dalaman:Show me where the Bible supports the pope or masturbation or forever remain silent. And please go look up the word delusion and confusion cos clearly you are unintelligent. Since the universe created us, I posted a picture which you and your friends have kept mute to, answer it if you feel your brain is more developed than theirs
|
dalaman:You might need to rephrase the bolded statement, Cos in your own words, billions of people around the world are nut cases. Thats very stup1d and myopic. You and the other minority atheists are the ones who need to check yourselves... So which discovery of the following; Nicholas Copernicus, Sir Francis Bacon, Johannes Kepler, Rene Descartes, Blaise Pascal, Isaac Newton, Robert Boyle, Michael Faraday, Gregor Mendel, William Thomson Kelvin, Max Planck. ran against their belief in God. Hear what you say; I need to show you your Creator and describe Him to you. Use your brains please. |
dalaman:blah, blah, blah!!!....The pope says this, Is it in my Bible?, Oyakilome says that, is it in my Bible?...... People like you are easily swayed and thats the exact reason you yield easily to ignorance. I wonder what school grades you made. Even the Bible warns against false prophets, the Bible is our guide, our lamp. Whatever is not in the word of God is contrary. Open your eyes and mind to reason please. |
dalaman:I think the same thing happened somewhere in the Bible, Some magicians performed the same sign showed by a prophet of God. The Bible never said they dont have power, but says they will be powerless against the children of God. They do have powers but only Jesus saves. God is All-powerful. |
KingEbukasBlog:Great reply, looks like ive missed some part of the party |
dalaman:You are obsessed with God, if not you wont be here. its evident in your posts. I wonder why you guys mention scientists at every small oppourtunity, its not like they have anything to offer atheism, most ofthe worlds greatest scientists believed in God. No one, no man can carnally discover God. You need to diligently seek Him not by this display of ignorance here. |
dalaman:Dumb, very dumb. What other message do they preach apart from the gospel of Christ? |
Here are 6 clear signs that you are under spiritual attack. Feelings of Condemnation Many people go through times of depression or feelings of low self-esteem and this is perfectly normal. What isn’t normal is to stay there. Some Christians may begin to have feelings of condemnation and clearly, that is not from God. There is a huge difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation makes a person feel hopelessly condemned and heading for the judgment of God. There is fear and trepidation about the future. They might feel that they can’t possibly be saved. Conviction on the other hand drives us to repentance and directs us away from sin. Conviction is good; condemnation is not. They are certainly not the same. The believer must remember what is written in Romans 8:1 where Paul says “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” To be in Jesus Christ means that you have had a time in your life where you were broken over your sins and you repented (turned away and forsook your sins) and then placed your trust in Christ. For those who have trusted in Him, they will not be ashamed at the return of Christ for He took the punishment of the wrath of God that we deserved which He didn’t. That’s why there is no more condemnation for believers. If you are feeling condemnation right now, you are either not saved and can be saved right now or you are mixing up the convicting work of the Holy Spirit over your sin verses the condemnation that the enemy is sending you. That could be a spiritual attack from the enemy. Don’t believe your feelings because feelings are the shallowest part of the human psyche. Believe what God says, not what you feel. Loss of Spiritual Appetite When we are under spiritual attack the last thing we feel like doing is reading our Bible or hearing biblical messages or preaching but at the very time we lose our spiritual appetite is the exact time that we need it most. Dive into Romans chapter 8, John chapter 6 and 10 or the Book of Philippians (the so- called “joy epistle”). The best remedy for starving from spiritual food is to indulge on the Word of God. When you don’t feel like reading the Bible, read it anyway. When you get into the Word of God the Word of God gets into you because the Word has effectual power to change your mind and your mood. This could well be a sign that you’re going through a spiritual attack. Satan and his minions hate the Word of God because they know the end of the story for them. When Satan reminds you of your past, remind him of his future (Rev 20:10)! Feast on the Word of God and get your spiritual appetite back. Prayers hit the Ceiling We might think that our prayers are hitting the ceiling and then falling back to earth but that is certainly not the case at all. The Book of Hebrews says “we have a great high priest” (Heb 4:14) and do you think this High Priest, Jesus Christ, will fail to intercede for us? Name a time when Jesus Christ ever failed. That number would be zero! The fact is that “Jesus has entered on our behalf [as] He has become a high priest forever” (Heb 6:20) for us and this High Priest “sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven” (Heb 8:1) so He has direct access to the Father. This means that “he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God's presence” (Heb 9:24). If you feel your prayers are hitting the ceiling, confess any known sin and then go to the High Priest and know your prayers will be hand delivered by the King of kings. Don’t trust your feelings…it could be the enemy shooting fiery darts of doubt at you. Feelings of Overwhelming Helplessness This happens to me a lot; I feel so overburdened and overwhelmed that I feel that there isn’t any hope. I feel completely hopeless. Now stop and read that first sentence of mine to identify the problem. It is “I feel” and “I feel” and “I feel” repeated three times. Once more, I am putting too much stock in feelings when they are the most undependable of all human belief and emotions. Feelings are not trustworthy at all. I must rely on God and His Word which tells me time and time again that “in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (Rom 8:37). This verse says that we are already conquerors…in fact more than conquerors. We are victors. Trust God’s Word not your feelings, no matter how overwhelming life gets. This could be the enemy trying to convince you that you’re done; stick a fork in you, but that’s a lie straight out of the pit of hell. Isolation If you are pulling away from your friends, particularly your godly friends, and you have stopped going to church and have no desire to be with the saints of God in the Body of Christ, that is a bad place to be my friend. Let me tell you why. Peter writes “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour” (1st Pet 5: so just like in the wild, the lion will seek out those who are wounded and hurt which have strayed from the pack. The stragglers are the most vulnerable to attacks from the enemy. When you feel like you want to stay isolated, get back into the Body of Christ; into the sheepfold where Jesus is the Great Shepherd. There is safety in numbers. It’s very likely the enemy.Increasing Patterns of Sin Experiencing increasing patterns of sin is a big issue for many Christians. I know quite a few Christians who claim to be saved yet their lifestyle looks nothing like that of a believer but that’s a different issue. If know you’re saved but you find yourself slipping back into the sinful patterns and habits that you had been avoiding you might be getting hit by the enemy. We really have three enemies to fight; the flesh, the world, and the enemy and his demons. If you are falling into an increasing pattern of sin, seek prayer from others, get back into the Word daily, and pray, pray, and then pray some more. Ask God to put new desires in your heart and to help you avoid areas of your life and places you might go that offer temptation. When I got saved years ago I had to leave many of my friends because they were doing things that I no longer wanted to do. I had no desire to do drugs, drink alcohol, or watch pornography or violent movies anymore. Stop, pray, read, and get away from the places or the people that drag you back into those sins. The enemy wants you back; don’t go there. Conclusion If you have been experiencing condemnation, have lost your spiritual appetite, believe that your prayers just bounce off the ceiling, have overwhelming feelings of helplessness, are becoming more and more isolated from other Christians, and are falling into increasing patterns of sin, it’s time to put on the spiritual armor of God (Eph 6:10-18) and prepare for battle for he wants to have you back but you were already bought with a price (1st Cor 6:20) and that price was the precious blood of the Lamb of God and you are not your own anymore (1st Cor 6:19). You belong to Christ so Satan, “hands off!” God bless you Article by Pastor Jack Wellman

Weah96:Someone should please explain what comprehension means to this guy. Read my reply again, you'll get the point. |
menesheh:lol. i thought your thread was about how small God is, now yhu say he dosent exist. Aint you messed up |

KingEbukasBlog:Lmao, I guess menehsheh is aiming for the position of chief subject. To bad his god has neglected him. |
KingEbukasBlog:I tell you, wetin we no go hear from them. Switching from a self existing universe to human relevance and significance. Cluelessness at its peak. |
KingEbukasBlog:He wouldnt dare to go against his god, would he? |
menesheh:I know you're not sane as you've stated. Sane people make findings and read to gain knowledge. Here's what you need; 1. Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space (New York: Random House, 1994). 2. Stephen Hawking, A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes (New York: Bantam, 1988). 3. Hugh Ross, Why The Universe Is The Way It Is (Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Books, 2008). There you go!!!, Bravo menehsheh, you did it!!! You dont impart knowledge, even your copied posts dont. You only succeed in showing more obsession with God and religion everyday of your life. I know it has to do more with your low self-esteem but your god-man has not even acknowledged you as his subject, i suggest you accord him more worship, that way you might gain some relevance and maybe find out how odd you sound. Once again, engaging you is like arguing with a tree, Its pointless. |
timonski:Lol. You try, I know menehsheh has something for small talks. If i dont make him feel important by gracing his invitation, who will? |

You may also note that while a man is conceivably nothing with the respect to the universe, an atom is conceivably nothing with respect to the man. We are stuck in the middle of two infinite physical aspects. Thus to chase after the vastness of the cosmos, or try to split among the quantum, is quite a vanity, and really, y'all ought to just swallow your pride, be humble before your God, admit your incapacities, concede to the truth. You are not its basis for being. This question is: how long will it take YOU to believe in Christ? For, "all things were created through him and for him". Hallelujah.

Whatever dude, Johny's your mother-sucking god. With all reality and logic pointing towards a Creator and a created universe, you have decided to shift your baseless arguments to human relevance and significance. The overwhelming evidence for a Creator who is intensely interested in humans is what another host such as the op may use to argue that if there is a God, we must not be very significant to God. I quite understand, now which view is correct? I will look into the Bible (because you also did) and into current scientific theories. According to the Bible, the transcendent Creator of this universe made humans in His own image as the focal point of His creation. The Opand other atheists points to the vastness of the universe as evidence that humans cannot be the focal point of a theistic creation. The famous astronomer, author, and television personality Carl Sagan put it this way: "Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves." Famous physicist Stephen Hawking wrote, “Our Solar System is certainly a prerequisite for our existence . . . . but there does not seem to be a need for all these other galaxies.” In other words, why would God create this huge universe, if He was primarily interested in His relationship with one species occupying a tiny planet? I agree that this is a reasonable question. After all, based on observations from the Hubble Telescope, the current best estimate for the number of stars in the observable universe is 5 * 10 to the power 22; that is a 5 with 22 zeros after it. How many stars is that? if you were to count one star every second, it would take you only fifteen hundred trillion years to count them. These stars are spread over billions of light years. Amazingly, all of these stars account for only about 1% of the total mass of the universe. Why did God now create such a vast universe, placing us on a single small planet with no reasonable hope of ever traveling beyond our solar system? I dont think the size of our universe run counter to a biblical worldview. Let me show it. If God is the Creator of the universe, and the Bible is revelation directly from God, then accurate observation of the universe will ultimately prove to be consistent with His revelation. By combining the general revelation of science with the special revelation of the Bible, we have been rewarded with a greater understanding of the nature of our Creator and His intentions for mankind. Let’s see if this is true in addressing the vastness of the universe. First let’s consider what God’s special revelation for us, the Bible, has to say about the vastness of the universe. The Bible often refers to God’s creative work in “stretching out the heavens” and filling it with stars (e.g. Job 9:8, Zech 12:1). A review of Bible passages on the stars and the heavens reveals a number of reasons why a vast universe is consistent with humans being the most significant part of creation. We need to realize that creating a vast universe is not harder for God than creating a smaller universe. God brought the universe into existence out of nothing. He had no limits on the amount of matter and energy created. Consequently, it is meaningless to say that it would be a tremendous waste for God to create so many lifeless galaxies. The concept of waste only applies when there is a limited supply. When there is an unlimited supply, you can use all you desire; there is plenty more where that came from. Within this vast universe, God placed earth in potentially the only place in the universe capable of supporting advanced life. There are many aspects of the universe that are hidden from the casual observer, but the vastness of the heavens is not one of them. God created the earth and positioned it in an ideal place so that humans could observe the vastness of the heavens and the enormous number of stars. The Bible points out at least five purposes for humans observing this vast universe: 1. To reveal His majesty and power. Job refers to this understanding as he reflected on his sufferings stating, "Who commands the sun not to shine, And sets a seal upon the stars; Who alone stretches out the heavens And tramples down the waves of the sea; Who makes the Bear, Orion and the Pleiades, And the chambers of the south; Who does great things, unfathomable, And wondrous works without number. Were He to pass by me, I would not see Him; Were He to move past me, I would not perceive Him. Were He to snatch away, who could restrain Him? Who could say to Him, “What are You doing?” (Job 9:7-12). Later, God confronts Job with His lack of understanding the full power and majesty of His Creator: Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding, . . . . Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades, Or loose the cords of Orion? Can you lead forth a constellation in its season, And guide the Bear with her satellites? Do you know the ordinances of the heavens, Or fix their rule over the earth? (Job 38:4, 31-33). As we see in this passage, God intentionally did creative, wondrous works without number so that we could glimpse His greatness. 2. To emphasize our insignificance without God. The vastness of the heavens highlights how insignificant humans are apart from God’s concern for us. The primary lesson that Job learned through his experience was that we are in no position to critique God’s actions over His creation. God’s creation is so vast that any significance we have comes solely from God’s choice to be concerned with us. Job stated it this way: “Behold, I am insignificant; what can I reply to You?” (Job 40:4) King David was the most significant person in Israel during his reign, but when he considered the vastness of God’s creation he acknowledged our insignificance: "When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him" (Ps 8:3-4)? 3. As a measure of His loving kindness toward us. God uses the vastness of the heavens to help us understand the magnitude of His love for us, stating, “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His loving kindness toward those who fear Him” (Ps 103:11). God’s love for us is greater than the billions of light years which separate us from the most distant galaxies. 4. As a picture of His faithfulness and forgiveness. In a similar way, God uses our inability to completely grasp the breadth and depth of the universe to emphasize spiritual truths. Through Jeremiah, God promised a new covenant where He will remember our sins no more. God used the vastness of the heavens to convey His promise to never cast those in the new covenant away from Him with these words, Thus says the LORD, “If the heavens above can be measured And the foundations of the earth searched out below, Then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel For all that they have done,” declares the LORD (Jer 31:37). Just as you rightly said, astronomers recognize that the universe we can observe is much smaller than the state of the universe as it exists today. Due to the finite speed of light, it is impossible to directly observe the current size of the universe or count the exact number of stars. Just as the heavens can never be measured, God will never cast us off from His presence. 5. As a reminder that our understanding is limited. Our Creator understands the universe from one end to the other and from the beginning of time to its end. As humans, we are just beginning to probe its mysteries. So, God reminds us, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isa 55:9). It is clear that God intended us to observe and study the stars and the heavens. As a part of God’s general revelation, the magnitude of the universe speaks to His greatness. Through God’s special revelation, we see God using the vastness of His creation to teach us lessons about who we are and how we relate to Him. For a Creator who was willing to sacrifice His only Son on the cross for our redemption, it would be child’s play to create a vast universe solely for our instruction. With this understanding, the vastness of the universe becomes a testament to our importance to God rather than evidence of our insignificance. Examine these three reasons why the universe must occupy the mass and volume that it does in order for advanced carbon based life to exist on this planet. 1. The exact mass of the universe is necessary for life supporting elements to exist. 2. The exact mass of the universe is required to regulate the expansion of the universe to allow the formation of the sun and the solar system. 3. The vast volume of the universe is required to give the earth just the right amount of light and other electromagnetic radiation to support life and not destroy it. Mere Coincidence huh ![]() Well, we are faced with a divine “coincidence”: the same fine-tuned distance required to safely place a habitable planet is also the exact distance required to keep that planet out of the deadly spiral arms. Not only must the earth be located far from the center of the Milky Way, the Milky Way must be located far enough away from other galaxies to maintain the stability of its spiral structure. Many aspects of the Milky Way appear to be very rare or unique in the universe. It then becomes laring, as a logical application of current scientific orthodoxy based on the Big Bang and constant natural laws overwhelmingly supports the view that the vastness of the universe does not imply that human life is unremarkable and insignificant. Naah, on the contrary, the most reasonable conclusion from the evidence is that life on this planet is the primary purpose behind the vastness of our universe. Both the Bible and the results of scientific observation agree: our vast universe is the work of a Creator who considers life on earth as very significant. If the writer says God is too small for him, well, two things; Its either he has made man his god, or likened God to a man. something very peculiar to menehsheh. We don’t have to convince a seeker that the world is much younger than it appears in order to answer the question, “Are we significant to our Creator?” We can say, “Whether you look to the teaching of the Bible or you look at the current prevailing models from the scientific community, the answer is definitely yes!” The important question is, “Is it possible to know more about my Creator and have a relationship with Him?” Beginning with the death and resurrection of Jesus, we can explain how to have an eternal relationship with God and why we believe the Bible is the reliable source of information about our Creator and our universe. Can someone give a valid answer to the picture below, since human existence is just one great coincidence. I've not gotten any reasonably logical answer in a long while.

timonski:What exactly dont you understand. -that cause began time? -that time serves as a distinction for effect? -that time measures the durations of events (cause and effect in this case) and the intervals between them? -that time itself is an effect of a cause? Your argument is all in favour of an infinite universe. Be more precise pls. Let me take your questions. Time is used as a starting point for an effect/response in the case of a finite universe. Stephen Hawking in particular has addressed that even if time did not begin with the Big Bang (an infinite universe like you have proposed) and there were another time frame before the Big Bang, no information from events then would be accessible to "us" (you), and nothing that happened then would have any effect upon the present time-frame. Time preceeds matter, yeah. At a period in time, there was no matter, yeah. What was time used to differentiate between? Simple. TIME STARTED. I mean, since there was no matter before time, what difference could time measure but the begining of matter . I see your infinite matter theory as nothing but speculative physics. Employ validity, provide a sufficient cause for your infinite matter theory. |

dalaman:Dont be lazy, my post emphasized his book and film and not his life. Google is ur friend na. No amputee, but death has been overcome in my family, all glory to God. |
timonski: Removing God from the equation, you have dragged me back to causation/causality and ive explained that earlier on. We will relate two events, a first and a second. i.e a cause and an effect, where the first event is understood to be responsible for the second. I explained sufficient and adequate causes. other causes you might wanna argue include; Necessary causes: If x is a necessary cause of y, then the presence of y necessarily implies the presence of x. The presence of x, however, does not imply that y will occur. Contributory causes: A cause may be classified as a "contributory cause", if the presumed cause precedes the effect, and altering the cause alters the effect, regardless of whether either the cause or the effect appears only in the presence of the other. Probabilistic causation Interpreting causation as a deterministic relation means that if A causes B, then A must always be followed by B. In this sense, war does not cause deaths, nor does smoking cause cancer. Causal calculus When experimental interventions are infeasible or illegal, the derivation of cause effect relationship from observational studies must rest on some qualitative theoretical assumptions. None of the other causes refute the God cause claim. Saying events preceeds time is synonymous to effects preceeding cause. It then automatically requires another cause. In simple words, the initial existence of matter still requires a cause. You said it yourself, A begining requires events, a cause . So please dont say matter is eternal, you contradict yourself. For how i arrived at God being the cause, you can refer to my earlier posts. |
dalaman:I've advised you people not to make use of the word open-mindedness ever again, let me add free-thinking to the list of words you'll should never ever use. Cos clearly your thinking is myopic and sealed. He wanted to make money?, the hospital and its doctors too wanted to make money?, the medical reports too were for profit? How much has he made since then? Why are you people like this? How do you live your life having to believe in a lie?. My family is a testimony, I have tasted and seen that God is good. Does it matter if i tell you anymore testimonies, especially considering the fact that you've decided to close your heart. |
timonski:If the universe is infinite, then it is a supernatural phenomenon because it cannot be explained logically. This is actually the atheists best argument against God’s existence – that the universe is infinite and in no need of a creator. But I don’t know of any evidence that supports an infinite universe theory neither have i seen any atheist that does. There is solid finite universe evidence (laws of thermodynamics for one), but it isn’t 100% conclusive. Either way, something supernatural exists. If the universe is finite , then the following is the rational conclusion to draw . There is no logical way out of it unless you’re willing to lie to yourself. Science tries to determine the age of the universe, but we’re still left with the question of what was first. What started our finite universe? The answer is very simple – something finite or something infinite. Now finite and infinite are mutually exclusive and there is no middle ground. You can’t be kind of finite or kind of infinite. It’s one or the other – black and white. Finite things have a beginning and end and infinite things have no beginning and no end (deliciously supernatural ).The problem with something finite being the beginning source is that it requires a beginning source itself in order to begin (and that keeps looping ). If you think finite matter appeared out of nothingness without cause, not only do you believe in something supernatural, but you’re completely delusional about it. In a universe nothing of nothing, something can’t happen because there is no matter, air, space or anything! There’s nothing and no catalyst to activate that nothing. Natural law cannot produce a viable theory or concept that agrees with logic for the initial instance of matter – and our universe is very likely finite, disagree with this and you already believe in the supernatural. This is a problem that Naturalists will never resolve logically. Many atheists refuse or hesitate to accept the “ infinite thing” because we live with finite , tangible things. But if we broadly consider existence using logic, there is no other explanation. The first cause has to be independent of any other cause, and there must be a first cause because nothing can’t produce something. Many have questioned what makes the first cause exempt from needing a cause, why the first cause exists, and so on. These questions have an unknowable supernatural answer, and this is where atheists turn around and run. The existence of the universe breaks the laws of nature and everything we understand. If it is deemed logical that something supernatural exists, our observations and logic about that something are rendered useless to understand how it works otherwise it wouldn’t be supernatural. I hope you've been able to catch a glimpse of the supernatural. |
Weah96:Dont even go there, the scientific endeavor actually has nothing to offer atheism, atheists have only co-opted it and employed it as a façade which they wrap around atheism in order to make it appear as if it is deserving of the merits of scientific respectability. The contradiction in the atheist’s attempt to employ science towards their end is: 1. The claim that science only deals with the material and therefore, has nothing to say about the immaterial or supernatural. 2. The claim that science has disproved the immaterial or supernatural. Despite this, some atheists claim that the way that science disproves the immaterial or supernatural is by increasingly finding material causes for material effects. It does not trouble us because God created the material realm and it follows logically that material effects will have material causes and such causes and effects do not exclude the immaterial or supernatural such as God, or miracles. Atheists have restricted their thought processes and would have to deny a miracle or appearance of God even if it took place before their very eyes. These atheists would opt for a “faith”-based belief that someday someone (a scientist) will find a materialistic explanation; or the fallacy of expected future human omniscience. Or they may, also without evidence, appeal to hallucination even if numerous people witnessed the same event, such as the Resurrection of Jesus. (hallucinations occur within the brain and thus, are not shared). Or they might simply be satisfied with thinking that they will never know. For the atheists who have their minds made up as to God’s non-existence, it follows that there is no evidence for God’s existence. This restricts their thinking because their chosen worldview would not allow them to see reality for what it is, would not allow them to follow the evidence but would numb their cognitive faculties as they stare into the corner of absolute materialism—atheism is the Valium of the people. Science gives satisfaction to the curious because of its explanatory scope. If a Christian claims that God created life, the scientifically-minded atheist would ask, “How?” Certainly, the Christian is likewise curious, but the Christian’s inability to explain how God did it makes the atheist disinterested. Yet, it is important to note that this amounts to the atheist’s attempt, or pseudo-attempt, to place all things within the purview of science, which is an unscientific (philosophical/religious) position. How can all that is knowable be known to be knowable through science?. |
Anas09:Lool, You'll make 'em dumb by bringing up the issue of consciousness. |
Weah96:Weak-minded people, ignorant people, wishy-washy people, deluded people, lazy people, illiterates, otherwise free-thinkers, hand-wavers , illogical people, irrational people. What other adjectives do you people use. Y'all need to really think when yhu make use of these words. I didnt just "wave my hands", My inference is solidly logical. As a matter of fact, you are the one waving your hands in an illogical claim "that the universe and man came from nowhere for no reason". |
