There is no formula in all this you said up there. You can save millions today, a terrible emergency can take it all tomorrow. For me with over 15 years experience working I would advise any young person today not to focus on savings alone but to invest as much as possible from your 20s and beyond. Try to also keep money in your pension account(another way of investing for retirement)even if you have contributions made by your employer already. I personally have over 100million naira(which will still increase as time goes on)in my pension account which I can not access till I'm in my 50s.. All im saying is thàt invest more than save.
My rules
1.. Invest in Prayers..
2.. Stock market ..(Both local and Foreign)
3. Money Market and Fixed Income
4. Real Estate

Same people whose so-called religious books gloat about genociding their enemies ?

Same people whose two most revered religious holidays (Purim and Passover) are all about genociding their enemies ?

Shocking to believe they will want to seize what is left of Palestinian lands .
How did you arrive at the conclusion that Palestine folks are true owners of these lands ?

AgricultureRe: The Hidden Profit In Storage Business by Willie2015:
Superpack589:
Seriously. Not trying to run down anybody's business but some business people in Nigeria have to do better. It is not just about the money. Think about how you're negatively impacting the society. Why will somebody buy 20,000 bags of beans from the market just to store and sell later? I just think this is wickedness.
Its simply a business sense ...
and not wickedness...
These are part of the bottlenecks. ..over d years...
in the Agric Value chain both FG and SG need to address...
Eliminate harvest and drought season in the system..
Farmers should be able to produce in the rainy and dry season....
It will make no business sense to store 20 bags of beans ...

PoliticsRe: Grid Collapses 105 Times In 10 Years Despite $1.4bn Loans by Willie2015: 12:13pm On Oct 21, 2024
nairalanda1:
The thing is, we need far more than the world bank loans to fix our grid and the power sector

We also need to deregulate the power sector properly by allowing the sector to charge market appropriate prices so that they can make enough of a profit to pay for improvements and expansion and maintenance issues.

We need to stop the practice of people using power for free be it a person who lives in face me face you or a person who lives in Aso Rock.

We have a bad power sector because the Nigerian government and people do not want to pay for 24 hours daily power. They both want power for free. But the sad thing is there is no free power

I strongly suggest that everyone googles for the PWC 2019 paper on the liquidity crisis in our power sector. It would make enlightened reading.

the report is here.

See also here : 10 billion dollars required yearly for 10 years to fix power

Truth is bitter. Very bitter and unpopular
Oga..
Park well ...
Nothing is bitter here ...
Let those at the top cut the cost of governance...
And their stealing ....and do the right thing...
D level of profligacy by Naija leaders is depressing...
Buhari wasted $19 billion dollars on non functioning refineries...
Ajaokuta Steel mill gulped $10 billion dollars for a steel mill thats non functional....
Same Ajaokuta Mill still get N4.2billion Naira budget in 2024 budget..
Na so dem dey budget for am each year ...
Abandoned Tinapa project gulped $450million dollars...
Ebonyi Airport and Jigawa’s Dutse International Airport are white elephant projects...
The completed N36billion airport recorded zero passenger traffic in a year.
Jigawa dutse Airport gulped a total of 20billion, recorded a zero passenger traffic in a whole year
Rivers State monorail on which N33.9 billion already spent was abandoned...
the N600 million Minna Airport City project also abandoned....
Mambila HydroPower Plant gulped $5.8 billion dollars also abandoned......
Roughly US $1.26 billion – or .35 per cent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product ....
was paid in cash bribes to public officials in 2023...
Why do masses have to bear the brunt of inability of leasders to properly define social challenges...
and relieve masses sufferings... ?.

Be sure to see this Aradel gain maximum 10% when it is eventually listed on Monday. The promotion had been going on quite sometime now. This happens to all newly listed companies on the NGX. More so, as the listing will commence after midday, a lot of investors will be waiting for it. Maybe, I will join the bandwagon the next day as I can't just be monitoring the market until they come on board. I don't mind bidding for 100 units. grin
