UK. If you are living in a citeh in the UK, you pay something called council tax which can be as high as 400000 naira or more monthly. And no, not everyone earns that much to pay, so..


Nigeria, only 30% of people pay tax to government. Most don't or they pay money to suspicious entities that do nothing. Oil money is not enough for 2 million people.

If government raised taxes, taxed the 70% not paying, ended illegal mining and cut subsides to raise the cash needed, you guys will call them oppressive.

So they borrow.

This is one aspect of Dangote's business where I think he wasn't smart and calculative.

For Cement, he acquired and owns his feed stock.
For refinery, he should have acquired and owned his oil well to produce and supply his refinery. That way, he would have been self sufficient and not being made to become a content creator as seen in previous clips.
