Politics › Re: Tinubu Appoints Three New NUPRC Executive Commissioners by wink2015(m): 8:00am On Nov 08, 2023
South South leaders should not leave Asari Dokubo to do all the talking.

They should continue to critize Tinubu in areas he is not doing well.

There should be even representation in his government with development initiatives spread across all parts of Nigeria.

The South South geopolitical zone bears the environmental pollution of crude oil exploration community.

NDDC, DESPADEC, ETC IS NOT THE SOLUTION.

THERE SHOULD BE RESTRUCTURING AND RESOURCE CONTROL FOR MEANINGFUL DEVELOPMENT TO TAKE PLACE.

When it comes to federal appointments it is either the northerners and the yoruba gets the lion shares with some distributed to the Igbos.

But with nothing for the South South people.

IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO SHARE FAIRLY THEN LEAVE THE REGIONS TO HARVEST THEIR RESOURCES FOR THEIR OWN DEVELOPMENT.

UNITY UNITY !

WE ARE JUST DECEIVING OURSELVES IN NIGERIA.

It is a fraud.

I have said it several times. Implement true federalism. Unbundle the national grid nonsense.

Every state should look for means to generate power or buy from a neighbouring state.

How can states in faraway North be supplying power to the south when the south has gas in abundance?
You have said it all.

Nigeria needs true federalism for progress to be achieved.

I support your recommendation for southern states in Nigeria to look beyond the so called national grid that the northern state of Nigeria state want to use to be included for 13 per center derivation.

More reason why NIGERIA should be divided into regions.

Let every region develop itself instead of using a particular regions wealth to develop one particular region.

From this article, Nigeria is actually better divided than one.
Thanks for stating facts.

It was JONATHAN an IJAW man that threw away the southern presidency.

He lack the boldness and intelligence to hold it and use for the development of Nigeria.

An illiterate called Buhari defeated him in 2015 election.

Or you also believe he should be giving him 25% every month?
IJAW people especially their men are known for their ingrate.

Even Oga Jonathan has that character and he did that to Obasanjo.

After, Baba Iyabo picked him to run for Vice President.

Fubara should try and understand that Wike needs support from him now that he want to grow his political profile in the federal level.

When IJAW man get to the top their character change over night.

This is great news! However, we cannot continue to borrow money to strengthen the naira.

Look for means of selling our cash crops and selling our oil/gas and other natural resources to rev up Nigeria's USD (since dem use foreign goods swear for us).
There is nothing bad about Nigerian citizenry consumption of foreign goods.

It is part of their basic and democratic right to consume foreign goods.

The big economy of the world that is China, USA, Great Britain, etc also import foreign goods which their citizen consume.

Foreign goods are supposed to compete with local goods in the market.

It is the government that is not playing smart to create a competitive market for both foreign and local goods.

In most countries of the world including Nigeria, the government put taxes on foreign goods which the consumers pay for their special taste.

But in Nigeria the local goods producers despite the cheap labour they are giving in Nigeria faced other challenges like poor electricity supplies.

Nigeria can not afford to practice autarky due to the fact that we want to build our economy.

Buhari ban foreign goods but the economy still got worse.

Nigeria overdependence on crude oil is the cause of the weakening Nigeria naira.

NORTHERNERS MUST FACE MECHANIZED AGRICULTURE TO GENERATE REVENUE.

This is not the time to wait for federal government allocation to run state affairs.

They have the huge landmass for Agriculture than any other regions in Nigeria.

Other regions will also join in with the small land in their region.

Nigeria political leaders should reduce corruption and the high cost of governance to save the Nigerian naira.

WHENEVER THERE IS A CALL FOR RESTRUCTURING OR BREAK UP ( SECCESSION )

NORTHERN POLITICAL LEADERS ARE ALWAYS THE FIRST TO BE AFRAID.

WHY MUST THEY BE AFRAID WHEN IT IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FREE THEMSELVES FROM UNDERDEVELOPMENT AND TO GO INTO THE WORLD STAGE AND BE A MAJOR PLAYER.

SMALL UKRAINE THAT IS DEFENDING ITSELF AGAINST RUSSIA HAS BECOME ONE OF THE MAJOR FARMING POINT INT HE WORLD.

THE UKRAINAIAN EXPORT ALL KINDS OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS INCLUDING WHEATS, ETC

MAJORITY OF WESTERN EUROPE DEPENDS ON FOOD CROPS THAT IS CULTIVATED IN UKRAINE.

THE WHOLE OF NORTHERN NIGERIA PUT TOGETHER IS ABOUT 4 OR 5 TIMES THE SIZE OF UKRAINE.

BUT THE NORTH CAN NOT DEVELOP AGRICULTURE FOR DOMESTIC CONSUMPTION LET ALONE FOR EXPORT TO OTHER COUNTRIES.

HAUSAS, FULANI, KANURI, NUPE, ETC.

NOTE THIS.

FREE MONEY WILL NOT BRING DEVELOPMENT TO THE NORTHERN PART OF NIGERIA.

BUT EDUCATION AND THE STRENGTH TO BELIEVE IN THE RESOURCES THAT COMES FROM YOUR OWN REGION.

NORTHERN POLITICAL LEADERS MUST PUT IN THEIR THINKING CAP.

START MASSIVE MECHANIZED AGRICULTURE.

STOP WASTING THE RESOURCES AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL TO DRILL FOR CRUDE OIL JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO GET 13% OIL DERIVATION MONEY.

GOD BLESS THE NORTH IN THE AREA OF AGRICULTURE.

NOT IN CRUDE OIL.

YOU CAN NOT WORK AGAINST GOD'S DISTRIBUTION OF RESOURCES.

NORTHERN NIGERIA POLITICAL LEADERS BREAK AWAY FROM SOUTHERN NIGERIA AND FORM YOUR OWN REPUBLIC.

AND THEN FACE AGRICULTURE WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH FOR INTERNALLY GENERATED REVENUE.

YOU SAY NO.

THAT YOU PREFER NIGER DELTA CRUDE OIL MONEY WHICH YOU LIKE BECAUSE IT IS FREE FOR YOU.

BUT YOUR POLITICAL LEADERS FROM THE NORTH WEST, NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTH EAST FORGOT THAT THE FREE MONEY THAT YOU ARE WAITING FOR COMES WITH A BIG PRICE.

YOUR AREA WILL NOT SEE ACCELERATED DEVELOPMENT.

YOU CONTINUE TO HOVER AND HOVER AROUND WITHOUT MAKING PROGRESS.

MANY OF THE LANDS IN THE NORTH ARE UNDER UTILIZE BECAUSE YOU FAILED TO EDUCATE YOUR YOUTHS POPULATION.

SKILLS AND CAPACITY BUILDING IS ALMOST ZERO IN THE NORTH.

Some days ago, Elder stateman and Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clarke said some states that were added to the NDDC that is Ondo state, Abia state and Imo state should be removed as it was an aberration by the previous government to have added their names to the list.

Chief Clarke went on to say that the founding members of the NDDC that is Edo state, Delta state, Bayelsa state, Rivers state, Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers states should be the only member of the NDDC.

He said some Northern states like Kogi state, Gombe, and Bauchi state have found some quantity of crude oil and they too will be thinking of joining the NDDC.

Chief Clarke stated that total confusion is already in the NDDC as outsiders who are not part of the south south geopolitical zones are desirous of being enlisted in NDDC.

He mentioned Anambra state as one of the state that want to join the NDDC even though they are not part of the Niger delta region.

Chief Clarke said each of the states that are oil producing that are not part of the Niger delta region should find a way to laise with the company drilling crude oil in their states instead of being enlisted in NDDC which they are not a part of.

With the way various minerals that we initially thought does not exist is springing up, I think each states in Nigeria should be allowed by the federal government to manage its mineral resources and then pay tax to the federal government.

At least we can all hear words.

The complaint against the federal government that she is sharing the resources of oil producing states to lazy and idle states in Nigeria should be brought to an end.

Even Lagos state have found oil too and she is also eying to enter NDDC.

MadamExcellency:
Anyone telling you that Naira is crashing due to importation is lying to you. Why is the US Dollar not crashing to the Chinese Yuan?

It is crashing because Nigerians lack confidence in their government and country.

It is crashing because of a lack of effective policy implementation.

It is crashing because every family wants to send one or more of their children abroad.

It is crashing because we have more bad guys in leadership positions who know how to follow shortcuts and evade punishment.

Finally, it is crashing because of the lack of credibility of the President.
It is crashing also because the federal government is not practicing True Federalism.

Most states in Nigeria can leverage on mechanized farming or Agriculture but they prefer the stipends from crude oil.

The high cost of governance brought about by the expensive presidential system in Nigeria is also at a cut throat cost to tax payer

1999 constitution may be a perfect one, but it was never the cause of our problem.
So many things is wrong with the 1999 constitution because Nigeria is not practicing True Federalism.

The constitution was drafted by the General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd) military government.

The same military boys that scuttled the parliamentary democracy that Great Britain gave Nigeria in 1960 at Independence.

Nigeria needs true federal constitution to make the core north and the south very productive.
Politics › Re: Nothing Wrong With 1999 Constitution — Ex-Justice Minister, Agabi by wink2015(m): 11:06pm On Oct 24, 2023
NORTHERNERS SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF RESTRUCTURING.

They wrongly feel they will loose so much if they are told to be self reliant without the need for crude oil money.

Stipends called federal allocation is what that is setting many of the states in northern Nigeria backward.

Nigeria should go back to the 1960 or 1963 constitution.

Regional government were very productive then compared to now when States in Nigeria settled for stipends.

The Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo developed the western region with money generated from cocoa export.

Any none oil producing states still surviving on federal government allocation is deceiving itself.

NIGERIA MUST INVEST IN AGRICULTURE.

We should stop deceiving ourselves.

Ukraine, Botswana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, etc are making a lot of money in Agricultural food products export.
