America you pushed Ukraine into all these problems with Russia.

You destroyed Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya

THANKS TO YOUR CONTROVERSIAL FOREIGN POLICY.

Your foreign policy interest is not even serving the good and well being of ordinary Ukrainian.

Travel › Re: Be Wary Of Northern Cyprus: FG Issues Travel Advisory For Nigerians by wink2015(m): 5:39pm On Oct 17, 2022
The beautiful Island of Cyprus was invaded by Turkish troops in 1974 following a military coup in Greece which Turkey suspect is aimed at uniting the whole of Cyprus with Greece.

They ( Turkeye) countered it by pushing their troops to take over the northern part of Cyprus to stop the suspected attempt by the government in Athens, Greece.

Since the invasion or annexation by Turkish government they have stubbornly held on to the island which they named Turkish Republic of North Cyprus.

Turkey has constantly disobeyed or defied United Nations and EU resolutions calling for a United Cyprus.

The Cyprus question which talks about the framework for unification of North Cyprus with South Cyprus as demanded by the United Nations has remained largely unanswered for many years.

This is because Turkeye which is the new name of Turkey is vehemently against North Cyprus unifying with the South Cyprus which is own by Greek speaking people and also supported by Greece.

Turkey feels unification will favour the Greek to the detriment of the Turkish. That is why they are against it.

The Turkish government in Ankara has over 30,000 military troops stationed in North Cyprus which is meant to strengthen their grip on the north which Turkey control.

I think Turkey should allow North Cyprus which is Turkish control and inhabited by ethnic Turkish people unify with the rich south Cyprus which is Greek control to form a United country.

As it is now no country except Turkey recognized the TRNC that is the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus.

When the country is United under United Nations auspices or administration the big power will recognized North Cyprus.

Alternatively, North Cyprus can seek for their own country free from control from Turkey their brother nation.

But the best way for North Cyprus is unification with their Greek brother and sister not minding the fact that they are Turkish.

When Cyprus become one then the world power like EU members state, Britain, USA, France, Germany etc will invest in North Cyprus and develop the economy of not only South Cyprus.

I think the whole of Cyprus will be a great country if the Turkish government push for a unified Cyprus.

The division is what is complicating the problems in North Cyprus.

Crimes have found it's way to the TRNC because of the Cyprus Question ❓

Cyprus Island is sunny, with Beach and it is supposed to be a touristic haven.

North Cyprus use to become an educational haven for students largely Africa that are seeking for qualitative and cheap tuition fee universities.

However, as more nationality trooped into North Cyprus the crime rate increased.

The federal government warning to Students from Nigeria that plan to go to North Cyprus is a welcome development.

A popular sayings goes this way !

TO BE FORWARNED IS TO BE FOREARM !

But what is the cheap alternative for Nigeria students if the federal government is requesting Nigeria students to shun North Cyprus, the TRCN?

Ukraine is at war with Russia over Ukraine desire to join NATO which Russia vehemently opposed.

Belarus is joining it's Russian brother and ally to provide military aide to Russia against Ukraine.

Schools in Nigeria is either not standard enough or is faced with constant strikes by universities and polytechnic lecturers.

Tell us about the visa processing to Peru from Nigeria to Peru.

How is the visa processing right from Nigeria?

As for the travel arrangements, I guess you took a transit visa from Lagos to UAE, then from UAE you boarded a flight to Brazil and then connect Peru from Brazil.

I think Peru is a good place to learn Spanish language which is the official language of Peru and most of the south American countries.

Politics › Re: Mukhtar Shagari: I Declined Being Obi's Vice President Because He Cannot Win by wink2015(m): 12:13pm On Oct 12, 2022
NORTHERNERS TRADITIONALLY DO NOT FANCY THE IDEA OF BEING VICE PRESIDENT TO A SOUTHERN PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANT.

They prefer the position of President.

It is only in exceptional cases that they give in to accept to run under a southern Presidential aspirant especially if the northerner aspirant is highly enlightened and exposed.

That is why Namadi Sambo and Baba Ahmed Datti ran for vice president under a southerner Presidential aspirant.

To many of these northerner they believe the position President of Nigeria is permanently meant for core northerner alone.

Alhaji Muktar Shagari should remember that Late Alex Ekwueme was Vice President under his late father during the 2nd republic from October 1979 to December 1983 when the Buhari coup terminated the democracy.

Later there were Former speaker of House of representatives, Late Ume Ezeoke who was Vice Presidential aspirant under Buhari.

Current Labor party aspirant in February 2023 presidential election Mr Peter Obi also ran as vice presidential aspirant under Atiku before he went his separate ways berting his political race under labor party.

Alhaji Muktar Shagari is behaving like his northern brother Alhaji Kwankwaso.

The north must accept the fact that southern political leaders are entitled to the office of President of Nigeria.

The PDP is in political crisis today because they zone the office to the north in contravention of the unwritten arrangements that after 8 years political office with regard to the presidency must be zone to the south after the north have held the position for 8 years.

Why is the north not interested in selling the candidate of southern origin before their people?

Let us call a spade a spade

LETS GO BACK TO THE MAIN ISSUE ON THE FRONT BURNER.

Is Britain fair to its former colony.

The answer is NO !

At Independence Britain left countless of problems in their former colonies while at the same time they keep on exploiting the resources of Africa.

These newly Independent countries like Nigeria thought the British gave them true freedom but they were living in ignorant.

Even in the Carribean countries like Barbados etc they want to do away with the British monarchy.

Britain is supporting the oppressive government in its former colonies.

HAUSA FULANI IS DOMINATING IN NIGERIA BECAUSE OF THE ROLE OF THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT.

When the likes of Professor Uju start complaining she is expressing her anger from the fountain of truth.

Yes she is disrespectful to the late queen and her subjects and the British monarchical institution.

But that character by her does not displace the fundamental truth about the role of Britain in its pre Independence and post independence period.

ANTARTICA IS SUPPOSED TO BE A NO MAN'S LAND.

BUT SOME COUNTRIES HAVE BEEN MAKING TERRITORIAL CLAIM TO IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW.

They even built their research station in the Antartica.

I think Antartica is getting more important as a centre of global attention as the STRONG AND VERY COLD ICE IN THE ANTARTICA have started melting just like the ones that can be found in Alaska ( USA ) Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Russia etc

Seven sovereign states–Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, New Zealand, Norway, and the United Kingdom–have made eight territorial claims in Antarctica.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: An Accountant Lost His Job, See Why? by wink2015(m): 5:08pm On Sep 07, 2022
Threesha:
An accountant lost his job the other day.

Here is what happened:

The Head of Operations walked in and asked the accountant to transfer a large payment to a vendor immediately.

He highlighted that it was critical that the transfer take place urgently or the company would lose a deal.

The HoO further said that the MD/CEO was aware of the transaction and that she would be devastated if the company lost the sale because of untimely payment.

So, on the instruction of the Head of Operations, our young accountant initiated the payment.

It was eventually discovered that there was a major issue with that supplier since they did not deliver the products. An internal review revealed that there were major reservations about working with that supplier. Indeed, the MD was taken aback about why the payment was made to such a problematic supplier.

The accountant was summoned to explain why he processed the payment and said it was per the HoO's instructions. The HoO strongly responded that he had never given such an order.

The accountant was sacked on the spot for negligence because there was no documentary evidence that he followed the HoO's directions.

While many things could have been managed better with adequate processes and controls in place, that is not the point of the story.

Yes, our accountant was a victim of unfortunate circumstances, but when you understand the type of atmosphere you operate in, you must take extra precautions to protect yourself.

1. Always require written or other recorded evidence for all transactions.

2. Verify whatever information you are provided to act on. Even if it comes from the MDs themselves. "Trust but verify." It is difficult to verify without documentation.

3. Finally, impose a system in which "nothing is urgent." There must be some processing time involved. That is the time when you calmly go over all the pertinent information and documents linked to what is on your desk. People use "urgent" and chaotic situations to commit all sorts of folly.

The above may be difficult to implement, especially in weak-control environments (read: one-man businesses), but they are necessary for your peace of mind.

Who can say? You could be the catalyst for change.
Very informative.
