Inasmuch as i hold the retired General in high esteem and admire his transperency and disciplinary atribute as it relates to corruption during his reign as Head of state,he is beginning to annoy and irritate me with his new found hubby of talking without thinking.He is begining to sound childish and unexposed.He has no single regard for the seat of the presidency,yet he wants to sit there.Buhari is insensitive and its making more foes for him,and i doubt him coming out even 4th in the next election if he eventually get to contest.The general fall my hands this time wella.He should stay away from the mic or gatherings of discussion till futher notice if he still wants his prestige and respect intact.Otherwise with the way he is going,he may be humilliated soon by the SSS.

This is a matured step from Gov.Amaechi,though i feel the heat is bcoming much on him.He must be a very sensitive guy.

Only sane minds and people of note knows and acknowledges Achebe's worth.He didnt run after honours and glory,they came running to him,and most times he rejects them.But whom God has blessed,no man can curse.The world crowned Chinua King and father of modern African literature,and so shall it remain.Nobody can take it away,they can only hate.Chinua Achebe lives.God bless his soul.

The general (rtd) is quite right.Its only those that haven't witnessed real war will be clamouring for it.But in this case i dont really blame Asari completely,he only re-echoed what Kaita and Ciroma said in the build up of the PDP primaries 2011,so its actually the north that is pushing this country to the brink of war.And pls this is not 1967,alot have changed.If there should be a war in this country again,no one,i mean no one will survive it,and even the last man standing will be in vegetative condition.The war wont even last upto 6 months,but the devastation will take decades to repair.Wheather north or south,nobody should be calling for war,otherwise 1967 will be child's play.It wont be Nigeria vs biafra,it will be Nigeria vs Nigeria.We need peace,equity and justice please.Thanks

For pete's sake that book was a memoir,check up d word memoir in ur dictionary please.A man wrote down his personal experience and he is termed tribalistic?I believe it takes tribal bigot to know one.One thing i've come to realise that igbos share with hausas/hausa fulani is the ability to call a spade a spade.They dont mince words.They tell it like it is.No wonder only a particular tribe has been d only people hurting themselves over the said book.Most people haven't even seen d book,talk more of reading it,yet they follow the bandwagon of critics because they heard he painted their so-called hero in bad light.Achebe is a great man,and a great man he will remain.Wheather d whole country come to bury him or not,it doesnt take away his worth.Afterall he rejected d political gestures and favours thrown at him while he was alive,so even if its only the Achebe clan coming to bury him,he will continue to rest in peace.God bless Chinua's great soul.

I never envisaged that a day like this would come that i'll agree with you (insincerenigerian).You are spot on on this very one.It came as a rude shock to me actually when i read about the ACN's disapproval of the president's long overdue directive.I use to hold d ACN in high esteem,infact i saw them as a lesser evil to pdp,but after this avoidable blunder from them,i cant help but think that they are worse of.When it comes to matters of security and natural disasters,u just dnt play politics with it.Everyone comes together and solve the problem and then go back to their respective camps afterwards.Afterall its supposed to be country first.ACN really misfired this time,and every sincere Nigerian will not support them this time.Btw,what is CPC/APC saying on their own parts,since this is ACN talking?I doubt if Buhari will support the ACN stance.If he eventually does,then Nigeria doesnt have an opposition to PDP yet.
