Hey ! Man! It was just a joke was just trying to put some spark on this tread, so don’t hate on  a player hater.

Such encounters do occur, just like the one you had, but the search now is like looking for a niddle in a hay stack , how on earth are you going to finds this girl, the chances that she is on Nairaland is like  1 in 200000.

So heres what I will suggest, why not try Hi5 its pictoral, you can limit your search to females located in PH, maybe just maybe u might see her.

Do keep us posted, this is one story I will love to see the end.

My apologies for the last post.

@Mauri, Thanks a lot, you see this issue from the bigger perspective, its not just about the death of this young man or if NB should be dragged to court in a 100M law suit.

Its about NB and other companies to become more responsive to the needs of  Today’s Nigeria, I think a scholarship or some kind of youth development program will go a long way to achieve a far better thing for the common good of the Nigerian youth , than any”Ultimate” search would.

Let just imagine this guys death happened at a Youth career development program or some other kind of youth development boot camp being organized by NB,  I for one wont be crying crucify NB, but as it stands now am one of the people shouting nail NB.

I know they are in business to brew products, sell ,make a profit for the benefit of its shareholders and the good of the employees, and must market, promote and advertise their products ,but it dose not end there, for any good organization they MUST show some form of community responsibility, and so far the way NB has chosen to show that societal responsibility is in ways to promote there product , eg Star quest, Star mage Jam and the Ultimate death, opps! Sorry search, just entertainment well life is not all about entertainment, (jams and reality TV.) NB should also shove some of that much need money into the Nigerian brand (you, me, and everyone)

PH and the entire rivers state is fast becoming a Lawless city, God save us all.

Odilli, was losers Omehia , the Present Gov, is pretty much the same,.

Cult shootings claim 11 lives in PH
TIDE
Fear has gripped residents of Port Harcourt metropolis as incessant shooting which started Monday has so far, resulted in the death of at least 11 persons including a cleric, Pastor Oliver Nwagbo.

The shooting which continued yesterday is believed to be the handiwork of rival cult groups terrorising the metropolis.

Other victims identified as at press time include, Mr. Lawrence Teeh and Mr. Uwazurike Ochor, while others are yet to be identified.

A source at the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMSH) Port Harcourt where the corpses were deposited confirmed the figure to The Tide.

According to the source, seven victims were felled at Eleme junction, three at Mile One area of Diobu and one at Borikiri area, all in Port Harcourt metropolis.

Speaking during a telephone interview, the Head of the Pathology Department of the BMSH, Dr. Charles Amakiri confirmed that some victims of gun shots were brought to the hospital on Monday and Tuesday, but could not confirm the actual number of the dead.

However, the Rivers State Police Commissioner, Mr. Felix Ogbaudu confirmed that at least three persons lost their lives during Monday’s shooting in Port Harcourt Township and Diobu axis of the state capital.

Mr. Ogbaudu made the confirmation while speaking with newsmen in his office yesterday in Port Harcourt.

He attributed the shooting to clashes between two rival cult groups in the state, saying that the men of the state police command had taken control of the situation by chasing the miscreants out of town.

The police boss said his men will not relent in their efforts at ensuring that lives and property of citizens were protected and enjoined all to go about their normal business.

Mr. Ogbaudu stressed the need for people to be law abiding and be patient with the government, adding that they should not take the laws into their hands.

He blamed the high level of unemployment as the major cause of youth restiveness in the state but commended the Rivers State Government for assisting the police in the maintenance of law and order in the state.

Meanwhile, an unconfirmed source told The Tide that about eight persons were shot dead at Iwofe, Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area yesterday, while sporadic shootings continued yesterday at Abonnema Wharf, Njemanze Waterfront areas of Port Harcourt

Alos:

My dear Wills.I read your piece and wonder what part of this planet u live in.Do u work?because if u do,and especially in a place like lagos, then you would know that surviving day-in day-out in itself is a very big risk.At this stage i can only say that proper investigations be carried out to ascertain the cause of death, and if necessary safety measures were put in place by NB,if not then they should bear the consequences.

Back to my point, making a living is a very big RISK,do u know what it means to leave your home at 5am every working day?well, ask lagosians, and then for how much?not to mention having your car break down on the third mainland bridge at night.have u eva been in a "molue"My dear i never heard a company pay for the result of such encounters.

Do u know how many people competed and lost to get on the Search?well, they carried their bags and went home.

The young man in question had his eyes on a whooping 5million + a brand new car etc for a 3 weeks challenge,i bet u,he considered the RISK, but he knew the difference winning or simply participating will make.if u doubt this, ask Timi the Idol. i don't work for NB,I don't have friends or family who work there either so don't think i'm being sentimental.

The simple truth is that this is a REALITY SHOW and in real life people die my brother,so let us Mourn and move on.This is Life.

Anybody that has lost 'Liver' should go home,

Abeg who knows when the TV show will resume,we are waiting,

My dear Alos, I live in a part of the planet called africa, Nigeria to be specific and if you must know, i work and have lived in not one, not two but 4 major cities in nigeria and i know all about surviving. Even as i write this, i know people die , take for example in a city like PH where some selfstlyed man looking like rambo take to the streets in a lawless manner fighting each other for cult supremacy and end up killing innocent people, so yes i know people can die, but thats not the issue here, it goes more than just the death of this young fellow.
My point is that NB is very much unpatrotic in its dealings as a co-oprate citizen.
Its taking the death of this young man to bring it to the fore.

Alos:

My young man, i think this is rather a harsh statement, show some empathy, even people in iraq that see death everyday have not taken into Despondency and by the way, while you watching the show, when ever it resume just have it in mind that it took one life to get this far this time around.
TV/Movies / Re: Gulder Ultimate Search 4 (IV)! by wills(m): 10:25am On Aug 08, 2007
Anthony Ogadje, 25 a ,young man, in his prime dies, now how real can reality get. Gulder Ultimate Search
People keep asking, where was every one when this young man was drowning? Well if you are a swimmer, you will know one thing, it takes very good skills as a swimmer to save a man drowning, and if you have seen the young man in question he is quite muscular, saving him might have gotten his rescuer drowned too, if such a person is not an expert swimmer, so the questions I Put to Nigeria Brewery Plc, is this, where they qualified life guards on site? If yes what did he or they do?

I believe before the Young man went into the water maybe he could swim, even a swimmer can drown, he might have had a muscle pull, severe cramps or some other attack ,also learning to swim in still waters like a swimming pool and then swimming in a water with current is a different thing, one cant really say how this very unfortunate incident happened

Nigeria is a country where, just because the law is just the law and nothing else, Cooperate Bodies and organizations, like Nigeria breweries, “Rape” the citizenry. This is just my own sentiments and its not because of this unfortunate incident,  I believe  the alcohol  brewing companies  in Nigeria especially Nigeria breweries,  are the Most inhuman organization, all they care about is Profit and more profit, while getting Nigeria high on beer.

The Gulder ultimate search was not about showing how strong and daring Nigerian youths are, it’s all about NB, eating deep and gaining even more grip on the minds of every young Nigerian, its simple gimmick to have us sleep, eat, and think Gulder. See the adverts on TV, heavily built Gulder drinking men, jump off a chopper on an Oil platform and save the day, by putting out a blow out and the resulting fire. If its Star lager beer,  a bunch of young guys and girls , end up having a party in the middle of nowhere after one of them, as he puts it “am out of fuel”.

I happened to see a picture of the crowd that came for the screening for the Gulder Ultimate search and the sight is just another sad reminder of the fact that Joblessness is at an all time High in Nigeria,  the truth be told the same people that NB plc, wont Hire just because they are not qualified enough to work for them, are the very same people they Put in front of the TV screen and call heroes in an ultimate search for What?, I don’t Know. If you doubt this assertion, let them show us how many ex-ultimate search veterans are now staffs of Nigeria breweries

Reality TV, the craze in Nigeria Now, and it is was just a matter of time before the Nigeria factor kicked in, and it just did in a rather unfortunate way. My heart and condolence goes to the family that has lost a young man.

The question is who or what body is ment to regulate such shows, to see that the contestants are not just being used for pure publicity and advertising stunts, and at the end of the day lose out.

How come all the alcoholic brewing companies operator like they have no regulations guiding advertising of their products or show they put on TV. Nigerian Breweries, which is majority-owned by the Dutch giant Heineken's, I bet this show will run with a lot more preparations, funds and regulations if it was in the Netherlands

Nigeria is in dire need of a private sector that will be actively involved in helping government with certain social and environmental responsibilities, ( renovating schools, waste disposal units, traffics and road signs etc, PLEASE enough of these reality shows, enough of the TV and radio jingles.

5 million naira ($39,000) in cash, a four-wheel drive jeep and another 500,000 naira to buy clothes and that makes you a hero, that’s one hell of a hero if you ask me.

I wait to see what will become of this case, will it be the turning point for NB and its like that all they think about is profiting , or will the public out cry make the government and relevant authorities put some tighter controls on these so called Reality TV show, and promotions, only God knows

The test comes in this format, its called Logical Indicator 1 and 2, its 50 questions in each part, to answer in 12mins each, the logical indicator one is a sort of prep to help you familiarize your self with the questions and learn how to gain speed in answering questions, Logical indicator 2, seems to be the real thing and should be taken under the same 12 mins.

Try your best to get as many questions right as much as possible, the questions are usually aptitude question, you really need to reason and have a keen sense to identify shapes and also compare and contrast certain types of statements.

Its pretty easy to pass and easy to fail also, so just be sharp and work with speed.

The final part of the test is a personality test, according to them there’s no right or wrong answers in this test, the personality test is just to get to know your person and see how u fit into the job, its has 50 personality questions and you are just to tick the statements that best describe your personality types.

Expect your test result fast too, also possible in the evening of that same day, so check your mail

Wishing you all,……, all the very best.

@Bebe2007, for a sec there  i thut, you are the lady am dilly dallying with at the moment, until U started talking about the guy being all Cute  n nasty, cute yeah but me am not nasty at all.

Rite now am in a situation myself, I have a gurl n we got this little thing going, and lately is sort of getting deeper than we thut, or wanted it to go, she has a guy and her man is as she says faithful and nice to her, but the guy sometimes beats her when ever they have issues but he always comes back begging when she calls it off, i guess that’s why  she fell so easly for me when I ran into her, cuz i showed a lot of care and am far way too matured compared to her man.

I have helped her build her confidence as a young lady and have also tutored her on career development also help her in her job hunt, now she is on the verge of working with a very good oil and gas company
She love her man dearly , but now tells me that am making her have a rethink especially now that she and her guy have some issues again.

I cant lie, am getting attracted to this gurl too, something I told myself I wont do since I know she has a guy already, she young, a cuty and smart too, but I feel i just cant have her,  so I had to tell her to work things out with her man  cuz like i told her,  you jus don’t give up on 4 yrs of relationship .
Wel the problem is that i like her, but i know she not mine , its not that i cant have her,   i find it hard to jus do that .  and I don’t want to use her mans weakness as an excuse cuz I have mine too

So just like u, am in this fix, do i take this girl from her guy? cuz i know all i have to do to make that happen and happen fast, or should i just be a righteous dude and settle for a friendship with this gurl, she really likes me too and i can see that its killing her being cut b/w too guys.

So fellow and ladies, While u dealing with @bebe questions, throw in a little word on mine……will love to here what u have to say.

Olokola Deep Seaport and Free Trade Zone .

Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has said that the newly established Olokola Free Trade Zone in his territory, is a step to boost export business in Nigeria, with its peculiar rules and regulation.

The governor made the remark in Abuja at the formal signing of Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) on multibillion dollars Olokola Liquefied Natural Gas (OKLNG) project between Ogun and Ondo state governments, the joint owners of the Olokola Free Trade Zone, and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Chevron, Shell and British Gas, who are the promoters of the project.

He added that the project would also serve as a major boost to the country‘s economic development.

Before signing the document, Daniel described the project as a major milestone in the determined efforts by government and other major industry players to ensure that Nigeria taps its God-given natural resources to the full benefit of its citizen and overall development.

He praised NNPC for leading a consortium of tested players in the oil and gas industry to bring to realization a project that is expected to develop the country’s total gas stock and bring development to the area.

He assured OKLNG management and other potential investors of the determination of the Ondo and Ogun State governments, to ensure that investors operate in a peaceful environment devoid of crisis.

To make this possible, he said the owner-states have continued to carry the people along and they are treated as joint stakeholders of the project. He assured the people of the area that his government would step up the provision of needed infrastructures and other amenities that would guarantee a better standard of living for them.

The governor described Ogun State as "a veritable factory of skilled manpower that would be readily available for the different players in the FTZ. With ten higher institutions our state regularly turning out a considerable number of available manpower that are waiting to be further trained and engaged for productive activities."

The Managing Director of the Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority, NEPZA, Mr. Shina Agboluaje, in his own remark, said the coming of the OKLNG to the zone would attract other major industries that would altogether boost economic development of the two owner States and Nigeria.

The Group Managing Director of NNPC, Chief Funso Kupolokun, said the signing of the memorandum has given a new impetus to the development of the OK-LNG project as it "provides a fiscal and regulatory framework as well as support facilities and services that will enable the project to be developed and implemented smoothly".

Kupolokun who is also the Chairman of the project’s steering Committee described the project as strategically important as it would enable Nigeria achieve its national policy of aggressively developing and monetizing its abundant gas reserves.

He commended governor Daniel whom he described as a trailblazer in all ramifications for working assiduously to see that the project became a reality. The NNPC boss predicted that the OKLNG project would bring a wide ranging, far-reaching, long term benefit and opportunities to the country. He said one of the key benefits is its potential to provide gas for the country new gas –fired power plants that would provide additional electricity generation capacity.

The OK-LNG initiative according to the project director, Dr. Funmi Coker would at the construction stage, scheduled to begin next year (2007)require a manpower of between 8000 and 10,000..

This is by no means the one of the biggest project in recent times in ogun/ondo state and has enormous potential for Employment during the project execution stage and the  when the  LNG Trains/ FTZ is actually up and running.

So people in the House anyone that has an update as regards Recuriments /employment/Hire/contracts ETC, please post such details on the Job and career sections.

CISA Certification Overview
The mark of excellence for a professional certification program is the value and recognition it bestows on the individual who achieves it. Since 1978, the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) program, sponsored by ISACA®, has been the globally accepted standard of achievement among information systems (IS) audit, control and security professionals.

The technical skills and practices that CISA promotes and evaluates are the building blocks of success in the field. Possessing the CISA designation demonstrates proficiency and is the basis for measurement in the profession. With a growing demand for professionals possessing IS audit, control and security skills, CISA has become a preferred certification program by individuals and organizations around the world. CISA certification signifies commitment to serving an organization and the IS audit, control and security industry with distinction. In addition, it presents a number of professional and personal benefits.

Worldwide Recognition
Although certification may not be mandatory for you at this time, a growing number of organizations are recommending that employees become certified. To help ensure success in the global marketplace, it is vital to select a certification program based on universally accepted technical practices. CISA delivers such a program. CISA is recognized worldwide, by all industries, as the preferred designation for IS audit, control and security professionals.

More than 50,000 professionals have earned the CISA since inception, so clearly many people agree: earning the CISA is a good career move

The examination is open to all individuals who have an interest in information systems audit, control and security. All are encouraged to work toward and take the examination. Successful examination candidates will be sent all documents required to apply for certification with their notification of a passing score. For a more detailed description of the exam see Exam Information. Also, CISA Exam Preparation resources are available through the association and many chapters host CISA Exam Review Courses (contact your local chapter).

You may also request a BOI by completing the online Request for Information form or by emailing your complete mailing address to certification@isaca.org. You may register online or by completing the registration form within the BOI and faxing or mailing it to ISACA for processing. For registration dates and deadlines please see the Exam Information page.

2. Experience as an Information Systems Auditor

A minimum of five years of professional information systems auditing, control or security work experience (as described in the job content areas) is required for certification. Substitutions and waivers of such experience may be obtained as follows:

A maximum of one year of information systems experience OR one year of financial or operational auditing experience can be substituted for one year of information systems auditing, control or security experience.
60 to 120 completed college semester credit hours (the equivalent of an Associate or Bachelor degree) can be substituted for one or two years, respectively, of information systems auditing, control or security experience.

All experience must be verified independently with employers.

3. The Code of Professional Ethics

Members of ISACA and/or holders of the CISA designation agree to a Code of Professional Ethics to guide professional and personal conduct.

4. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Policy

The objectives of the continuing education program are to:

Maintain an individual's competency by requiring the update of existing knowledge and skills in the areas of information systems auditing, management, accounting and business areas related to specific industries (e.g., finance, insurance, business law, etc.)
Provide a means to differentiate between qualified CISAs and those who have not met the requirements for continuation of their certification
Provide a mechanism for monitoring information systems audit, control and security professionals' maintenance of their competency
Aid top management in developing sound information systems audit, control and security functions by providing criteria for personnel selection and development
Maintenance fees and a minimum of 20 contact hours of CPE are required annually. In addition, a minimum of 120 contact hours is required during a fixed 3-year period. Upon completing the requirements for initial certification, the CISA will be provided with the CPE policy booklet for detailed criteria to be used in developing a personal CPE program.

Ibb, Never Again! THATS WHAT I SAID!, and that’s what’s happening, IBB steps aside, what ever the reasons he is giving as flimsy as it sounds, to me it don’t matter, what matters is that HE (IBB) is out of the race for now and forever, So for once i too think this man has done one wise thing, Otherwise, i know he would not have survived 8yrs as the president of the great country Nigeria.

My prayer now is that, the right man for the Job, with a heart of service and the know -how to manage the wealth and people of this nation in the best possible way, wins the fort coming presidential elections.

For all the crooks that still want to put Nigeria in side their pockets, it wont work, you have had your share of the never finishing national cake, go and eat what you have, leave what’s left for the masses and the future.

That’s our prayer, that’s the goal, Let’s for once see a Nigeria we can all truly say “Things are getting Better"

Jobs/Vacancies / Money Maker (try It)-----agloco's Story Is Simple by wills(m): 1:36pm On Dec 07, 2006
Dear friends,

I recently joined AGLOCO because of a friend recommended it to me. I
am now promoting it to you because I like the idea and I want you to
share in what I think will be an exciting new Internet concept.

AGLOCO's story is simple:

Do you realize how valuable you are? Advertisers, search providers and
online retailers are paying billions to reach you while you surf. How
much of that money are you making? NONE!

AGLOCO thinks you deserve a piece of the action.

AGLOCO collects money from those companies on behalf of its members.
(For example, Google currently pays AOL 10 cents for every Google
search by an AOL user. And Google still has enough profit to pay $1.6
billion dollars for YouTube, an 18-month old site full of content that
YouTube's users did not get paid for!

AGLOCO will work to get its Members their share of this and more.

What's the catch? No catch - no spyware, no pop-ups and no spam -
membership and software are free and AGLOCO is 100% member owned.
Privacy is a core value and AGLOCO never sells or rents member
information.

So do both both of us a favor: Sign up for AGLOCO right now!
