The way you are going, you are bound to lose both of them. The younger sisters move was a bad move and would have implications on all 3 of you!!! wink
i dont want this to happen, i cant afford to lose both, i guess the kid sister knew the elder one was not serious with letting what ever she had for me show, thats even if she had anything, ( cuz with women you never too sure, the min you open your mouth , then they slam you with the Suprised oh NO!! , you got it all wrong speech,

i didnt set out to get into a relationship when i got employed into that office, and if i end up with a fellow collegues sister, its not all that bad, so ni cant see why she cant justaccept it and lets all us move on!

Hello All, since we are talking about  romance i thut i share this with  all of ya.
i  have or should i say had this female friend in my office, i was getting used to,but nothing serious, always playing pranks and sending mails back and fort,  u know, just acting the fool with her,  some how,  i almost started having a thing for her but i fought with  that feeling. she for one, is a very HOT chick, guys hit on her like crazy, at the office and even when we sometimes  go home togthere from work i didnt want to just join that long line of spinners. But as faith will have it, while fighting with myself,  to suppress any emotions towards her, i met here kid sister,  and instantly we fell for each other,n  she was game, she didn't hid her emotions like her elder sister who's my colleague, so whats a brother to do? other than to ask her out,  ,  the sad side of the tale is that my friend and colleague is now biffing me, we don't joke or talk as we used to,  i  tried to conceal all thats going on b/w me and her kid sister, she knows but she can't really tell how far we have gone. The problem  with her is, i know i can't  Handel her, even if i were to date her, i feel she will be a bit too much for me to Handel, even  though she by far younger, in terms of age,  she has been a good friend and a good colleague, i don't want my dating her sister to come b/w us , things might change but i don't want a biff b/w us,
Please people if you do read this , What should i do ,  because every day, 5 days a week i work with her in the same office and most importantly for me i don't want to because any hic ups b/w her and her kid sister,

So my quest is for  HELP! i don't want to lose a friend and colleague and then gain a relationship with her sister,

Supply Chain Management Goal and Challenges September , 2006

The ultimate goal of supply chain management is to completely “synchronize” every supply chain cycle with the customer’s final demands. In reality, however, the goal is difficult to meet. Most customers face two business environment challenges, the “globalization” of the world economy and the emergence of the “customer economy".

Globalization of the world economy has resulted in extending supply chains, as customers seek comparative advantage and access to new markets. The emergence of the Customer Economy has changed the way businesses respond to demand. Product life cycles are shrinking, R&grin timelines are shortening and the demand for a greater variety of product choices is growing.

The efficient management of the flow of goods, services and information along a supply chain - from the procurement of raw materials, through suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors, to consumers and end-users - is becoming increasingly critical
Focus is on order-fulfillment and demand satisfaction allowing to deliver value through service excellence.

- Further distances and longer lead times to manage
- More complicated transportation routes and distribution patterns
- Increasingly larger number of participants in supply chain
- Increased risk of the Bullwhip effect due to number of additional of trading partners
- More difficult to respond to Consumer demand in a timely fashion
- Greater chance for weather or natural disasters to impact plans
- Communication and coordination problems increase

SCM Challenge: Emergence of the Customer Economy

- Increasingly more demanding Customers
- Decreasing product life cycles and time for Research and Development
- Increase in variety of products demanded - from mass production of small items, to small production runs of many items
- More important to produce what customers want, when they want, as much as they want, and in the proper locations.
- Effective coordination among supply chain partners is increasingly important.

Customer Economy presents SCM challenges

- Customers increasingly want to work with a single provider who can manage the flow
of product and information throughout their entire demand/supply chain
- Difficulty in forecasting Customer demand
- Coordination is required throughout supply chain
- Communication among multiple partners with varying technologies
- Local optimization at different stages within the supply chain
- Reacting to changes and problems in an extended supply chain
- Information distortion and variability within supply chain
- Effective communication and cooperation among supply chain partners

Thanks ishmael, I still have an A/C with that bank, and infact had promoted one of their products D- tap to such a level that some of my friends opened  same A/C with diamond, I never knew they have such an anit HND qualification stance, I will close that account ASAP, and not just closing it, but I will give them my reason for doing this. When this is done I will make sure I post their respone on nairaland.

But sad enough, i don't think many HND holders themselves are not passionate about making a change for themselves, some seem not to just give a damm, they just take it as they see it.  its a shame, a real shame!!

Thanks @ kitaun.
there no response yet, but my aim it just to speak out in my own little way, if i get a response fine! if i dont, thats still ok. Most importantly i just want them to know, that whats going on by totally leaving HND graduates out ,is not in the best intrest of us all

If any organisation must recurit BSC holders only, i think they should also have some sort of recuirment exercise where they also recuirt HND graduates only. as at now i think only Chevron has done such in 2004.

Might i add this, if you Hold a HND qualification, and a bank prides its self that it can not employ HNDs or has no HND holders in its Staffs. I think such a bank dose not deserve your deposit in any way, and make sure if your in the position to chose how funds within your organization or where you work moves around, those kind of bank should be singled out.
What goes around must come around, if a set of people for what ever reason, are not good enough for you, then also i think such bank don’t need your money.

Help change of attitude towards- HND

Hi all, rather than, debate the long never ending and sometime unnecessary argument about HND or BSC.
You and I Help in your own little way to spread the change of attitude towards holders of this Qualification, at least let organizations give, HND holders like BSC graduates the opportunity to apply for jobs in there organization and take test, rather than completely sidetracking HND out right from the point of advertising the job opening, example the recent and on going NNPC recruitment exercise, If they fail they fail… only let the best man win, that fair enough.

See the mail below…. Am sending it to major organizations, you can do same , I have sent it to NNPC and SHELL already,

Goodday to you Sir
My mails is short, because I know you must be a very busy man, I will like to ask , that NNPC and its associate company in Nigeria treat Polytechnics graduates with the Higher National Diploma (HND) qualification with a little fairness in comparison with the Graduates holding a Bachelors degree.

The recent recruitments exercises all seems to excludes HND qualification holders,.

It’s only a plea for concern and change of attitude to the teaming well read and technically sound, but unfortunate holder of HND qualifications seeking to contribute their skills and Know-how to a world class company like NNPC.

Thank you for your time.

Best Regards

Sent to
SHELL

Supply chain management (SCM) is the combination of art and science that
goes into improving the way your company finds the raw components it
needs to make a product or service and deliver it to customers. The
following are five basic components of SCM.

1.PPC (Production Planning)
2.Purchase (Sourcing/Vendor Development)
3.Production (Manufacturing)
4.Despatch (Delivery/Logistics /Warehouse )
5.Stores (Receipts/Issues/ Storage)

A supply chain is a network of facilities and distribution options that
performs the functions of procurement of materials, transformation of
these materials into intermediate and finished products, and the
distribution of these finished products to customers. Supply chains
exist in both service and manufacturing organizations, although the
complexity of the chain may vary greatly from industry to industry and
firm to firm.

The group is created with multiple purpose of serving Job seekers in the
field of Purchase/Materials management on one platform and benefit Job
seekers, Employers / Recruiters.

CareerRe: HND Certificate: An Embarrassment? by wills(m): 8:10am On Aug 30, 2006
HND, BSC… what are we talking about here, its not really the difference, but the whole lopsidedness of the educational and certification structure. Polytechnics , University and even colleges of Education graduates are all trained to fit into different palaces in a co-operates
environment( Public or Private) Polytechnics being more practical oriented are supposed to be tutoring engineering and physical sciences more than basic studies at least 80% of Polytechnics coursers should be in the engineering and physical sciences but now , in most schools that’s not the case.

That aside, in a working environment, an engineer is supposed to do a different work from a Designer or technician and that’s how its is with other functions, what I think the real problem is is renumuration and development, the EVIL!!!! being done Polytechnic graduate is not just that you come a grade or two lower than a university graduate in public or even private companies , they also put a cap or ceiling on your career when you get to a particular stag, while your colleagues from university go on.
I have seen case where even after going to develop ones self after your HND to obtain a masters and other professional qualification, you are still discriminated against just cuss you had a Diploma in the first instance and not a degree, this kind is most common in the educational sector.

The solution to this is simple, take all the limitations away from a polytechnics graduates path to career development, even if he comes into an organization lower than or equal to his degree holding colleagues, don’t “HOLD HIM DOWN” let everyone prove what they are made of, university or polytechnic then appraise based on performance and not some piece of paper.

I have an HND, and its No embarrassment to ME!!, I carry myself with that Pride i earned it, it cost me MONEY and a whole 6 YRS of Mylife, so i wont use my own mouth to take that away, its all about getting educated and i thank God i got to this level and have even moved above it,

So if you have an HND qulification, try and live above that discrimination, anywhere you find yurself, and make sure your own Kids dont attend one!!
